I say reboot it at a later time. Perhaps instead of rebooting just the second RP you could reboot the RP as a whole? Frankly, I would love that. The only problem I ever had with this RP was dealing with a certain two people. One left, and the other one annoys me to this day. As it goes, when it comes to RPing with either of them, I refuse to do it. However, I solved those problems by keeping my characters away from their "characters".
Therefore, I ended up fixing my own problems that way... until they started thrusting their "character" everywhere it wasn't wanted. Still, ranting aside, I still had fun, and I would be more than happy to join an entirely rebooted RP (as a whole, not just the sequel). Personally, I found the problem of the RP was that no one really communicated. You had people that would purposely place their characters in a room alone, or have them sleep at 8pm. They either expected the day to end within the next few posts (ending it for everyone that already made plans) or they expected people to come to them.
You would think in a RP people would get together with people they liked and plan something. Yet I find that most people don't. They do things off whims and drop in on other characters doing things that they already had planned between themselves. RPing together, as in everyone in the RP being in one room at the same time all trying to speak, it messy, and always ends as such.
I always found that the best RPing I ever had was done as me and a couple of others planned something out and went with it. However, I don't see people doing that much anymore. Or they'll start and they'll never finish. Or even worse, you can have 5 or 6 people that planned something out, but one person brings their character over, completely ignores what they had going, all in an attempt to "generate gameplay".
It's annoying because the gameplay was already there in the process of generating. They simply added on more annoying elements that everyone was better off without. Which is why when it comes to certain people, I'll never RP with them. I refuse. However, I realize that can be a problem. As with the first RP, I butted heads a lot with different people. Out of character bitching and complaining made the RP not as fun as it could have been.
Which is why I had tons more fun in the second one (as it lasted) by ignoring that person's posts.
Alas, I ramble. Bottom line here is, I liked the RP. Personally, I think the series as a whole should be rebooted. However, if certain people are kept around, I won't be joining. It'll just be saving everyone a whole lot of trouble.
