[RP] Fantasia

[OOC: Sorry for the delay. Here goes. I didn't explicitly state the sidequests this time. Just read through the post and feel free to use any part of my post as you wish. If it's vague, explain it in your words. The deadline's pretty much ditched by now but we could still take things easy though.]

Fantasia: Streets

With that, the members of Genesis escaped the crimson peaks of Red Mountain. As each member reappeared, the casualties in Fantasia rise even further. The battle between Genesis and Final had erupted into a full-scale battle. Capitalizing on the situation, several unknown factions of criminal knaves as well as warriors looking to strike gold attempted all sorts of atrocities. Thanks to several skilled citizens of Fantasia, these atrocities were promptly dealt with. Unfortunately, this problem persists as criminal run rampant and unhindered.
Meanwhile, a blacksmith hammers on at the blade on his anvil. Beads of sweat trickle down his aged face as he focused intensely on the red-hot blade. The sounds of battle outside were starting to get louder. No doubt he had little time to hide. He had to finish this sword. He struck the hammer again, recalling how much he had to barter to obtain the Red Dragonglass to craft into a blade. The precious gem cost him a fortune, but considering his age, he had little to do with the money. What he would want is the recognition. Hence this blade, his magnum opus. Hammering on, he paid the noise outside no heed.

Lisette whispered a magic-invoking curse under her breath as the members of her mercenary group gathered for a push into the Mansion of Dreams. Despite their strong presence in Fantasia, Final had not done a good job of bringing the people to their side. Granted, some were willing enough to lend them their swords, but most were not as simple-minded. It'll take more than just quantity and quality. Gaining their trust takes time and respect, both of which were never given in sufficient amount. Still, Lisette could not deny this stroke of luck. After all, she had to admit that Final did provide a high quality of amenities despite their criminal background. In fact, she was almost impressed with their ability to do so, except that they were ultimately a criminal organization.

"Push forward!"

Her cry was echoed by several members as the mass of warriors attempted to make a concerted effort to push back the enemy line. Staring up at the Mansion, Lisette couldn't help but wonder what Enigma made of this. And what manner of being was he.

Bring order from chaos

Clyuue cleaved her way through the ruffians that tried to block her path. Alongside their leader, 5 Houvahs covered from head to toe and armed to the teeth, battered aside any that remained after Clyuue's charge. As predicted, the unsavoury of the city has come out to play, now that the holder of power is being threatened. Looting, assault and murder were happening left right and center. If Genesis is going to take control of the city, these scavangers must be dealt with. Without a second of hesitation, Clyuue drove Gremory into the chest of another rioter that tried to get in her way. Not even stopping to side step the falling man, she just barreled him over and stepped on and over him. Her goal loomed ahead. The Mansion of Dreams towered over the 6 warriors and just as they managed to reach a large group of warriors, Clyuue heard a female voice over the noise of battle.

"Push forward!"

Sisters! In any battlefields, no Cheytans will ever be happy with being rearguard! We shall take to the front.

Grunting in unison, the 6 pushed their way past the lesser grunts. There were a few displeased reactions, but upon seeing the heavily armoured warriors, they swallowed their words. These people were on a league beyond theirs and they had a purpose and a hand in this revolt. Through the mass, Clyuue spotted the leader of Genesis.

Leader! Number 0! I have come to assist. What is the plan? How do you wish for me to strike?

Right now, there was only 5 of them, but when the Cheytan sector becomes fully locked down, Clyuue could call in all free warriors to the assault.

Elvire Orleans
Recomposed

Slowly staggering to her feet using her spear as leverage, Elvire looked out the window to see Fantasia in chaos. The situation as bad as it is, she knew fully well that the war between Genesis and Final is heating up. Stepping up onto the railing, Elvire jumped as far as she could, landing on the roof of a low building, then jumping away before it could collapse under her. She began to run, looking to see where she can go to assist first. Knowing Clyuue, she would be in the thick of the fighting.

As shops were looted and people were getting caught up in the attack, Elvire jumped down on the street to take care of any hostiles threatening the innocents, along the way. But she was essentially close to the front lines, albeit behind the enemy. The Felidian would make her way into a blacksmiths to avoid getting into a battle she could not win, and inside she saw a blacksmith working at a blade of some time. "Shouldn't you be taking your wares and heading out of town where it's safe?" She asked, leaning her spear against the wall.

Fantasia: The Smithy

The Felidan's appearance was a welcome one. The stories of the Felidans' relationship to the royal Fantasian family was still vivid in his mind, even if the rest of Fantasia may have forgotten it. From the stories, it was unlikely that this particular Felidan would be here to ransack his smithy and hinder the progress of his magnum opus. "Good to have you here, I'll be done..." He picked up the red-hot blade and soaked it in the water. The red dragonglass hiss as it touched the water surface, the bright redness subsiding into a softer red.

"There it is, the blade that wards off magic."

Holding up a prepared scabbard, he quickly sheathed the blade. "Felidan, perhaps, you could aid the Genesis cause with this blade?"

The eyes of weary blacksmith was hopeful as he held the sheathed sword up to Elvire.

Fantasia: Streets

"Good to have you here, Clyuue,"
Lisette says, her eyes still fixated on the Mansion of Dreams. The forces of Genesis were making a successful push as gradually, citizens of Fantasia move to assist their cause and the denizens of Final retreat. At the moment, only Dori and Black was missing in this fray. "I'm surprised Dori isn't with you, Clyuue, but anyway, I need you to push forward and open up a path for us to Enigma."

Missing Men

"Good to have you here, Clyuue. I'm surprised Dori isn't with you, Clyuue, but anyway, I need you to push forward and open up a path for us to Enigma."

Aya Ma'am. It shall be done. As for Dori, we were separated during our.... rather unusual way of coming back to Fantasia. However, I am sure both Eliane and Dori will be leading up some other part of the fight elsewhere in the city.

As they were charging straight into the nest of their arch nemesis, Clyuue was taking no risk. Flipping down the visor of her helm, the dazzling warrior let out a shrill warcry to her sisters and, by extension, the other warriors that were taking part in the assault. While Clyuue was really only taking charge of her own warriors, the other fighters followed tightly behind. She had become the de facto leader of the charge into the Mansion of Dreams. A figurehead always bolstered morale and fighting spirit as well as courage. Within a few seconds, the door collapsed under the heavy charge of the Houvahs and the mob poured in. Final's innermost guards had already taken arm and began to fight back. It was clear that they weren't going to even give them an inch without the price of someone's blood. Only, Clyuue was glad to oblige them by spilling theirs as the toll.

Be wary, men! These are Final's finest! Take them by threes if you have to! Just keep our momentum!

Clyuue did not stop one step. Not even when slaying an enemy. There were more troops outside and as the figurehead, she had to keep the ball rolling. Should she stop, the charge will stagnate. As long as she and her sisters broke the Final formation and let the other people mop up, the last resistance of the Mansion shouldn't pose a problem

[OOC: It's been a while. I think I'll have to god-mod Dori a little though. So my bad there, @Solidjuss]

Fantasia: Mansion Entrance
"Charge!"

Within moments of the successful break-in, the mansion was again filled with the sounds of sword clashing. Sensing his chance, Dori clutched his wounded arm as he sprinted into the cover of the curtains opposite of the couch he had been hiding behind. "Gosh, I'm never, ever going to get used to instant teleportation." Hissing the same common prayer that kept him safe during the teleportation, he ripped off some cloth from his tunic and tied a haphazard bandage around his arm. The blood seeped through nevertheless, but it would do for the time.

Meanwhile, the charge, spearheaded by Clyuue, had the Enigma's minions scrambling around in confusion. What had been a strategic formation was now a mess as Clyuue's highly trained Cheytan warriors persisted in their unrelenting assault. Lisette could only smile and wonder how lucky she was to have her for an ally. "Find Enigma, pronto!"

This was it. Everything that she had her Mercenary Group do so far had been leading up to this. The final confrontation with the elusive leader of Final. The outcome of this battle would determine the fate of Fantasia. For Lisette, this would be a closure in a sense. As the remnants of Final continued retreating into the inner halls of the Mansion, Lisette decided to press the attack. Yelling a loud battle cry, she beckoned her forces towards the retreating remnants of Final.

Elvire Orleans
Well Crafted Blade

"Felidan, perhaps, you could aid the Genesis cause with this blade?"

Holding the sheathed sword in her hands. Elvire would give the man a courteous nod. "You have my word. Now go find somewhere safe." She said calmly, before heading out into the mass chaos of Fantasia. The streets were a nightmare, littered with dead bodies from both sides involved.

The Felidian didn't care though, jumping up as high as she could hitting the rooftop of a one story home before jumping high up, at least to get a bearing of the situation. It seems from the sounds of clashing blades and explosive magic it came from the General Headquarters of Final, the mansion. Standing up, she began to tie the sheath of the blade to her side, keeping it steady so she would not have to go through the embarrassment of losing the sheath getting there. Once this was done Elvire would begin walking back a bit, to get a little bit of distance before running full speed to the edge of the roof, then jumping off to land on the next rooftop. This pattern continued, hopping from one building to the next as Elvire hastily ran towards the mansion, the sounds of battle getting louder the closer she got to the battlefield.

It would be as she made that final jump that she would see the leader of Genesis, Lisette commanding the overall situation. It seemed Dori and Clyuue were much closer to the battlefield than she was, but it was no time to digress. "Apologies for tardiness, milady." She said, landing right beside her. "What are your orders?"

OOC: Is anybody still around to try to finish this thing? I would be keen :P I guess we can't be too far from an ending :D

Dori - The Bard out of place
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Without a lute, wearing blood soaked remains of what used to be fine clothes, with a dodgy left arm and a face-long diagonal scar topped by a broken nose in midst of blood, sweat and tears, the renowned bard was more than out of character. Yet he knew that this would be material for legends and dozens of songs, shall the coup be successful.

"Mi-mi-might as well as go with the flow ..." He stuttered in a slight murmur and grabbed a knife from the floor, now coloured in blood. Being located behind some of the "bad guys" who hadn't managed to retreat into the inner rooms and were the last in this particular hall to stand against the unstoppable onslaught, Dori rushed at the back of the biggest guys of the bunch, hoping to have the upper hand of surprise, and stabbed him up the arse as many times as it took to make the man pass out of agony. Without the slightest hesitation and shocking brutally he charged at another from behind, most-likely an orc, pushing the knife deep into flesh, ripping parts of it off the bone, only to find himself on the floor a few seconds later. The giant creature had fallen, dead and bloody heavy, on Dori and rendering him incapable of any movements, mainly due to his current physical state.

" A way to die." Snorted Dori with slight humour and prepared for a good long rest. Unfortunate for his plans was the action of one of his allies though as the beforementioned shoved the huge mass of flesh and bones off him, reaching out to help Dori stand up. Lust took control over Dori again as he stood up, eyes filled with a sort-of-mixture of agony and rage.

" You took a pretty big bite for your size." Said the person to whom Dori might have owned his life. Yet in this chaotic mess of loud clashes, shouts and screams of horror, Dori had no time nor motivation for small-talk and searched for another target. Moments passed and he spotted an enemy close to Lisette. He run like he had been reborn and prepared his knife, only to find he had lost it in the orcs back.

" Crap" Running at full speed towards an enemy with no weapon in his hands, Dori must have seemed an utterly bizarre sight to observe.

The Final Chamber

The more they pushed in, the faster the Final defense collapsed and fell back. While a smaller number of defenders can hold a funnel against a larger number of foes, Clyuue and her Sisters was ahead, rather than at the tip, of the charge. Rather than butting heads, Clyuue pierces deep into their defense and break the line from the inside and leaving the rest to the main force. However, rather than moving forward, the small band slowed down after clearing the latest blockade. If they were to go any further, Clyuue's party would be cut off from the rest and by her estimation, Final's innermost chambers were just beyond. Going in by themselves would be sure fire suicidal. For all she knew, Final's top officers and their most fanatical soldiers were bunkered down.

Sisters... We shall clean up this group in preparation for the arrival of the main Genesis force. We shall push en mass once we regroup with Lady Lisette.

Silently, her Battle Sisters went ahead and methodically took apart the remaining soldiers who have barricaded themselves in small, disjointed strong points. Besides spears for keeping distance, the defenders lacked any ranged weapons. The Houvahs were essentially unchallenged and had the luxury of planning and timing their advance without fear of projectiles. Rather than joining her sisters in their efforts, Clyuue instead surveyed the hallway. It was wide and rather dark, as the roof soared so high that the hanging chandeliers and lanterns couldnt even pierce the darkness above. Ahead stood a large stone double door, most likely shut when she was held up by defenders. It was extremely grand and imposing, which could mean that the room beyond held some importance. From the distance, a distinct battle cry echoed down the stone wall and judging from the volume of the noise, the fighting was catching up to them and the Genesis army was closing in fast.

M'lady. We have rooted out and dealt with the remaining defenders. Shall we attempt to open the doors?

No. Rest up. I have a feeling the next push will require all your skills and training. We will await Lady Lisette to take the over the reigns.

Fantasia: Mansion

As the bulk of her mercenary group made its way into the mansion, she was joined by Elvire. "Apologies for tardiness, milady. What are your orders?" Went the Felidian, ever courteous in conversation. Lisette paused for a moment to consider the situation. And the first thing she observe was a bare-handed Dori rushing at her with eyes widened as if in fear for some reason. Truly an amusing sight; a thoughtful one, nonetheless, as Lisette was immediately made aware of the threat coming towards her. With a flick of her hand, she opened up a portal that her would-be attacker took an unfortunate step into.

"Thank you, good Dori, for your concern,"
Lisette said, thanking Dori as he came close. "Elvire. Our forces have already pushed their way into the Mansion. We shall join these forces and take the fight to Enigma."

Without waiting for Elvire's reply, Lisette walked into the mansion, joining Clyuue who, much to her pleasure, had decided to wait for Lisette before moving in deeper. It may not be the wisest of move to allow the enemy respite, but Lisette appreciated the consideration for her authority nonetheless. "Well done, Clyuue. We now have Elvire and Dori here with us. All that's left is downfall of Enigma and Final! Let us bring the fight to Enigma himself!"

Fantasia: Mansion, Entrance to Inner Sanctum

Meanwhile, a deep rumbling voice growls, scaring the remaining members of Final who had gathered outside the Inner Sanctum. To be trapped right between their enigmatic and, at this point, rather terrifying leader, and the powerful forces of Genesis looking to kill them, it was indeed a horrible predicament to be caught in. Still, it was an inevitable one as they readied themselves for the final assault. In the time that they got from the brief respite, they had managed to barricaded themselves firmly, and adopted formations that suited combat in an enclosed space. There was no doubt that the battle would be a difficult one, but one thing was certain for them: many shall die before they got to face the leader.

Vadok - A fine opportunity
--------------------------------------------------------------

Four shades in the shadows, flickering like flames whenever a chance presented. Blood burst out with life, soon to become dull. Bodies piled up, one after another. Yet no-one, no-one had the skill to notice what had happened. Should one blame the commander of Genesis for not organising a proper rear-guard or should one pay respect to the genius of Lord Vadok is for everyone to think as they seem fit. But that does not change the fact that from the very moment the main force charged into the mansion, the sneaky kind started to work against the odds of Genesis. One by one, in extreme caution, the finest of drow assassins did what they are best at, assassination. By the time Finals demise seemed to be a certainty, the elves had been joined by their orcish comrades. Every street, every road and every alley leading to and from the mansion had at some point been blockaded by Vadoks force. Or more what remained of it. After all, the mighty craven had been fighting, for the last few days, against the merchant guilds of the city. The victory had been undeniable, but the price he had paid was high. Nearly half of his cutthroats had had their throats slit. As a result, there were no more men on Vadoks side than there were on hire by Genesis. Nevertheless, having to defend an assault from two sides might prove to become the fall of Genesis.

Yet something was amiss, for Final at least. It seemed that the orcs had secured posts all around the mansion, but were not preparing to launch an assault.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Dori - Bugger that!
------------------------------------------------------------------

As the little lad charged at the bigger folk, the latter disappeared into thin air. Yet the lack of a target didn't seem to affect his resolve. He run into a wall so hard that he dropped down, nearly losing conciousness. Seconds later, after regaining his senses, Dori stood up and followed the leader. As he did, the pain became apparent. So rough it was that he was close to fainting every second step.

" Me' Lord, I cannot continue this battle. It would be a folly of me to throw away my life so carelessly." As he turned his back in shame, he sung dwarven words that sparked into little clouds of dust and flew at most of the allies nearby, enchanting them with higher magical resistance.

In pain he stuttered forward, out of the building, onto the stairway. He sat down in manner that reminded more of collapsing. A big gasp for fresh air brought some relief, until he saw what was prone to happen. A giant of an orc accompanied by another, headed straight towards him and trying to cut down every single man on their way.

" We came to negotiate for peace on behalf of Lord Vadok." A third figure stood next to the two brutish orcs, a young girl it was.

OOC: I might have god-modded and powerplayed here. Not certain, been a while since I last RP'd :D So if I did something that you did not like, let me know and I can change it a little.
