[RP] Gundam Λ

Stephen took note of Aaron's advances, and him entering the ship, Stephen shook his head "damnit, why did i zone out!" he announced in anger, he then opened the Freedom's boosters to full and launched towards the research vessel, pulling it's beam sabre from storage area, igniting the beam as he went, he decapitated another two suits, and then dismembered them with another movement, the wings of the Freedom spread and all the boosters engaged from the wings, flying towards the ship Stephen entered the hangar bay and set the Freedom's locks so if anybody asides him tried to enter the Freedomm would detonate and take the ship with it in a massive Explosion.

Stephen Disembarked from the Freedom and headed into the corridors with nothing but his pistol and a combat knife, he pushed the button on his personal comm device and began to speak "Aaron, i have arrived in the ship, where are you?" he muttered quietly as he hid from view behind some boxes, knife and pistol in hand, as an armed guard strode past him pointing his gun down the corridor, Stephen remembered Aaron's words from before and thought to himself "If i don't kill them, they will kill me" he thought to himself, he sprang out from behind the box and stabbed the guard in the neck, and grabbed the Assault rifle from the corpse.

"Sohm, come in, i need your location asap, i am inside moving towards the research centre, i shall take care of the researchers, you set the charges, or we can meet in the lab to check out what they are working on" Stephen spoke as he moved on carefully, barrel up, moving as though he was a military soldier.

“Understood… Returning now.”

Chris’s nod was unseen, but the significance was of the utmost importance to him. He’d been successful. He knew he’d finally be doing it- living his dream! His heart just sprinted in excitement- and his nose flowed in crimson pain. Yet, ignorance was in its element in Chris’s mind. He’d just been commented on by a damn RAVEN! It was just…unbelievable.

“Pops… thank you…”

Pops? Was this some sort of affectionate nickname? Only Christopher could confirm its meaning- or whom the tag was linked to. Nevertheless, this did nothing to cool Chris’s mind. He’d succeeded in the exam… but could he keep up with the assessments? Christopher was already terrified by it. It was just a killer of his success-high! Mental debates aside, Christopher was already after getting Deathscythe into gear.

Christopher guided DS towards the exit, the gentle footwork of the Gundam was the product of his experience- he’d be hitting the gym at the next chance he got. Chris’s mantra was that “The body’s health stems from the centre”: He was the centre of DeathScythe.

Christopher exited the examination area and headed towards the rendezvous site. The Shuttle that dropped his mecha here first left him here at this spot- only makes sense to head back there. There’d be quite a lot to think about on the shuttle to HQ… Maybe he might even meet some other newbies there? He doubted it though. He’d heard that the Ravens were quite difficult to join: Anybody else who did get in would probably already be on their first mission by the time he got back. Christopher knew it- you needed a certain type of ambition to make it as a Raven.

But did he have it? Did Christopher possess the drive needed to be a mercenary? Did he have the heart to murder other human beings for profit? Only time could tell. Christopher’s mother used to call him “an innocent boy, with a hint of the wild in his soul”…Only time could tell of the truth in the phrase.

Aaron Sohm

Aaron was making his way towards the research center through the air vents when Stephens voice comes through the com, it made him jump just from surprise that he got here so quickly, a loud thud sounded and two guards came to investigate.

"What was that!? Came from the Vents! the guard spoke aloud before walking towards the duct

"Dammit... Stephen your gonna get me killed one of these days!" He grumbled to himself before readying his Silenced Pistol.

The guard removes the grate and looks inside only to get kicked in the face forcing him out, Aaron then quickly moves into the corridor shooting the alarmed guard on his right in the face 2 times killing him, the other stunned guard hit his alert button which started a alarm within the ship.

"Damn... Really shouldn't have done that." He says before shooting the soldiers head.

"May as well just go ahead and use these idiots own weapons against them now..." He said to himself as he grabbed the guards Assault Rifle and removing the clip from the other guards.

Stephen said he was going to the research room.

Aaron opened his comm and responded "Sigh.. yeah yeah, I'm near the research center.. I'll head over to the Power grid, kill them all and get outside" He sighed once more before signing off his com device.

Raven Test

"Let him live, The pilot is of no threat to us."

"Not bad. Your combined skills are impressive. Congratulations, from this moment forward, you two are Ravens."

Within the privacy of her cockpit, Igelsias let out a smile of relief. She wasn't sure if she could have put a bullet into the defenseless suit and whether that would have made the examiner fail her for it. An enemy shooting at her would have been no issue at all, but this would have been criminal. Since that was not the case and that she has now been accepted Igleisas didnt bother devoting any more time to it.

Well, congrats Mr Hohenlohe. It seems we are now co workers from now on.

"We will be sending the both of you the coordinates to Nerves Concord HQ, you will receive further instructions upon your arrival."

With the examiner gone, the tension in the air disappeared and Iglesias slumped onto her chair, peeling back her helmet and let it roll onto the floor.

"Looks like we've passed, huh?"

Leon opened up a channel to her suit.

Indeed, though i can imagine that we are most likely the coffee runners at this point. We will probably have hawks looking over our shoulders at every turn, but hey, we got a foot inside the door. But in any case, how do we get about to actually get to the HQ? Space transport?

Iglesias made a few steps from their last skirmish site, looking for the direction they should start for to get out of here. After all, she didnt want to be around in case their targets had friends and came looking.

Indeed, though i can imagine that we are most likely the coffee runners at this point. We will probably have hawks looking over our shoulders at every turn, but hey, we got a foot inside the door. But in any case, how do we get about to actually get to the HQ? Space transport?

"I suppose so."
He said, looking at the Gundam's cameras on the side, and seeing a transport with the Nerves Concord Emblem emblazoned on the side. He would relay the feed to Inglesia's unit. "From what it looks like, it's in the Zio Satelliete Hangar #4. Come on, let's RTB." Leon's unit began moving forward, heading down the freeway towards the hangar. The trip would not take much time for the two to reach the hanger, and upon arrival would see their units begin moving into the shuttle. "I wonder what this world has in store for me." Leon thought to himself as he began to unbulckle himself from his harness, preparing to open his unit and climb out.

----
Nerves Concord Transport Unit

The Transport was flying the skies over the Barreld Desert, where the Deathscythe was believed to have landed from the training mission. "This is Transport NC-2700, calling Gundam Unit XXXG-01D, do you read?" The pilot spoke, "We will be landing close to your position for Gundam retrieval." The pilot found the unit in the desert, but with the weather conditions, it's would be best to pick him up now before a sandstorm would be kicked up.

Christopher Walker:

“Roger…S-Standing by”…

In came the stutter, the apparent tic of Christopher’s. He’d always been shy in his younger days, his communication had always begged for some polish. Nevertheless, the sentence conveyed the appropriate message. Christopher’s body then followed his mouth with an action- his fingers tapped at that central keyboard of Deathscythe. He’d decided to disengage to weapon systems for the time being. Rather than a misfire, Christopher could easily navigate Deathscythe onto the shuttle without fear.

Christopher’s left bicep muscle spasm. His body hadn’t completely healed from the prior skirmish yet. While he felt quite the weakling for such a reaction, it wasn’t all that unlikely. It had been one of his first live combat exercises- and certainly his first on Mars. Christopher had been used to a different feeling and weight of Gravity- he’d just put too much into each move.

Obviously, the shuttle got here much, much sooner than Christopher expected. Perhaps it had something to do with fear of enemy attack? To have a singular Mobile Suit stationed outside was suspicious- and easy pickings. The sensors of DeathScythe soon picked up the trans-shuttle. In something of a welcoming, Christopher waved the ship down to him.

It was then that he noticed the weather. The slow-but steady- current had been building for the last few minutes. Obviously, these little eddies were nothing to the Deathscythe’s frame… But Christopher had that feeling: let’s get outta’ here while we still can. Christopher frowned very slightly. The desert wasn’t his element in the slightest.

“Transport NC-2700, X…”

He’d forgotten the serial number to his own GUNDAM! While no person could probably see, Christopher’s face was lit up like a tomato. His head tossed and turned, as Christopher scanned the cockpit. Perhaps he could find the code on the dashboard? But, he then got another spasm in his left arm again- luckily enough, that knocked the code back into his head. This all happened in a matter of a minute or two.

“…XXXG-01D - c-codename DeathScythe- weapons' system disengaged. R-ready for extraction. “

(OOC: Okay, officially sick of waiting)

IC:
The transport located the Deathscythe in the middle of the desert and promptly began to land close to the unit, and allow the pilot to enter. Once he entered, the transport began to lift off and fly off to Nerves Concord HQ. The second transport, once Inglesias entered would lift off and exit the Zio Satellite City, heading downward into the Martian atmosphere.

Theme-Shape Memory Alloys (Remix)

The two transports transporting the three Gundams would meet within five minutes of each other, arriving in an underground bunker about 25 miles from Etal City in Mars. The pilot of Leon's transport spoke, saying, "Welcome to Home Base." For Leon, it's like something out of a history book, the facilities look sleek and shiny, like how it was in the books about Raven's Nest and what it stood for back in the day. The transports landed at almost the same time however, and their units were being carted off to their respective garages. Leon was the first to leave the transport, where an aged man in an officer's uniform appeared. "Ah, you must be one of the new recruits, as soon as everyone is here, we will give you a tour of the facilities and show you to your quarters."

Aaron Sohm

"Alright here we go.." Aaron ran inside the Power grid and found a spot to plant the explosives, he kneels down and starts to set the bomb. "Ok, just need to connect this to this... and Set.."[/center] He smirked as he could finally be done with this hellhole of a ship.

As he finished planting the large amount of explosives he heard a couple more soldiers enter the room. "THERE HE IS!" "Dammit, They're coming already..." he spoke with a annoyed tone.

Aaron got up and started running towards Qants location, as he runs down the halls he decides to set off the explosives, good or bad the mission needs to be completed regardless of casulties. The bomb in the Power Grid explodes, the explosion sets off a chain reaction throughout the ship. "Stephen if you hear this run now, get out of the ship before its too late..!" Regardless of if he escaped or not it was not priority to secure his safety only to finish the mission and report back to base.

Aaron ran down the ships halls barely keeping ahead of the explosions, any enemies crazy enough to try and shoot him get swept up by the fire, he finally saw the hole Qant made for entry and ran as fast as possible, the explosion closing in even faster, Aaron jumped and dove behind a small sand hill to shield himself from the explosion, as the fire escaped and the power hit the sand, it buried Aaron underneath the very thing he used to shield himself from the blast.

A Few moments later his hand bursts through the sand and he hurries to get himself into Qant, after getting inside and closing the cockpit door Qant launches backwards as fast as possible to escape from the ship before it completely explodes, Qant barely reached a safe distance before the ship completely blew up from the chain reaction. "Damn... That was too close... I really need to be more careful.." he sighed and started heading back to base to debrief.

Leon Hohenlohe & Inglesias Vespertania

The trip to the hangar wasn't long and pretty much as soon as they arrived, the workers began prepping both units for travel. With all the workers clambering about, Inglesias parked her suit properly and quickly jumped out of her cockpit and down the zip line, rucksack in tow. They looked so busy that she didnt want to be an nuisance and obstruct their work. Even with the helmet off, the suit felt rather uncomfortable for travel in.

Ding ding ding.... Transports will be departing shortly. Please board the ship and await lift off.

It was good. That meant there will be no delays and she could probably get to the base ASAP and ditch her gear and maybe get a shower in. With a skip to her step, Iglesias glide onto the stair and into the ship. She'd probably change during the flight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The trip flew by, particularly when one decides to sleep through it. Now in more casual clothes, Iglesias felt more free and airy.
"Welcome to Home Base."
Like a cat, the girl stretched out the kinks in her joints and shook herself awake. Her eyes sparkled as the facility flew passed her window. Sleek designs and all modern, just as what she would expect from such a high class operation. Within minutes, the transport skidded to a halt inside a hangar along with another to their side and Leon disembarked. Quickly following behind, both pilots were halted by a man in military uniform.
"Ah, you must be one of the new recruits, as soon as everyone is here, we will give you a tour of the facilities and show you to your quarters."
Oh... ah... Yes sir.
Herself and Leon were the only one in that transport, so any other new recruits must be on the other. Iglesias peered curiously towards the ship, wondering what other person also passed the initiation
Christopher Walker
The ride back to Headquarters had certainly left Christopher in a slightly worse mood than he had been. Not only did he feel nauseous from the G-forces of the training mission, the transport trip back was definitely not smooth. It’d be enough to make a person question the point of colonising Mars- Sandstorms and temperatures a prime example of the cons. Nevertheless, Christopher was glad when he was finally able to depart.
His process of exit was a simple one: He piloted the Deathscythe into an allocated position, unbuckled and exited via the common winch cable method. He hadn’t changed from his pilot suit and instead just opened the neckline zipper. Perhaps he looked cool, but most likely Christopher unintentionally looked like a poser. Nevertheless, his facial features were frozen to a specific formation- one which looked quite like an unfriendly face. Mercenaries were like wild dogs- Christopher once told himself- give an opening, and you’ll be ripped apart. And boy, did he have openings in his confidence the size of doors.
With the slightest of notable nods of thanks to the pilots of his transport, Christopher hurried over to what seemed to be the meet-up for passers of the entrance exam- defined by Christopher having heard :
"Ah, you must be one of the new recruits…”
From a senior officer to another male, who-due to his proximity to it- must have gotten off from the opposite transport shuttle. Christopher also noticed the other passer- a female- closely behind. Christopher increased his stroll to a trot- his stoney demeanour intact- and quickly reached the group without a hitch.
“Apologies for my tardiness.”
Christopher-although quite the task for him- made eye contact with his senior while apologising , then took his place by the other two recruits. Shyness and a general consensus of discipline held his tongue from any greetings.
Aaron Sohm and Gundam Qant
After the long trip from the mission, While Qants auto pilot was engaged, he was able to finish his debrief just as Qant was slowing down to enter the base. "I'm home" He spoke to himself Qant landed and began to walk back into the hangar, thankfully not much changed during his absence.
"Shame Stephen didn't make it, he was a good pilot... Aaron Sighed before opening the cockpit and riding the zipline down to the ground. As he looked up he noticed Qant was fairly damaged, parts of his armor had been damaged from the explosion and the battles. "Ugh I took way too much of a beating on that one..." He grumbled while scratching his head looking over Qants damage.
"Oh well, I guess I'll start getting to work on it" He walked over to his tool box and started gathering materials to fix Qants damage.
Leon Hohenlohe
With all the new Ravens standing side by side, the officer spoke. "Good, Let me be the first to say, Welcome to Mars. You may refer to me as R." The title of R had a lot of history. The original founder of the Raven's Nest was named R, and the leader of the Nest had always been referred to as R. "Follow me, as I will take you to your quarters." He said, and Leon would start to follow R as he explained the role of Nerves Concord to the group. "Here you will perform various missions as a Raven registered with Nerves Concord. We look forward to working with you. Under the Terraforming Project, the Martian environment is beginning to approximate that of the Earth's, and as Martian society matures, conflicts over control are slowly becoming more fierce. The planet is therefore in a constant state of turmoil. For a Raven, it is an ideal setting. The amount of work available to you is limited only by your abilities."
R led the group to a high-speed tram system, that would allow them to see many of the facilities. Including a launch bay for Raven Operations, there were several hangars, probably numbering in the hundreds, most likely individualized for each Raven. A tall, spherical building overlooking the hangars was also seen as clear as day, most likely the Battle Arena.
"Another thing, as it was on Earth years ago, Arena's for Ravens exist on Mars, and all Ravens must be registered in the Arena. We have already handled your Arena registration and it has been already completed."
The tram stopped in a large room, akin to that of a hotel lobby. "You will receive your room assignments on the front counter. Your belongings have already been transferred to your rooms." R said with a stern face. "One more thing I must go over. Your current rankings reflect your status as a new Raven. Advancement through the ranks rests solely on each of you. We will contact you periodically, so be sure to check your mail. Good luck." As soon as the pilots were off, the door closed in front of R and the tram left.
Inglesias Vespertania
It turned out that the officer was the renowned R, the current leader of the mercenaries that Iglesias just joined. It was quite a welcome for such amateurs. Amongst their circle, the name R was legendary. Still, it was no time to be stuck in awe. Their new leader was talking and that meant she should listen. After all, if she gets a bad first impression, that was it. There was no one else above to impress to balance it out.
"Good, Let me be the first to say, Welcome to Mars. You may refer to me as R. Follow me, as I will take you to your quarters.
Silently, Iglesias followed. She found it odd that the head of such an organisation had taken it upon himself to meet three newbies. She would have thought that someone in the mid rank range would be assigned the task. Surely he doesn't do this with every new recruit? It was also entirely possible that since the entrance rate is quite low, he could afford to take it upon himself.
Here you will perform various missions as a Raven registered with Nerves Concord. We look forward to working with you. Under the Terraforming Project, the Martian environment is beginning to approximate that of the Earth's, and as Martian society matures, conflicts over control are slowly becoming more fierce. The planet is therefore in a constant state of turmoil. For a Raven, it is an ideal setting. The amount of work available to you is limited only by your abilities."
His speech was run of the mill, explaining basic information and setting, nothing she didn't know. What really interested her was the rail tram that they board. It was going to take them into the heart of Nerves Corporation and show her just how impressive they really were and whether they lived up to her grandfather's boasting. Iglesias can't say that he was wrong. Even though it was quite a while since grandfather retired, the organisation itself seemed to be beating strong.
"Another thing, as it was on Earth years ago, Arena's for Ravens exist on Mars, and all Ravens must be registered in the Arena. We have already handled your Arena registration and it has been already completed. You will receive your room assignments on the front counter. Your belongings have already been transferred to your rooms."
A private room was actually something she expected. It was a prestigious company and they were the pilots of extremely expensive machines. Iglesias did not expect to have the same accommodation as foot soldiers.
"One more thing I must go over. Your current rankings reflect your status as a new Raven. Advancement through the ranks rests solely on each of you. We will contact you periodically, so be sure to check your mail. Good luck."
With that, R left with the tram. Iglesias stared around blankly for a few seconds before breaking the silence with a clap.
Well. Here we are. In the heart of it all.... Well... im bushed. I'm going to grab my room key and probably hit the sack. See you around!
As she jogged ahead, Iglesias remembered something quickly and turned around without stopping.
Oh! And hello to you Mr. New Guy. Names Igelsias. Hope to be in your care! See ya Leon!
It was a bit rude and Iglesias knew it, but she as about to drop dead and she still had to vidcall her family. She wasn't confident she could hold her concentration long enough for lengthy introductions and chatter. Gritting her teeth and mentally stopping herself from swaying on her feet, Iglesias went through the procedures as fast as she possibly can at the front desk. Key in hand, the girl rushed as fast as she could without making it look undignified and upon opening the door, she was greeted with her luggage and the sight of a large, comfortable bed. Without a second of hesitation, flopped onto it. Almost instantly, she almost fell asleep before she pulled herself awake.
Ugh... i really should call....nah. Ill just msg them that ill call them when im awake.
Now armed with an excuse, Iglesias shot off her msg and promptly fell asleep.
Christopher followed R in silence, his shyness was not particularly emphasised by this fact. They were following a commanding officer after all, silence was key. Nevertheless, Christopher didn’t even glance at his fellow new recruits- or more so, he couldn’t. These other two were obviously alpha-humans. The toughest of the tough. Christopher was already thinking about their exam: He could guess that they both passed within minutes.
Perhaps he over-thought it, but the fear was there. He paced alongside the others, the slight stare at his feet probably emitted some sort of uneasy aura- one of disinterest and warning. It was Christopher’s sort of talent to appear much scarier than he actually was. While it wasn’t like he didn’t have bite-Chris had no fear of taking a life- he certainly acted much tougher than in actuality. Christopher sighed very slightly and softly, as commander R launched into his description:
"Here you will perform various missions as a Raven registered with Nerves Concord. We look forward to working with you. Under the Terraforming Project, the Martian environment is beginning to approximate that of the Earth's, and as Martian society matures, conflicts over control are slowly becoming more fierce. The planet is therefore in a constant state of turmoil. For a Raven, it is an ideal setting. The amount of work available to you is limited only by your abilities."
Limited by your abilities? Christopher is worried about that. Did he have the skills for this job? Could he hack it? Christopher began to perspire now, his heart raced slightly… Continuous assessment wasn’t his strong suit.
It was at that moment when he stumbled very slightly, his foot caught on a small crack in the floor. While not particularly notable, this incident was obviously embarrassing for Christopher- as displayed by the large blush he successfully defeated the majority off. Though by now R had already continued on ahead, and the rest of the group had hit the trams. Christopher hastened his walk to catch the tram, as R continued to speak:
“…Arena's for Ravens exist on Mars, and all Ravens must be registered in the Arena. We have already handled your Arena registration and it has been already completed."
Oh no… Gladiatorial battles as well? Perhaps it wouldn’t be as bad as Christopher believed… But there was next to no point trying to explain that to him. He spent the –rather short- tram journey sweating about it…So much- in fact- that Christopher had now resigned his fate to being crushed in his metallic death trap during an encounter in that arena.
When they’d finally reached the lobby of the quarters- and R had finished- Christopher took that as his cue to leave. He took the chance to look at his fellow newbies and seemed to be rewarded with a greeting- albeit rushed and perhaps obligated.
Oh! And hello to you Mr. New Guy. Names Igelsias. Hope to be in your care!
“Um…Hey...”
Was all he could manage, his cold demeanour all but crippled. In an effort to regain it, Christopher speeded off ahead, his walk somewhat awkwardly taken. He turned to give the final recruit something of a welcoming salute/wave (obviously in an effort to look cool), rushed to the main desk, asked for his key and finally entered his room.
“Home sweet…Home...”
And with that, Christopher collapsed onto his bed, his body exhausted by the exam.
Leon Hohenlohe
Oh! And hello to you Mr. New Guy. Names Igelsias. Hope to be in your care!
“Um…Hey...”
Leon blinked as he saw his fellow colleagues leave, leaving him to pick up his own key. "Ah well, I suppose I should get some rest anyway." Leon said, before heading his own way up to his room. His room, like all the others was a cross between a suite and an apartment room, complete with balcony, a kitchen, a bedroom and a living room of sorts. But Leon didn't care for such extravagances. Instead he just slumped down onto his bed and went to sleep, just exhausted from the exam and all the business before and after this.
A ringing sound woke him up, and led him to look at the clock, 0515. "Ugh..." Leon groaned as he got up, following the sound of the ringing, leading him to his computer. As the screen lit up, he saw on the center of the screen a pop-up message, telling him of an over the computer call from someone named, "Nell Aulter." Moving his cursor to call and clicking it, she saw his screen go black. A few seconds later a woman appeared on the screen. She was young, albeit a little older than Leon was.
"Hello, Leon, I am Nell Aultner, a liaison manager for Concord Corporation."
"A pleasure to meet you, I'm Leon Hohenlohe."
Nell smiled slyly, "Don't worry, I know who you are. Leon Hohenlohe, born in Earth Year, 205 descended from the Dukes of Oldenburg in old Germany. Trained by former Raven "White Queen, pilot of the Gundam nicknamed 'Check Mate'"
Leon was surprised, did all of Nerves Concord's liaison's know of their assigned pilots? Such a fact made him very unsettled, not a good feeling at 5 o'clock in the morning.
Nell continued, retaining the formal look on her face, "But back on topic, I'm responsible for your managerial duties, including mission assignments and communications support. How long I will be your manager is up to you, but I look forward to working together."
Leon nodded as Nell spoke, "I've already lined up your first mission assignment. The job is low in rank for a Raven, but it is a good chance to get warmed up. Please complete this mission successfully."
"Alright, I'll take a look at the mission selections, thank you."
Leon said calmly.
"On a parting note, 'Some birds can fly, while others cannot.' This is the only truth in your existence as a Raven, I pray you'll have the ability to fly."
With that the comm link closed and the computer screen returned to the desktop.
"Didn't have to be so cryptic about it." Leon said, with a smile, moving to look over the mission assignments now.
Missions Available:
Mobile Pod Supression
Client: Zio Matrix
Reward (Advance): ----
Reward (Upon Success): 27000
Prototype Mobile Pods are malfunctioning and running loose in the Bundle MS Factory. The cause of this may be from an electromagnetic field surrounding a meteor that fell nearby.
As the malfunctioning Mobile Pods are only prototypes they are weakly armed. No major damage is expected, but we cannot allow them to run amok.
Your mission assignment is the destruction of all malfunctioning Mobile Pods. Good luck.
Eliminate Informer
Client: LCC
Reward (Advance): ----
Reward (Upon Success): 30000
We request the elimination of an informer. The target is an employee of ours who has been selling highly classified information to other corporations.
Through surveillance we've learned that he will be meeting with representatives from Emurade Corporation tonight, at Falna Crater. We want you to eliminate him then and there.
Attack only the vehicle that the target has boarded. Ignore the corporate forces if necessary. We want to send them a message that we will no longer tolerate such activities.
I don't like to hire a Raven, but as the rest of our forces are engaged in other activities, I don't really have much of a choice. That is all. Good luck.
Iglesias Vespertania
Beep...beep....beep...HEY! WAKE UP! I can't believe you are ignoring me!
The sudden loud noise inside her nice, dark room shattered the comfortable shell which she called sleep. Her hand managed to come out from within the covers in which she had cocooned herself and scrambled for her phone. When she failed to grab it, Iglesias had to poke her own head out, only to be greeted by a face that was uncomfortably close to the edge of her bed.
Waaaah! What the heck!? Who are you and what are you doing in my room!?
In front was a very pretty blonde girl with the most uncanny eyes. Upon further inspection, Iglesias realised the girl wasn't actually inside her room, but has managed to hook her screen to the projector and had positioned herself mere inches from Iglesias' head. What!? I was being considerate enough to wake you up and this is what i get? Hmph, maybe i don't really like you anymore
Iglesias still had no idea who she was, but she could feel the heat from the girl's intense stare, even through the screen. She was someone not to be messed with. The best course of action was of course to pander to this... girl
I am deeply sorry. May i please have the name of the thoughtful person who has helped me wake up?
Like a switch, the intense stare turned into a bright smile of joy. The change, while welcoming, was unnerving considering how fast it was.
Teehee hee. Thats better. Now, as for who i am, you can call me Ammy. Let's be friends ok?
Not exactly what Iglesias had hoped for. A rank, purpose or even her full name was more in line with the information she wanted.
Ummm Ammy? Is that your full name? What exactly do you need from me and how did you bypass the system and connected without me accepting the call?
Ehhhhh? My full name? But thats boring, but if you insist, its Amelie Tenkawa, but i insist you use Ammy. Cute name isnt it? As for the system, i just tinkered with it a bit, yknow? had to go through a few walls, but it was a piece of cake.
Iglesias had to do a double take. Take down a few walls? This young genki girl just said something completely absurd. Nerve Concord was one of the most advanced companies in the system. To take down privacy and security firewalls and call it easy was just preposterous, but the fact the matter is, she is right here in front of her face. Who IS this girl?
Ooook...Ammy.... So did you need me for something?
Well, i couldn't wait to meet you y'know? Particularly after reading your profile. I feel like we could become the best of friends since we match so much!
That was something Iglesias found debatable but she kept that thought to herself.
I couldn't wait for day, so i contacted you early.
Is that it?
Well, there is also the boring task of telling you that i am your Liaison manager with Concord, but who cares about that.
Wait what?? That is important! I care! That means you will be handling me for my missions!
Well, yes, but the more important thing is that we are going to be friends...
Ammy poked her head offscreen for a second, with a few murmurs coming through from the background before she returned, witha bit of a sour face.
.... ok ok... I got it. FINE. I'll get back to work... you party pooping Nell. POOPER!...... Party pooper Nell told me to get to the original point of the call, pooper Nell! POOPER... you pants pooper! I am to tell you that there are several missions available for lower ranked Ravens. You can choose to accept them, or you can go explore the base..... OH OH OH OH! If you go explore the base... You can visit me!
Iglesias had ahard time imagining why such a professional corporation hired such a... bubbly girl for Liaison and CIC. She didn't seem to be taking the job seriously at hand. However, she seemed nice enough and Iglesias didn't have the heart to tell the girl off, particularly since she genuinely wanted to be friends. With a sigh, Iglesias decided to just suck it in and take the bad with the good.
Missions Available:
Mobile Pod Supression
Client: Zio Matrix
Reward (Advance): ----
Reward (Upon Success): 27000
Prototype Mobile Pods are malfunctioning and running loose in the Bundle MS Factory. The cause of this may be from an electromagnetic field surrounding a meteor that fell nearby.
As the malfunctioning Mobile Pods are only prototypes they are weakly armed. No major damage is expected, but we cannot allow them to run amok.
Your mission assignment is the destruction of all malfunctioning Mobile Pods. Good luck.
Eliminate Informer
Client: LCC
Reward (Advance): ----
Reward (Upon Success): 30000
We request the elimination of an informer. The target is an employee of ours who has been selling highly classified information to other corporations.
Through surveillance we've learned that he will be meeting with representatives from Emurade Corporation tonight, at Falna Crater. We want you to eliminate him then and there.
Attack only the vehicle that the target has boarded. Ignore the corporate forces if necessary. We want to send them a message that we will no longer tolerate such activities.
I don't like to hire a Raven, but as the rest of our forces are engaged in other activities, I don't really have much of a choice. That is all. Good luck.
The second mission seemed a bit harsh for a burn in mission. The first one against unmanned pods seems more her speed for her virgin mission, so Iglesias went with that.
Well, the first mission seems like a good one for my first sorty, so i guess ill take that one.
Awww... I thought you would have wanted to hang out with me!
Ah... this is going to be tough... its going to be like having a younger sister...oh well...oh i know! Lets try this...
Nonono, this mission is going to be a celebration of us becoming friends. I mean if we grow even further in friendship, we will know each other better and support each other better in missions. That would mean that you can keep me safer and safer the more we are friends.
That does make some sense. I knew it! We are soooo going to e good friends.
Iglesias was thankful that the girl was quite simple.
i guess i'll start to get ready. We can meet later in the morning when i've finished my morning rituals
okiedokie. See you soon!
The room returned to the normal darkness when the projector turned off. The girl was nice enough, if a bit odd. Shrugging it off, Iglesias pulled herself from the cover and began to tug off her pyjamas.
Leon Hohenlohe
Assassination Contract
Leon read over the missions, and immediately decided "Well, looks like I'll take this one." He said calmly, taking up the contract with LCC. An informer selling secrets to a corporation is bad enough. But he had to be pretty stupid if he was thinking that the LCC would not catch on after so long. But there was another certainty. For Emurade to be looking towards gaining secrets from LCC, perhaps Emurade might be looking to bring them down...who knows.
"Best ask Nell about it when I see her."
Leon sighed and said, moving to get his clothes up and together. Checking the time for 6 am, he spoke to himself, "Kinda wished she didn't wake me up this early." He left his room, and began to head off towards the Mobile Suit Hangar.
Iglesias Vespertania
It took Iglesias a while to get out of her bed and pull on her clothes. The room was temperature regulated, meaning she wasn't waking up into chilly air. It was actually at a temperature where stripping down and change wasn't going to result in her to instantly breaking into shivers like it would of planet side in Lowengrube. The time was still ridiculously early but she doubted that she could have gotten back into the bed, not with Ammy in the system. It was probably a good idea to make her way to the hangar to set up her suit while Ammy gave her a better and more indepth briefing. Upon reaching near the hangar, a familiar figure was also sauntering in the early morning
'Lo leon. Fancy seeing you here at this early of a time.
Even though the temperature was regulated, Iglesias shrunk her head further into her scarf and shivered slightly as artifical breeze blew lightly through her leg.
Tch. Shoulda worn stockings....
Leon Hohenlohe
Leon was looking through the weapon schematics of the replacement semi-automatic rifle to replace his now destroyed assault rifle, when he heard a familiar voice chime in from behind.
'Lo leon. Fancy seeing you here at this early of a time.
Leon turned to see Iglesias as she was walking by. "Oh, morning. I wish I didn't have to wake up this early." He said, tiredly. Leon was holding up a coffee cup in his hand. "Comm Officer served as the alarm clock, huh?" Leon said, heading over to fix Iglesias a cup of coffee. It was pretty chilly in here, and Leon hoped that the coffee would help in that matter. "You've seen Chris, by any chance?"
Christopher Walker: Rank 52.
Pilot of: Gundam Deathscythe
The morning alarm woke Christopher from his deep slumber. He’d never been one for a light snooze; it’d take a stampede of wild boar to stir him- or an alarm with a ring that could-potentially- wake the whole base. It was horrid, disgusting. Christopher hadn’t been woken this early since childhood. He couldn’t even tell what the time was. It could’ve been 5.00 a.m. for all Chris knew. He yawned a long, drawn out yawn before awkwardly rolling himself out of the bed. He didn’t bother complaining. Christopher knew this would be all a part of his future now… Or, what his idelic future would be like. Nevertheless, any thoughts he had dissipated when the in-room phone rang out. It pinged for about 5 to 6 seconds before Chris grabbed it. A female propped up onto the main screen- obviously, this was a video call.
“Hello… Walker? This is your supervisor, Lisa Monet. We seemed to have mishandled your documents, and sent your assigned liaison on a mission back on Earth. As such, I will be your acting liaison until Rezniew returns. ”
Christopher nodded, his mind still dazed by his sudden rise... He guessed to himself that this was some sort of briefing, and then waited to hear: his blurry vision straightened out, somewhat.
“Anyway, I have been instructed to offer you two separate mission options.”
Following this, two separate files manifested onto the screen which formally display Lisa. To the left was some sort of mobile pod related assignment… Not particularly suited to the DS’s skillset- however, the other was a different story.
“Eliminate informer… eh?”
It seemed as though this was more towards Christopher’s style. Whatever the DS lacked, it made up for in its stealthy “shock ‘n’ awe” capacity. Not to mention the increased cash offer- always a sealer. But… There was much more to do with this choice. Emurade had been one of the vultures who pinched Walker/Kyle from his family. This would be fitting for his first… kill. His body shuddered at that thought. Chris couldn’t shy away now- he knew it.
“I…I choose the Informer mission.”
“Excellent! Please report to the hangar soon, you may want to consult your teammate(s).”
And that was that. Lisa was gone and Christopher was alone again. He pulled his body and spirit into the bathroom: Time for a shower. Christopher then planned to head straight to the hangar while he still could. A bright and early day would help.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forty five minutes later:
Christopher’s stroll was quite a quite pace. He’d spent 10 minutes longer in the shower and his timing suffered. He glanced up forward, as Chris reached the recruit hangar section. It was there he caught sight of Leon and… Ignessia? Christopher couldn’t seem to recall the names correctly. It was already too late to panic, as he reached the two… Approximately five minutes after Leon’s reference to him: which he didn’t catch.
“…Hey… ”
Christopher mumbled, his eyes avoided contact as he scanned for the Deathscythe. Some repairs were in order, after those drones from before- not to mention the optimisation and calibration he would need to alter to the Deathscythe’s hardware and operating systems… Heck, he even considered the need for the Scythe…
“…E-early start for you two as well..?”
