Did Sephiroth seem rather easy in this game? I just sat down after putting the game down for about five months and whipped him...I mean, it didn't seem like a challenge. Maybe I had the right mix of luck and abilities, but did anyone else find him easy?

he was laughably easy after level 70 he was hard for me since i only had high jump lvl 1 and was lvl 67 when i beat him and never managed to stop heartless angel.if i was to fight him now though it would be really quick since im level 99 and won the hades paradox cup.

It took me a few tries but I did manage to beat him in the end.

Looking back on it, I suppose it was pretty easy. You just needed the right mix of abilities.

I was talking about this with a friend yesterday!
I said that he was way to easy, even on proud mode I found him no challenge at all.
I even fought him with the kungdom key to try and make it harder but I still managed to beat him! Although he did have an advantage over me, a very big one

Well...Sephiroth is easy in the sense that, once you memorize his patterns, beating him simply becomes a matter of going through the motions. The first couple of times you fight him, he'll seem impossible only because you don't know what you're supposed to do. After you get the hang of it, though, it'll be incredibly simple.

Sephiroth was an overall easy battle. Even in Proud Mode I was able to completely destroy him. Everyone already covered what makes it easy. Other than memorizing the motions, the right mix of abilities and being on level 89 at the time also helps. But compared to the Sephiroth battle in the first game it was practically a breeze, the designers really weakened the fight alot.

he has owned me everytime i have fought him, but my first time throught i didn't fight him and now i am on the harder level going throught it again i have found him and he keeps slaying me

With the right skills u could defeat him easy on very low levels. It just depends who is behind the controller!

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of challenge to be found within Kingdom Hearts II. Not even Sephiroth can remedy that.

He can be a challenge if you purposely set yourself up for a disadvantage, but otherwise, he isn't difficult.

He's kinda tough to beat at level 45 without many items and without knowing his patterns.

See, this is why I think Square needs to translate Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix. Not only does Critical Mode provide the decent challenge that this game lacked, but it also gave us some incredibly difficult bosses like Terra or the Organization XIII Data Matches. As for Sephiroth himself...remember, there was a time when people thought of him as being incredibly difficult to beat at all, let alone on lower levels. The thing is that people have analyzed his fighting style so much that memorizing his pattern is now an incredibly simple task simply because of how many videos there are out on the internet showing exactly how to beat him. Because, really, once you get the timing right on his attacks, defeating him is just a matter of going through the motions.

Why translate? We already know most of the important words and such. Then you could just import it with swap magic.

Why not translate it? I find games more appealing when I can read menus.

It bothers me that Japan is the only country that can enjoy Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix. After all, Kingdom Hearts sells the best in the United States. Throw your most loyal fans a bone here, Square Enix.

But yeah, Final Mix would definitely provide more of a challenge.

Yes Sephiroth is easy to beat. I beat him at level 64 with the Oathkeeper on the hardest diffiuclty and only 2 Hi-Potions & 2 Eithers. I mean come on first time i tried it i killed him. Too easy.

Yeah, VoN has a point. Not everyone has memorized all of Sora's abilities and what level he learns them at, not to mention how difficult it would be for the average gamer to effectively use items. Magic probably wouldn't be very difficult to grasp, though, considering we at least know when and where we get each spell. Through a bit of trial and error, you could probably get your Shortcuts straightened out pretty easily. Still, the fact remains, Sora has a lot of abilities and items available to him that would make playing either Final Mix pretty difficult for a casual gamer. That being said, I'm pretty sure katakana is supposed to be very easy to learn, so I might just learn the characters and then import it.

Yes Katakana is easy to learn, but there is some Kenji involved as well. Items are actually easy to read. Once you learn what potion is then you can tell what higher lvs of it are. There are also pictures of them too. And assuming you are in critical mode, you start with 50 AP which is enough to equip all abilities in the game. Therefore you don't really need to learn what they say. (There are a few acceptions but they can be learn through trail and error)

Square Enix didn't sell it in America because they thought it wouldn't sell as well.
