Roxas' strange armor.

This is for people who've played through the whole game, or most of it at least.
In the scene where Xion is fighting Xigbar, and she appears as Roxas for a moment
, did anyone else notice the strange shoulder armor? Anyone know what this is, and if it's connected to BBS?

Oh really? That's awesome. Does anyone have any idea yet what the connection, if any, between Roxas and Ven is? I haven't been keeping up with BBS info.
 
This is only my theory, but I think something happened between Ven and Sora. It has been revealed that a child Sora is in BBS so I say, after something happens
(probably the also largely known Terra=Xehanort theory)
that something happens with him and Sora.
This could be the reason why Sora's nobody resembles Ven and MAYBE I am not sure but if Xion is from Sora's leaked memories or stuff (I am not at all sure if that IS it) then maybe some connection to Sora's encounter with Ven as a child made Xigbar see Xion as Ven.

yeah that actually makes more sense than other parts of the game lol
 
Xion appeared as Ven, not Roxas. He is an upcoming character in BBS. Xigbar knew this person and as 358/2 Days explains, or at least shows you, Xion looks different depending on who is looking at her. Xigbar remembered Ven, and Since Ven may have some connection to Sora like Xion, as she was created from his leaking memories, she beacame Ven to his eyes. Another example would be when Saix looks at her. All he sees is a hooded doll, for some reason.
 
A connection did happen between Ventus and Sora in BBS. At the end of the game when Ventus destroys the X-Blade and his himself, his heart finds Sora and passes his heart to Sora. This is why Roxas looks like Ventus.
