[Sign-ups & Discussion] The Condemned

No worries. I was annoyed it happened, but I guess these things can happen.

For instance, I probably can't have Josie suddenly able to overpower everyone. Shame, really. I'd love to overpower everyone, but we can't have that happening now, can we? :kinky:

:D Yes Ma'am!

Fool me once, shame's on me. Fool me twice, shame's on you.

... <.< I didn't use that wrongly did I?

Then,

Once Bitten, Twice Shy.

I'll be sure to learn from this instance. I guess I do have a long way to go here in the world of role playing, ha ha :D

Unfortunately, I'm the same with these puns and innuendos. :gasp:

Expect quite a lot of them from Josie, as the story progresses along. xD

You'd think it'd be third time lucky, right?

But oh, Josie and the rest of MERIT luuuuuuuuurve their pizza. :britt:

well guys i hope someone decides to interact with me sometime soon, guns for hire arent good unless they get bloody well hired!!!!

yeah yeah i get it, ill try to find an opening but there doesnt seem to be one at the moment so i will sit back and wait

*rubs back of head*

God, you guys are enjoying yourselves. Left me in the dust...

Anyways, if either someone from MERIT or Black Hand would mind coming after me, and possibly Gavin, so I can show-case my own abilities?

I would, but I'm currently in battle with William, Danny's character. :lew: And seeing as she is a main villain, if she did battle you two afterward, I'd prefer she didn't get defeated, something you may not like.

*shrug* You won't get defeated. By same token, however, neither will I.

I'll basically be running like hell. And circumstances will be forcing you away, so we shall be apart for a while. X3 I love manipulating karma!

OUr battle is basically just to work out my kinks since I haven't RPed in a very long time, once I'm all good our battle will have to end abruptly, maybe you leave for other business and just leave me with your goons for a little "fun"

I think Amelia would just leave her goons there, you know. :8F: She hates weakness.

Galm 1, you are now APPROVED.

Now I think that's everyone who has posted a template approved so far. If you don't see your name on the first post, give me a shout and link me to your template if you can. It's hard enough trying to find some of these. :gasp:

Also, expect a post soon.

With approval- thanks- Diar! Another character to join you!

Name:
Beth Alicia Kate

Age:
Unknown*

Gender:
Female

Personality:
Beth is a typical succubus- promiscuous and sensual. This led her to meet many different people, from all walks of life, helping to develop an ability to read people well, as well as to lie professionally.*

However, this serves as a cover for who she really is.*

She harbors a great hatred towards humanity for having done what they did to her, and her friends from back then, and she takes extreme pleasure in killing humans. Beth doesn't even have qualms about taking the life of a child- so long the child is human.

Inside, she is also a kindhearted girl who is willing to offer assistance to anyone who needs it. Selfless too, always putting others before her- although this is suppressed when she is around the Black Hand, Humans and MERIT.

She is also extremely cool and collected, especially in battle. This is one of her more well known traits in and out of the Black Hand. People have been known to attempt to rouse her to anger, but fail miserably.*

She suppresses her emotions, showing to the world only her promiscuously cheerful side. This, as well as her standing with the Black Hand, often lead people to believe she is sadistic- though Beth wouldn't bother any less to deny those opinions.

Power(s):
First Power: Sickly Aura

Complementing her sickly appearance, the aura that hangs around Beth has the ability to enfeeble anyone that comes close- around 5 meters. To non-mutants, this means an increased susceptibility to sickness, and a general feeling of weakness.

To mutants, depending on the other mutant's strength and powers, they may or may not be affected by this power. In the case that it does, it would mostly reduce, to a small extent, the mutant's powers- and not completely remove it.

Second Power: Shining Aura

This aura causes Beth to glow brightly, allowing Beth to be able to blast energies of pure light at her enemies. These energies appear in the shape of a flat rectangle, and at about the average speed of an arrow from a longbow- roughly 60 meters per second.

The light is able to slice through anything that is not reflective. Partially reflective objects would reflect some of the energies.*

Note, if it isn't clear enough, while it is light, it does not travel at the speed of light. Also, Beth must produce a swinging action to launch these beams at her enemies. She can only launch at most three of these at any one time.

She can also forge a blade of light to use as weapon. This weapon is unlike the projectiles that she tosses, having the strength equivalent to the hardest metal- and yet unable to cut through any other metal despite the force applied, as a fallback. She can also blast beams of light from the blade.

Beth can also increase the intensity of her aura to cause a searing effect within one meter radius of herself. This, however, requires a high level of focus from Beth, which would render her incapable of any other action, and hence, is a rarely used skill.

Third Power: Spatial Domination

This would otherwise be called Teleportation, but the mechanics that cause it is better considered the control of space- hence, 'Spatial Domination'.

This power is Beth's most energy consuming skill, and requires Beth to release an aura that covers the universe around her, just to allow her to move the 'space' around herself to swap with another 'space' in another location. What this means is that, depending on how Beth controls her abilities, she may accidentally move certain objects with her.

... And no, she can't use this skill to kill- by moving a part of a person. (Nice try) For reasons unexplainable, if people are within the radius of about 1 meter of Beth, they will also be moved over to the new location as well.

Which also means it is possible for Beth to transport an entire building over to a new location, though it is not realistic for Beth, because of the immense energy requirements.*

Fourth Power: Timeless

Another aura that is perpetually in place around Beth. It stops the flow of time in Beth's body, which keeps her at the same age, and impervious to the effects of aging, but as a consequence, everything else about hey body is also kept the same.

Which includes her illness, brought about by the cruel experimentation during the war.*

This aura allows whatever Beth touches to be 'Timeless'- in other words, to be like Beth, with the time's effect on aging for that object or person stopped.*

Side:
The Black Hand

Appearance:
Beth

As shown in the image, Beth's hair is jet black, and reaches down to her waist. She has a sharp nose, and her blush is always rather evident on her face. Her brows are sharp and well defined, a plus along with her soft-looking lips which often translates as 'beautiful' to most people who see her.

Beth typically enjoys wearing a black top matched with jeans. It may be rather casual, but she has a tendency to choose the more tight fitting ones which accentuate her ample curves.

She looks to be rather sickly as well, appearing to be rather weak and pale. Her face is perpetually flushed, as if she had a fever, and this tends to lead people to think she is blushing.*

Bio:
Some time in the Second World War, in some place where even Beth herself have forgotten, with a group of friends, Beth was captured as a Prisoner of War by humans. And really unfeeling humans these people were.

They lacked compassion; they lacked pity. There was no qualms, no hesitations, about putting Beth and her friends through a series of horrible experimentation that ultimately led to the death of all her friends.

Beth was the only survivor, though the only thing she apparently gained from all this was a weakening disease that caused a perpetual fever in the girl, and chronic weakness in her limbs.

Her captors took this as a sign to experiment on her further, hence giving Beth her other three powers. It wasn't clear at first, both to her captors and Beth herself, but slowly, Beth came to the realization of her own powers. Fortunately for Beth, she managed to keep her powers secretly.

Her captors, not in the know about Beth's abilities decided that they would keep her for further experimentation. Beth quickly seized this opportunity to further develop her powers, and when they finally took her out for the experimentation, she unleashed her powers.

Every single person within the facility was brutally murdered- not a single person was spared. The hatred for humanity at that point was far too much. Beth felt no remorse, no pity, even as her captors begged for mercy at her feet. With her blade of light, she sliced open their throats. Their drawn blood was her only response to their pleas.

Thereafter, Beth began a wanderer's life, moving from place to place. The war at the time was still going on, and due to her fear of humans, she hid away from society for a long time, until the war ended. That was when the Black Hand found her by chance.*

She gladly joined, hearing of their intentions to annihilate the humans, and had been one of the earliest members since then.

There, she was taught, and forced, to learn to socialize. This instance in her history is one of the integral reasons for her personality in the present. The Black Hand also taught her to control her other powers, allowing herself to strengthen them, and develop them further.

It has been a long time now since her joining, though she is still acting for the Black Hand.
