The Shroud of Turin. The very cloth that Jesus was wrapped in? Or just a prank from the Medevil time? Whats yours thoughts on it

I saw something about this on the Discovery Channel a few years ago. I would like to know if they ever tested the age of the cloth again at a later date. If the preliminary tests were faulty then I would say try it again from a spot on the shroud that wasn't remade 700 years ago.

I thought they've retested it a couple more times after that. But then again I may be wrong. As far as I know, apparently the original Shroud was singed in a church fire and then it was remade as dimmufan said sometime in the Middle Ages.

Well they carbon dated it during the 1980's but due to the fire the carbon in the Shroud is all messed up so there no way to tell when it was made

Well yeah, combustion reaction can effect the concentration of carbon. However, carbon dating isn't 100% either. It's been disproved in many different cases. For the most part, it's pretty accurate though.

I don't really believe that's Jesus' cloth. That's a little too far-fetched, don't you think? Is it possible? Sure, I guess. But highly unlikely.

It's possibly the only plausible artifact that can be attributed to actual truth. Take a look at the Holy Grail, Noah's Ark on Mt. Ararat, and others like it. All controversial.

The Ark of the Covenant is said to be in Ethiopia but when we actually have a solid guess as to where it is located (a small church, by the way), it turns out no one can see it because it is forbidden. You can actually be killed if you even so much as step foot in there. o_O

You'd think that stuff like this should be exposed more and actually proven so that doubt can be eliminated but apparently the higher-ups think that messing with beliefs is much more fun than actually uncovering the truth.
