[RP]Code Geass:Academy of Geass

"Attention All Student's Please move to the Knightmare Hangar Training Sessions are starting now."

All the other students began to leave the Garden and head in one direction. Rok had just missed his chance to mark Morgan with his Geass. He was a little disappointed at first, but reminded himself he would have plenty of chances to do so later.

-I wonder if I'll be able to see as far as he does when he activates his Geass.

As Rok followed to crowd to the hanger, he closed his eyes to get another look at the where student he had already marked was. He was able to see a smaller group running ahead. As soon as that group reached the hanger, Rok noticed that each went straight to specific knightmares.

-Is everyone already assigned a knightmare except me? I only got to run simulators before this. This isn't fair. Do I even get a knightmare?

Rok began to worry little by little as his group approached the hanger. He had not even noticed if any of them had been talking to him or not. He just could not help but think that they would not trust him with one.

His worry only grew when he saw as the people he had been walking with head to their own designated spots. He felt awkward just standing there as other students climbed into these magnificent constructs.

After a moment passed an instructor approached Rok.
" Mr. Dails? Sorry that you had not been assigned a frame before today, but yours was still in the process of being built. You will be piloting the Tempest, model X."

"Model X?" Rok could not help but wonder what was so special about his new Knightmare frame. The "x" had to be significant in some way.

"It is the tenth incarnation of the Tempest design. The Tempest X will be the first to be used out in the field."

The instructor began to guide Rok across the hangar to the far end. As they approached the end, Rok noticed a knightmare that was smaller than the others that stood around it, and much more simple. This was the Tempest X. Rok knew it immediately. The instructor had left him there to wonder why he got stuck with a model like this one, and why it took so many tries just to get it.

Morgan headed toward the hangar, and he couldn’t deny that he was a bit excited. Today, they got to pilot their Knightmares. This was the moment that he was really looking forward. There was something about the fact that he was piloting a giant robot that appealed to the inner child inside, even to the point that it surpassed his usual personality.

He found himself in front of his Knightmare much quicker than he thought he would. He took a moment to look at it, to admire its design and bask in its brilliance as only he could. Then he got in, a slight exciting feeling growing in his stomach that had never been there before. He hoped that the others were ready, he wouldn’t pull any punches and he didn’t expect them to either.

R.R.:All Students Get inside your Knightmare frames and proceed outside we will be conducting training in a urban area we'll see what you can do with limits..

You are not allowed to destroy alot of building's,Be Careful on what weapons you use.

Those who fail to use the two rules will be out of knightmare training for 1 week which will hurt your chances at becoming Knight's of Lady Nunnally!

Oh one more thing your weapons are like a Lazer Tag game atm if you get hit by a killing blow your to come back and wait..

With that said Aaron walks towards his knightmare and boots it up

Aaron:Heh my knightmare excels in close quarter combat so I should rock in this

He moves into the Urban Area and Hide's in the bridge section using his flight mode to hide under it

Aaron: Now I wait...

Ally
Sinner IV

Which should be quite an issue, considering how most of my attacks are fairly destructive... And I'm too slow to maneuver around such tight spaces.

Sighing softly, she reached up above her cockpit for the goggles that allowed her the same visual perspective as her Frame did. She continued on with her preparations, strapping on the belts that will bound her in place when her Frame begins to engage in battle, switching on the power generators scattered, and staring around the hangar through the eyes of her Frame.

Her Geass was already busy at work, even as the preparations ended.

The urban area. A really terrible place for combat training with my Sinner IV. Considering the destructive potential of my Frame's weapons, these buildings rarely ever stand after I get the mission over and done with.

Slowly, Ally moves herself over to the bridge area.

The bridge. According to various treatises on war, this is a favorite location for launching ambushes. Be it in the past, where weaponry were the simple blade and arrows, or now, with Knightmare Frames. This location is best mentioned in strategy classes to impress people. It didn't last long though.

Amused at this revelation, Ally powers up Despair, ready for any surprise attack that may come as she walks cautiously over the bridge.

[OOC: For the convenience of others, maybe it might be good to put the link to your bios so we can know what sort of abilities you have... So on and so forth, especially since some of us have some foreknowledge of another character.

Here's mine, also linked above.

Morgan heard the announcement and made a mental note to himself. Try to keep destruction to a minimum, a simple enough request. He was a slight disadvantage in this exercise because he was a ranged fighter, but there were always ways to cope. The Avalon Mark 2 could be quite a force to be reckoned with, and his Geass would help out a bit.

He stopped his Knightmare’s movement, thinking his actions over. There was a bridge in view, but that seemed like an obvious ambush. He could hear his father lecturing him about military tactics in the back of his head, but he couldn’t quite remember it all. Since I depend on range attacks, he thought, I should try to find a place with a view, so that I can snipe people off from a distance.

He started moving again, trying to think of where he could find such a place. The answer wasn’t readily obvious to him, so he stopped thinking about it for a moment. Better to scout the city area, and pay attention in case he ran into anyone along the way. Once he knew the location better, he could make an informed decision.

OOC: Fair enough Rav, here's my profile: http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/showpost.php?p=912137&postcount=23

Cecilia made her way to the Cockpit of the Swift, her Sniper Frame. As an expert in long range combat, pegging enemies from long ranges would be simple if she remained true to the machine, move swift from cover to cover and eliminate the enemy.

Cecilia sighed as she strapped herself to the seat, and powered up the Knightmare Frame. Using the boosters, Swift flew upwards and landed on top of a large building. Positioning the frame on one knee, she aimed down the barrel of the sniper rifle, fortunately, this was more like a Laser Tag match so the rifle rounds would not harm the pilots of any of her opponents. Now she will see who will get caught in the sniper's path.

Rok heard the announcement made by R.R. He was trying hard to imagine why they expected this of him so soon after receiving his knightmare frame. He had no idea what it could even do. he had always been quick at learning new things, but this sort of task was just too much to ask.
It then came to him that maybe they have total faith in his ability. This could just be another one of their tests to see how well he can adapt to new situations. He needed to show that he could handle it. There was nothing that was going to stop him from showing off what he was capable of.
Rok ran to his knightmare frame and jumped straight into the cockpit. After a quick look around, he noticed that it was a very basic design for the controls. The simulator that he had practiced on had been much more complicated that the machine he was about to pilot. The only thing that threw him off was a series of switches and a large button covered by a glass case just by his right arm. Right next to the button was a letter meant for him.

' instructions for Tempest X weapon systems may be found in you personal computer system.'

Rok pulled out his pocket PC he had been given earlier in his time at the academy and turned it on.
The Tempest had very basic weapons for its regular use. Standard melee weapons placed on the forearms of the machine. They could be used for grappling hooks if needed. The thing that got to him was how there were no basic weapons for ranged use. They really wanted him to work for his success.
Rok did a bit more searching and found information on the button behind the glass. It apparently was the trigger for the frame's main weapon.
After reading through the entire profile, Rok came to the conclusion that his knightmare frame was designed to be an anti carrier weapon and nothing else. The Tempest series had been a series of this type of weapon, but the X was the only one incorporated into a frame for an individual to fire. This was definitely an obstacle that he had to get around.

Rok put his PC back into his pocket and strapped himself into his seat. He let out a long sigh and started the Tempest X. He was going to be the last one to leave the hangar, but he was sure that the instructors would understand.

Aaron Lets go of the bridge when he hear's someone above him and flies around the bridge and see's Ally's Knightmare,He slashes toward's her knightmare

Aaron:Ragnarok Seiten Engaging!!

((OOC:Really short pot but reviving it for battle))

Ally
Sinner IV

It would appear that Ally’s caution would not be wasted this time. As if on cue, Ally powered up Despair, watching the orb of crimson engulfs her Frame, just in time to hold against the attacking Frame. Meanwhile, Ally’s Geass was already identifying her adversary.

So it would seem that this time, I face the wildly infamous Aaron. His combat skills are said to be phenomenal, and he’s known to be particularly violent in battle. A risk it may be, but it might be worth exploiting. I have never seen him in actual combat until now, so I guess I’ll have to choose my moves wisely. After all, there will be his Geass to worry about. I seem to recall it being some form of future sight. This match won’t be easy. Perhaps the best way is to overwhelm him with numerous things that I’ll do.

Pulling out her Frame’s dual blades, Acedia, she continued to keep up her barrier as she powered up the blades with lasers. At this point, the barrier had only just knocked Aaron back for about a split second or less, powering up Acedia took about another second. Powering up an alternative generator, Ally had the barrier become a thinner coating on the robot, and started generating a whirlwind in an attempt to suck Aaron’s frame towards her, as she prepared to unleash her series of swordplay.

It wasn’t her strongest skill, but at least it should be able to confuse Aaron.

Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N

Aaron Flew back from the slashes taking some minor damage to the claw's,he lifts his hand's into the air as 2 Blood Red Energy Disk's appear,He throw's them both at Ally's suit attempting to shatter her shield after he throws the disks he charges in with the Fusion Claw's ready to grab her when her guard's down

Aaron:My Future Sight is pretty useless since her's studied mine i only have a few second's of early sight need to reserve it for dodging...

((OOC:Conflict Started now how shall you respond Ally 8D))

Ally
Sinner IV

Her strategy worked, but only to a small extent, however. Clearly, this wouldn't be the decisive move. Then again, it was only the start of the battle. Bearing this in mind, Ally proceeded to power up her barrier.

Unfortunately, it wasn't fast enough to hold against the two red energy disks that was tossed at her. The barrier shattered at the area of impact, as her frame fell back on the road. The Frame didn't even sustain as much damage as Ally did, knocking around in her pilot cockpit.

And then, Aaron decides to follow up with his claws reaching to grab her. Now by an amazing stroke of luck, the barrier that Ally was powering concluded it's formation, becoming a reinforced layer over her frame. Even though Aaron managed to grab her with his claws, it didn't do any physical damage.

Seizing this opportunity for petty revenge, Ally powers up the barrier to it's highest output which saw the barrier taking the shape of an orb. It was a clever use of the barrier, since it was virtually impenetrable without a focused attack.

Unless Aaron moves himself out, he was definitely going to fly off with his Frame...

... And on the other hand, Ally's going to lose some marks for causing damage to the buildings around.

Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N

Aaron Looked surprised that her reaction time rivaled his own,as he grabbed her,her knightmare was engulfed in light then into orb pushing me back,he tried to force through it but failed as the orb shot him into the air the orb then explodes causing damage to Ragnarok's right hand

Aaron:Guess it's time to take it seriously..

Aaron closed his eye's and breathed slowly,he then open's his eye's fast activating his Geass,He then burst's back down throwing a energy disk at her Frame again,he then procede's to fly above into the sunlight and then charge's down onto her

Aaron:Can you dodge this..

Cecilia Remata
Swift

As Cecilia looked around, she heard an explosion to her right side. Turning to the right, and activating the unit's thermal imagery scanner, she located two Knigtmare Frames currently in combat. Because they were behind buildings, which was frowned upon for shooting at them, Cecilia would have to move in close, for a Sniper, it was a dangerous precedent, as it would put her in the open against the two should they discover her. But she had no choice.

Activating Swift's boosters, Cecilia had her Knightmare frame hop from building to building, getting a good sniping position. She took position atop a building roughly less than 8 km from the fight. Aiming her sniper rifle, Cecilia would have to be lucky to get a good shot in before they notice. She just need one of them to make a delay, at least a second, long enough to get two shots in.

Ally
Sinner IV

"I don't need to."

She didn't know the basis for his attempt at tossing the energy disk yet again, but she certainly knew that at maximum output, her barrier wasn't going to go down by just that week assault. Watching the disk rebound from the barrier, she knew she was right... But where was Aaron?

Looking up, she had the answer. It turned out that she had taken him too lightly for the moment. It turned out there was really a need to dodge after all!

Quickly lowering the barrier output to refrain from wasting energy supporting a barrier that is likely to be destroyed by this incoming attack, Ally quickly shifted the power to the Frame's legs, jumping backwards. To propel herself further, she raised Acedia, her dual blades, at Aaron, and blasting a beam of laser.

Landing now, on the streets, she didn't wait to see how things had fared, ducking behind a building as she began to power up her barrier.

This battle was going to be long-drawn. More so when considering her power generators needed some time to restore the lost energy.

Aaron
Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N

Aaron saw the attack coming 2 sec's before she landed it and increased the power to his claw using the last Pulse of his right Surge claw's energy to evade the laser but due to her backstepping he was forced to land on the ground to give chase,he then Land's and slowly proceed's after her he stops in front of the building she moved behind

Aaron: Ok I'm taking too much damage from this time for some distance combat!

He puts each arm to the side and holds the out his claw's then thrust out with wire's attached the claw's go around the building to sneak attack Her knightmare, praying that the left one grabs a part of her suit

[OOC: I hope I didn't misunderstand your post]

No doubt a clever move on Aaron's part, the claw hit home from behind, snaring the Frame's shoulders. Sinner IV's main power generators were still unable to compensate for the energy consumption enough for a powerful enough barrier, so Ally could only watch as her Frame staggered from the impact.

As soon as she regained composure, she ripped off the claw.

"Ah, never mind the marks this time."

Suddenly keen to end this battle, Ally made a move usually reserved for more desperate situations. Activating all the power generators in her Frame, she quickly activated her barrier as soon as the energy levels returned to normal - and above normal almost as soon as it did.

From there, it was a flurry of movement in the cockpit as Ally was making the calculations, transferring a proportional amount of energy to the right places. It was a complex series of actions, but was also one that Ally was well-trained in. Combined with the powers of her Geass, she didn't need to stay long on one function to comprehend it.

Such was the true powers of her Geass; it was more than just a cognitive explanation for everything she sees. It helped remove one aspect of cognition - the recall.

"Have at thee!"

Laughing at what she said - largely because she said it for the sound of it - she immediately rushed around the building with renewed vigor, keen to re-engage the Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N in battle with her dual blades, Acedia.

Cecilia
Swift

Seeing Aaron's Knightmare, the Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N as the greater threat between the two, she aimed her Rifle downrange at him before he got out of range. Swift pulled the trigger and two large-caliber rounds shot out of the barrel. She had to stay to see if the shot landed, and hoped that neither he, nor Ally's Frame would be able to capitalize on them. Since they were more into close-quarters combat, her Stealth would be all but useless.

From this point forward, it all comes down to luck...

Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N

Aaron Retracted his left claw but the right one's cable got cut by a stray bullet,He back's away and sense's someone interfearing with the 1 on 1 with Ally's suit,Since he figured it was someone good at long range he blew up the ground with one of the Pulse Blasts and jumps down into the Eletrical Tunnel's,this way the battle could continue without interruption's

Aaron: Let's continue down here..!

He back's into the very large tunnel and prepare's a final attack, after this his weapons would be uselessHopefully this attack will work,Since we are using a special type of energy weapon's shouldn't kill her...

She kept her face emotionless but she broke her pen in her hand.

Ally
Sinner IV

And suddenly, Aaron decides to change the field of the battle? That 'hole' was quite the subject in the treatises on war. More often than not, Frame pilots particularly enjoyed delivering their most powerful moves underground since it usually destroys less of the surrounding... Usually anyway.

Sighing at the work of her Geass, Ally continued to power up her barrier, not bothering to slow down as she jumped into the hole that Aaron made with his frame.

I guess when it comes back down to attrition, I'm not one to lose. No doubt, these power generators are going to be enough for more time unless I pull off another attack like earlier... Maybe I'll take things slow and see what he does.

Looking around the tunnel, she prepared for an incoming attack.

Aaron
Ragnarok S.E.I.T.E.N

Aaron Convert's all the power he has left into his left claw and begin's charging the attack,as the Knightmare Charges it's attack he Deploy's the slash harken's above him to keep his suit from being blown back,a few minute's pass and the left arm glows red,he then unleases a huge blast of energy from the left arm like a Hadron Cannon shooting straight at Ally's knightmare

Aaron:If this fail's i'll be out of power and lose this fight.. but the blast radius is pretty big so she may not be able to block it..
