Is it just me, or is there any reason why the final boss is called SAFER Sephiroth? Bizzaro makes sense because, well, he is a bit odd, but i have never understood safer...bad translation, or can anyone shed some light on the real reason?

Apparently, he was meant to be called "Seraph Sephiroth" or something, in a reference to the 6(?) wings he has.

So, I think Safer Sephiroth is one of the more glaring translation errors.

That was bothering me as well! I just beat FF7 today, and I was wondering that. But the Seraph Sephiroth thing makes sense.

I also had to giggle everytime Bizarro Sephiroth used "Bizarro Enegy". :wacky:

Either Seraph Sephiroth as Aerith mentioned, or Savior Sephiroth as I've heard him being referred to. It's all to do with Hironobu Sakaguchi's feelings at the time he was making FFVII, his mother had died and he was thinking a lot about spiritual practices and such. Sephiroth the name itself is derived from the Kaballah, so either way makes sense. Yeah once again bad translation makes for confusion ^^
