[RP] The Tidal Waves

Vitali laughed good naturedly and was going to correct Asuka's half bungled Russian-Engrish pronunciation, but was cut off as she nigh on launched him into the nearest clothes shop. With an eager and honest excitement she looked through the racks, clearly ready to fill her suitcase until it was bursting. Leaning against a nearyb display, Vi watched the world go by, ocassionally catching a glance of Asuka's tiny, tiny choice is bikini; was she trying to rile up his teenage lusts?

Deciding it best not to delve into those thoughts further he focused solely on the people passing by until Asuka hinted she was ready to leave by clining to his arm affectionately.

"...No trouble. If you don't mind there's a shop just over there I'd like to go in..."

Walking her over to the media store, he riffled through the games hoping to find something to entertain him in quite moments on the holiday.

"So, do you play anything, Asuka?"

Bridgette lost herself in the sea of people in the airport without casting a second glance at those she was leaving behind. She noticed how Jared was off fraternizing with a few sales girls, biding his time and stroking his ego.

Bridgette felt she needed the same treatment.

After a rather bruising altercation with the girl of her past an hour ago, Bridgette needed to wipe everything from her mind and focus on what was important: herself.

She found two gentlemen wearing dark cerulean suits with gold buttons and detail; matching blue caps were seated on their table. They were in the middle of the food court, sitting along with a drink each just to take the edge off. She could never resist a man in uniform, but to see one first hand was a real treat in and of itself. She swooped in on this opportunity.

Queen Bee popularity gave her resounding confidence over the years. She could easily strike up a conversation with anyone, man or women, of any age, whether or not she had good intentions.

One of the pilots was an older man, possibly in his forties it seemed. Thin grey strands began to show in his dark hair, and his chiseled jaw held a few faint wrinkles from the stressful years of flying planes and raising children. His companion was much younger however, a young blonde in his early twenties. His piercing azure hues were green with experience and eager for adventure. A young man with his mentor on his first over seas voyage.

Bridgette spent her free time talking with the men, specifically chatting up the young lad, who she later learned would be piloting their very own private plane for the trip to Bermuda. Taking the time to unwind from the morning’s drama eased the girl back into her comfort zone; a reigning Princess who exuded poise wherever she went, no matter her surroundings or audience.

"It didn't help I literally shot out of the house this morning either," grinned Sarah. She noticed him smirking. So his confidence was gaining. This made things less awkward. Perfect.

She waited for Fletcher to order and noticed his needs were just as big as hers. However, she laughed off the healthy remark. He was right in some sense, but she was never really one for being so healthy all the time. She was only able to keep her figure through the various activities she did, such as swimming, hitting the gym and lots and lots of walking while shopping with Stevie.

"Hmm, let's sit by the window and enjoy the sunshine," said Sarah after a short pause. "After all, it'd be funny if we don't get any on the plane and we'd be sat there like the miserable people that we are." The last remark was a joke.

She went to go and sit over by the window and motioned Fletcher to join her.

Fletcher grinned a bit at Sarah’s comment. He was never one for laughing, which ruined a good many jokes…but he could appreciate humor when it came around.

“Yeah. We should store as much sunlight as we can to keep our happy meters going.” It was probably a really, REALLY, lame joke in compared to Sarah’s, but then again Fletcher wasn’t one for jokes. He couldn’t create a proper joke to save someone’s life.

He followed Sarah to the table and took the seat across from her. Setting his Subway bag down, he carefully removed the wrapped sandwich from the plastic. Taking off the wrapping, he stared at the celestial food item in front of him before taking a bite. He probably should have waiting for Sarah to start eating, too – that would have been the nice thing to do.

“Good going, idiot. Nice way to be rude.”
He thought to himself. Setting the sandwich down, he looked across at Sarah. He kept trying to form words, start a conversation…but he couldn’t think of anything to say. Add another thing to his list of things he couldn’t do – start a conversation. Although he was a bit more talkative over at Subway, he retracted back into an awkward kid.

“Damn it…think of something to say!”

Asuka and Vitali entered the media store, at a more normal pace compared to how she dragged him into the clothes store.

They stopped in front of the games. Trying to look at the titles, Asuka was only able to glimpse images as they kinda merged into a blob of colours, some looked like someone had vomited rainbows and unicorns, although she associated that more with how they became a blur.

"A little." she started to reply. "I do enjoy a game now and again. I'm just not a full time video gamer." she finished.

"Which games do you like?" Unless he picked something up, this would be the best way of finding out. "Are you looking for anything in particular?"

Bridgette grinned as her exploits proved to be ever successful. She found herself in a favourable position, never one to turn down a man in uniform, and likewise for him, never to turn down a pretty girl. She wondered if these two would be staying with them in Bermuda for the duration of the trip; a fling in the sun would just be icing on the cake.

The older Pilot, Chet Baker, checked his watch. “Well let’s go kids, don’t want to be late.” The two finished their non-alcoholic drinks and donned their Pilots caps.

Bridgette bit her bottom lip as the temptation was wearing hard on her. “It won’t take long until we get there... will it?” She’d directed her question mainly to her target, Dustin Slater. As the cap pressed own on his hair, tiny strands of blonde fringe came down to frame the top of his face, which broadened down into high pronounced cheekbones and a strong jaw. Suddenly, all thoughts of the morning’s previous drama, Jared and Sarah, just escaped her mind. The early butterflies of infatuation swelled in her gut. She decided right then and there, she had to have him. It would be her sole mission during the trip to capture him and make him hers.

The three of them casually strolled through the rest of the airport, breezing through security passages and luggage checks. Bridgette had what little was on her, checked for dangerous belongings, and then retrieved her purse, her carryon luggage having already been taken ahead with the rest of the students’. She had her passport checked over and received her boarding pass.

“It’ll take around 4 hours to get there, depending on any weather conditions.” A quick glance at the wall to wall windows showed cleared skies, at least in the airport anyway. “I assume we’ll have an easy trip ahead of us.” Chet had been soaring the skies for years, and could readily read what was ahead of him. Today, however was different, because none of them realized what would be ahead of them.

Bridgette and Dustin shared a few coy glances back to each other while the old man spoke. Dustin would roll his eyes at his mentor’s words of wisdom, which would cause Bridgette to stifle a giggle. She’d have to play a different game this time around, acting playful and almost innocent to ensure she wasn’t coming on too strong for him. High school boys were different; they were crude, they knew what they wanted it and they wanted it now. However older men who had gone to college and gotten jobs, they knew to take their time... good things came to those who wait, and all that. She’d have to be patient, something she wasn’t particularly good at.

Chet pressed his key card to the access panel as they approached Gate 32B, the meeting point for her class. “Looks like we’re the first ones here. They’ll have to check in soon with their boarding passes though, it won’t be long.” She was the first of her own age to be there, after all the pilots had to be early to check in, and she didn’t want to lose sight of her man. She didn't even notice the presence of another, seatted far off to the side and kept to themselves. So absorbed in herself she didn't bother to keep an eye out for the others to get there, her attention was all on Dustin. Sending him subtle hints, she’d grab his arm as they laughed, or gently push on his chest if he teased her for being too young to go see the world. All an excuse really just to touch him, of course.

[OOC: My bad, I misread some stuff a bit I guess. :gasp: She's a self absorbed bitch anyway :wacky: I corrected nao]

OOC: Boo Channy. Iglesias is already at the gate. In fact, sitting right next to it, albeit covered in her hooded coat.

Iglesias was proud of one thing and that was her ability to kind of hide her presence, maker herself seem undistinguished. She loves her cloak due to the fact it was black and had a deep hood that covered her distinguishing features, her face and her hair. The gate should open soon since the pilots had arrived, but they were not alone. With them was Bridgette in her typical... flirty self. Iglesias cracked open an eye and spotted the prey that predator seemed to set her eyes on, the young pilot of their trip.

Hm.... pilot fetish/fantasy? Well... most school girls cant resist uniforms i guess.

Knowing that the gate was going to open soon, Iglesias lowered her head back to where it was, hoping to not draw Bridgette's attention to her. The last thing she needs is the attention of the school's queen bee. That would just compromise her own policy of minimum exposure.

OOC: This might be because I've been watching too much Gossip Girl lately, but I can totally imagine Serena's voice belonging to Sarah. :wacky:

IC: Sarah took a bite of her wonderful sandwich. She'd love one of these every once in a while and today was no exception. All she had consume today was a mere glass of orange juice. That argument with her parents back at the house cut her breakfast time shut. It came back to her in a mere flashback. They wanted the family to go under the Witness Protection Scheme because there was a criminal that had threatened them openly in a public place. Not to mention he was armed and dangerous.

And strangely enough, she didn't care about the criminal. She was internly proud of herself for standing up to her parents for once. They didn't understand how she had been feeling for the past ten years. She was disconnected from them, placed at such a distance by their regular business trips and such.

She only realised she was in Subway when she saw Fletcher eating his sandwich, coupled with the fact that she only had a few more bites left until she'd finished hers. Sarah was astounded that such a long time had passed since they had sat there. She felt a bit rude.

"So looking forward to the trip?" she asked Fletcher, making conversation. She took a sip of her Coke and took a bite of her double chocolate cookie. Then Sarah glanced at her watch and sighed. "We'll have to make our way over there in half an hour. Honestly, where does the time go nowadays?"

"Ah, nothing in particular..."

Picking up the box for Tactics Ogre, he gave it a once over and was satisfied that it would entertain him for the trip at the very least.

"I normally play FPS and fighting games, but you don't get those very often for hand-held gaming."

For a good five minutes Vitali went on with himself, describing the phyics engine employed in the latest CoD and his excitement for the newest Gears of War release. Realising Asuka probably didn't care and was even less likely to know what FPS, SRPGs, JRPGs, RPGs, 3rd Person Shooters and whatever else were he just paid at the counter and changed the subject to something more acessible for the pair of them.

"So...you're friend..um, Nina? She was telling me you liked somebody. A boy. Should I be jealous, hmmm? <3"

He nudged her playfully as they exited the shop, acting as casual as he could, though secretly he really did want to know if his princess was soon to be beyond his grasp.

Asuka listened intently to Vitali's extremely detailed explanations.

"The games I prefer the most are RPGs, although, I don't play as much as I would like to." She started with a smile. "The RPGs I like the most are known as JRPGs in the West. They are very big in Japan, obviously. The most popular game series, Dragon Quest, is one of my favourites."

They exited the store when Vitali's next question came a little out of the blue. She paused before responding not really sure how to. "Um..."

Walked through the airport towards the gate she spoke up. "Well, yeah. There is a boy I like." her cheeks turning a rosy red. She told Nina about her crush in confidence. And that was obviously a bad mistake. "His name was Rahal."

[Past]

It was two years ago. She had her bag packed having just left her home. Before leaving the city she walked a couple of streets over to a house on the main street. She knocked on the door. She was greeted by Rahal, an 18 year old who was 5'10 with long brown hair and dreamy blue eyes. Wearing a Dandy's Kimono, this a kimono for men, paired and is orange and purple in colour, orange down the right and purple on the left. It has white cuffs rolled upto the biceps and a red ribbon around the shoulders. Rahal is also wearing a pair of navy blue baggy Hakama pants. A pair of white socks and sandals finish off his attire. His innocent look is only a mask though as rahal is one of the finest Sword Fighters in the world.

"I'm leaving the city. Will you come with me?" she asked, to which he merely replied with. "I'm needed here in the city."

"You promised!"
She spat at him. "You promised you would show me the world. I'm going to see the world. Why won't you come!?" She was teary eyed by the time she finished her sentence.

"I would if I could but..."

"BUT! BUT!? I'm never returning to the city and all you have to say is BUT!? Goodbye, Rahal."
Tears were now streaming down her face.

She left him standing there, not even giving him a chance to explain. She didn't want anexplanation. She wanted the person she loved. In her eyes he was abandoning her for not leaving the city with her. She headed to the nearest café, asking to use the bathroom facilities she washed her face to hid the fact she'd just broken down. When she was presentable she thanked the guy who showed her to the bathroom and left for the city gate. She just arrived there when someone called her name, a firm sounding voice called out to her. It was her father. She turned around to face him. They argued about her grandpas inheritance money.

[Present]

Asuka explained how she had loved Rahal, she explained their final words, how she broke down heartbroken, and even explained how she had then argued with her father before finally leaving the city. Her final day in Japan was filled with nothing but arguments.

Once Asuka had finished telling Vitali her story they found themselves at the Ariport gate. She went through the security checks first. All Clear. Collecting her belongings she found a seat and waited for Vitali to go through the security procedures.

The time was growing near to be on the plane. After eating their sandwiches, Sarah and Fletcher found themselves walking through the airport towards their terminal. They got through the security, having shown their passports and boarding passes, with much ease. It was a typical scene with them talking, although Sarah was doing the vast majority of the talking.

Fletcher was being quiet here and there, only answering when he felt it was necessary. He didn't mind Sarah talking, he liked to hear the sound of her voice.

"Looks like this is it," said Sarah, as they reached their boarding gate. "I wonder if they're boarding now?" However, she noticed Iglesias and recognised her from the bus. Maybe we're getting on soon.

She walked up to the attendant standing at the gate.

"Excuse me, is this plane boarding now?"

"Why, yes. We're just about to announce it, actually."

"Great! Thanks!" she said, offering a warm smile in return and then she looked at Fletcher. "Looks like we can get comfortable before we take off. I don't normally like taking off in planes, but I love the landing."

The two showed their boarding passes and made their way to the plane. As soon as they reached the plane itself, a flight attendant showed them to their seats. As they walked with her, Sarah caught a brief glimpse of Bridgette near the pilot's cabin.

So was she eyeing up a new target already? Sarah didn't know why, but she felt this angry pounding in her heart. It was furious. Full of rage.

"Here are your seats," the flight attendant said.

"Thank you," said Sarah, as she and Fletcher took their seats.

Faythe had long since given up on hacking the computers due to the amount of security at work today. She had gone to the arcade for a while and beat the high score on house of the dead 4, a game she was particularly good at. She stretched as she noticed the time. She grabbed her carry on bag and headed to boarding, she sat down in her alotted seat by the window. "This is going to be fun" she thought to herself as she put her music back in and waited for boarding to be finished

"Oh."

Vitali answered sullenly, Asuka was already in love with some devilishly handsome young man. Even though she felt he'd abandoned her, he could tell there was still sentiment there. At 15 she's already been in love? Sure Vi had a girlfriend here and there but nothing ever so emotionally mature.

"..."

Now he wasn't even sure what to say to the girl and it was his topic of conversation in the first place! He didn't know what he was expecting, but that certainly wasn't it. Mustering up a little courage, he finally commented on the story he's just been told.

"I think you should go easy on Rahal if you love him. Asking a 15 year old boy to give up everything is...it's unfair. I've been there myself and I can tell you, leaving everything you love and know behind, it's hard. I'm sure he loved you, he just wasn't ready. You should forgive him that much."

No! This wasn't how it was supposed to happen! He was not supposed to be giving relationship advice to his Princess about other men...

"Oh..?"

They'd already arrived at security and Asuka got through with no issues, as usual it took the Russian and extra 5 minutes as he argued about the metal plate that always triggered the alarm. This particular security attendant had been incredibly fastidious.

"Americans!"

Vi grumbled as he stomped passed Asuka and made his way on to the plane.

Vitali stomped passed her muttering a single word. In a huff he marched onto the plane without actually saying anything to her. This was fine by her, since it gave her a few seconds to think of a reply to his advice.

Following Vitali, she boarded the plane and took her seat at the side of him.

"I..." she began. "You..." She was at a loss for words. She didn't even know where to begin. "Rahal was 18 at the time. He's 3 years older than me. I was 15 then. But um... That's not important." She mustered with a bit of a stutter towards the end. She didn't know why she corrected him. Maybe to give him a better understanding of the situation. But it wasn't really necessary. Or was she buying for time to think of a more suitable reply.

Either way her brain was working overtime and this diversion may have given her the opening she needed. Not really giving him a chance to comment she started to speak again. Oh well. He'd have time to answer once she was finished.

"Whether I forgive him or not, does it make any difference? I mean he wouldn't leave Japan. So while he is there, there isn't a great deal I can do about it. I do not have any plans of returning home and from the way we left things I would be very surprised if I saw him again." She started sobbing and clung to his arm, leaning her head on Vitali's shoulder.

Right about now a change in subject would be greatly appreciated. She wanted to avoid a conversation about something so emotional to her in such an open place. Even if they were alone ina private location she'd be weary of talking about this now. It's still quite soon and she hasn't really gotten over that day yet. Although, dealing with it here would be a good thing? It would allow to vent some of her frustrations, maybe by getting her feelings out in the open it would help her to move on? Or maybe they would make things worse. Only time could tell.

The Russian huffed into the seat and folded his arms, still scowling. It didn't take long for his anger to fade though as Asuka tottered up after him and took her seat. She even opened up a little about the event that obviously still haunted her so. So Rahal had been her senior then? But still a boy, Asuka probably just couldn't see that, girls always matured much faster, especially in matters of the heart.

"Well--"

Before he even started, the asian woman cuddled into him, sobbing out her sweet little heart into his shoulder. Clearly this guy had a heavier lingering sentiment than she was willing to admit. Normally, Vi would have snapped up such a chance but right now it hardly seemed appropriate to take advantage of her fragility. If he was going to win her affections as he desired, he was going to be a man about it, even if that meant getting ultimately rejected at the end of it.

"Come, little krolick, crying will ruin that pretty face of yours."

Reaching into his jacket pocket he pulled out a tissue and offered it forward to her as least invasively as possible.

"Things will work out. You'll see."

Asuka accepted the tissue and dried her eyes. He tried to reassure her, which she appreciated. Maybe Vitali would be the kind of guy she longed for? The kind of guy who wouldn't run away at the mere thought of commitment. She thought that of Rahal though and he even promised her the world. Such an empty promise. She'd have to just play things by ear.

Gaining her composure slightly she spoke up. "I..." She sniffled. "I hope so." She managed to finish. She was still emotional but at least she wasn't sobbing anymore.

"Is there a girl that you like?" She braced herself. It was a sore subject for her, maybe it was a sore subject for Vitali. Although he did start this train of conversation.

She continued to wipe away the odd tear that escaped her eyes, it wasn't much longer before the waterworks ceased entirely.

(OOC: FREDDY! Teh flooooooof <3)

Asuka perked up a little and that was a small enough victory for now. Her question made him laugh openly and he nodded enthusiastically.

"Ah, of course! All of the girls in this country are so pretty! But..."

He grinned his handsome, roguish smile.

"The girl I like, she is the most beautiful of them all. She doesn't realise it though, I think that is what I like the most about her."

Standing up, Vi removed his over-jacket, leaving him in just his t-shirt and jeans. It was fairly warm on the plane and already he was begining to regret not stealing another chance for a cigarette before their journey. They were going to be in the air for at least 4 hours, but it was too late now. Showing his jacket into the overhead compartment he sat back down beside his Asian beauty and smiled at her again.

"I'm sorry I made you cry..."

(OOC: Focus!!!)

"Don't apologise, I chose to explain my past, I could have stopped or been vague in the details." She owed him more than that though, which was why she divulged the full details of the day she left Japan.

So he did like someone! "The most beautiful girl of them all?" She was now intrigued. Just who was this precious beauty who held Vi's heart? "Since my love is from the past, maybe I should be the jealous one here?"

Maybe it was one of the girls in the school, it had to be, right? One of the more popular girls? Bridgette? Sarah? Nah, surely they knew how beautiful they were? This mystery girl had some sort of hidden beauty that she didn't even know she had.

When Vi removed his jacket she linked her arms around his again and snuggled upto him once more. This time in a more affectionate way rather than in a breakdown cling as before.

(OOC: But...but the fluffy!)

"Haha, maybe you should <3"

He smiled enigmatically and allowed her to snuggle against him. So modest she didn't even realise it was her! As he'd said though, that was exactly why he liked her. There was no denying girls like Bridgette and her lackies looked good, gorgeous even, but there was more to being attractive than simply a pretty face.

"Anyway, enough of this. I think four hours of cat and mouse will send us both mad."

Relaxing back into his seat he closed his eyes momentarily and wondered what to say next. He wanted to avoid the topic of school but didn't really know what Asuka did outside of it's walls. Opening his eyes again, he cast a quick glance around at the seating plan. Faythe was sat by a window seat not too far away and Fletcher and Sarah were both aboard minding their own business, he couldn't see Bridgette though, she must be still whoring it up with the young captain outside. Ready to join the mile high club no doubt. Some of the other students still seemed to be milling about.

Letting out a sigh, Vi thought this next 4 hours could be murderous.

Iglesias had dozed off where she sat at the gate, only jolting awake when the noise around her picked up enough to pierce through her headphones. After blinking out the sleep from her system, Iglesias pulled herself from the seat and sighed as she saw the line of people boarding. There was nothing to do, but to line up. Back pack on her back, the line crawled ever so slowly until the flight attendant took Iglesias ticket, by stared at her.

Maam, we'll have to have you remove your hood.

It was always bothersome. Minimal exposure was hard, with and without her hood, but there was no choice. Slipping off the hood, Iglesias waited for her ticket to clear and snatched it from the attendants hand, storming down into the plane. She did not care who she sat next to, just as long as they didnt bug her.

Row 3 A. A window seat

Throwing her stuff under her seat, she dropped herself down, buckled up and with her hood over her head, she hid her headphones and continued to listen to music. That way, she could keep listening even during lift off
