Dori - The Battle of Blood, Part I
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dori's good instincts had saved him from being spotted by the scarlet duo as by the time they turned their looks at the party, his presence was almost completely masked. While 100% of invisibility without slightest hint of the body being left there was out of his reach, he could shade himself so well that the only real clue of someone there would have been the slightly shivering air as he moved. As soon as he heard MD's wish, he had spurt out towards the cottage, passing the bloody duo by a matter of meters. As he thought he was at a safe distance, he plucked the strings of his magical lute. The magic travelled through air at first, and then hit the ground a step ahead of both enemies. Within an instant, a patch of two square meters turned into mud.
" This might serve." Thought the dwarf and turned his look back to the cottage. The flames had risen high and fierce. The red soil of the now infamous Red Mountain exaggerated the vista, making even the ground itself look aflame. The closer he moved, the more red got the soil. By the time he felt the heat of the blaze, he knew it was no longer just the ground. It was blood that covered a good portion of the surroundings of the building.
" ... This can't be any good." His fingers were picking his lute with no sound, boosting his vision, hearing and ability to smell.
