Don't you think Supernova, despite being an awsome attack, is a bit silly. Because if you think about it "the planet" would not survive long if all the other planets in the universe are destroyed, it would be sucked up into the sun.
 
I remember reading somewhere that it's an illusion, so the planets don't really get destroyed, which would also explain why he can use it several times :monster:
 
He only used it once on me!! That would explain it. But its still quite a strange illusion though
 
Hi there Cloud64! I just wanted to let you know I fixed the typo in your thread. His name is actually spelled Sephiroth instead of Sepheroph. We don't want people wondering who "Sepheroph" is. ;)
 
i have also read this numerous times Aerith. and i agree with it. plus the whole illusison thing makes more sence with the status it inflicts (ie an illusion that confuses and bewilders might be reflected with status changes.... just a possibility.)

personally i think the move is a bit poo because it goes for too long, and its either whacked out and doesnt make sence (blowing up the universe, which the world of ff7 isnt even set in btw :S :S :S)... or its an illusion which does a bit of damage, which is also lame IMO...

Sephy should have just had a smaller scale version of metoer with a sick as explosion... that woulda been much cooler imo.
 
It always bugged me how the system that he destroys is OUR solar system... Not the system which FF7 is set in...
But lol, if it is an illusion I guess that explains it.. Perhaps he knows of our solar system because Jenova was from Europa, the icy moon of Jupiter!
 
That was an illusion of course :gasp: if it wasn't then he would have used it from the start and destroy the whole planet it's that easily.
 
Well I beat him so fast now that I'm use to It he never used supernova on me. Even If he did Its actually easy to dodge. Just have to have a good TV. :eek:uttahere:
 
It never crossed my mind that i might actually be destroying planets, I just thought it was a nifty little attack and thought nothing of it, so yeah the theory that it is an illusion is the most realistic one :neomon:
 
Super Nova was an annoying attack. Sure it's cool the first time you see it. But if you are under leveled and Sephiroth manages to throw five of them at you... well it's gets old after the second.

I would have to go with the idea that super nova is an illusion. If it weren't, well, then that would just killed idea of suspension of belief. ;)
 
I watched it only once because that's how many times I have fought that guy and how many times I allowed for him to do it but...uhm....I see al that just to destroy the party....and uhm....it doesn't work that much e.e;;
But uhm....the Planet just pulled some ninja action move and survived after all the attack was aimed at the party >_>;;
......I think ._.;;
