This is one of the stupidest polls I've ever seen :/

Let's look at the facts:
Sephiroth can, with difficulty, take out a planet with limited ammunition (a comet). Goku can actually shatter the fabric of space and time by yelling...hmmm...I wonder...

 You mean meteor, I'm sure.

So, what now, Sephiroth fans? Goku wins for sure!
He has more powerful mana energy thingies that can wipe out Sephiroth and his measly Jenova meteor....

Sorry, Sephy fans -_-

Seriously, fans let their fandom cloud their judgment...and in this case their common sense in general. Hmmm...a common man vs. a nuke...HMMM...

For some strange reason, I disagree.

I mean come on, mana energy emanating from his mere fists?
Even that one Galacticus guy couldn't beat Goku?
His saiyan form can beat anything. Plus, Goku's died so many times and come back, nothing can stop him.

Do you have proof that Goku can defeat Galactus? Also, the only reason Goku kept coming back so many time is because the fans demanded it. Toriyama wanted to let Gohan have the spotlight and defeat Buu, but the negative reactions forced him to put Goku back into action. Sorry for off-topicness, just felt like proving that the DBZverse is far from the strongest universe.

How am I supposed to have proof that Goku can beat Galactus?

Sorry.

Gonna have to debunk that. The manga never showed Goku breaking the fabric of time and space by yelling, it was Buu and Gotenks who did that. And that's child play compared to the other universes. Once again, I apolgize for the off-topicness of this post.

Yes, they did, but it has been shown that Goku's power supercedes that of Gotenks and Super Buu, and therefore, I believe, since there is no such actual technique as that meaning that it's raw power, Goku could pull it off. Don't debunk my statements with unrelated facts :/

Exactly where did it say that Goku was stronger than Super Buu and/or Gotenks? I'm bit a curious. He fought Super Buu with Vegeta's help and they still got their asses kicked.

Goku would definitely beat Sephiroth, and can you imagine this? Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta-Goku fusion Vs Sephiroth. Sephiroth would have no chance.

Dragonball GT, twat.

This thread if getting a tad spammed, and you're thinking Super Buu after his absorptions, I'm simply saying super Buu, meaning Dark Buu absorbing Mr. Buu. Bleh, let's drop it, DBZ is retarded anyway.

Of course it's law, otherwise I would not have bothered to say that......

Goku is the most powerful creature that the world of anime/gaming has ever produced thus far.

XD

Well, while I think that Goku is indeed extremely powerful, I'll have to hand the trophy to Sephiroth. First of all, it takes an episode or two until Goku can muster all his strength and do that one attack. By then, Sephiroth would've probably beaten the living hell out of him, considering his quick movements and whatnot.

But if we're talking about them fighting squarely and having a go at each other, then maybe Goku? But that's only if Sephiroth isn't using a sword. =/ Because if he is, then of course he'd have the advantage.

That's just the anime. The manga is much more fast-paced and powering up only lasts for a few panels.

Then you need to read more manga and comics, for there are so many people who are far beyond Goku.

Well, one thing you have to take into consideration is that Goku was able to reach his full potential. Whereas Sephiroth was not able to.

Now lets say Sephiroth succeded. Became one with the life stream and became the 'God' he wanted to be, then how would Goku and Sephiroth fare. Considering before he was a god he would destroy solar systems to kill a bunch of resistance members then miraculously bring it back to destroy it again the next turn :P

Pitting Sephiroth against Goku in terms of the game you would have to choose a suitable time for Goku in which he hadn't realized his full potential.
I would recommend the Namek Saga Goku, because its my favourite, allowing Goku the ability to use Super Sayian but only with great difficulty and determination.

After Meteor turns Sephiroth into a God then Goku can be whatever he wants. Sephiroth would waste him.
