Hm, there isn't a lot of active role plays recently, and I certainly have quite a bit of free time. :gasp:

EDIT: Done. This should be really interesting, since I'm playing a barely combat-capable character in a role play that would likely involve some fighting.

Personality:
A goth fanatic, Lac seems like goth personified. True to the image, she has a tendency to stay away from people, and keep to herself. As a result, she projects the demeanor of a loner, though she doesn't do much to change this image. In fact, it is this goth make-up that boosts her self-esteem.

However, if people do seek her out themselves, she will do her best to entertain them, despite her social awkwardness.

She has a tendency to avoid, as far as possible, situations that she doesn't want to be in- namely, situations in where she is embarrassed, sad, or just pure angry. She's not a very brave person, and gets really cowardly in situations that go sorely awry. Her powers corresponds well to this personality, which further developed in her a habit of running away from problems.

Yet, it is in her faults where her beauty lies. When she is put in a spot, or teased, she unintentionally reacts in a demure manner. This manner often leads people to feel a desire to protect her.

Power(s):

First Power: Sensory Manipulation


When Lac comes into contact with a person, she is able to alter the target's senses so long she wills it. This alteration is limited, however. Take for instance, sight. She doesn't completely alter the person's sight such that s/he sees nothing, but instead, alters it such that s/he sees something else instead. Alternatively, she can also remove from the person's vision something that s/he can originally see.

To put it simply, her alteration means the addition and subtraction of certain part of the sense. This can be done to the other senses, other than sight.

Note, the fallback of this is that she has to be in direct contact with the person- which makes it a difficult skill to use when she engages in battle.

The skill lasts at most 5 minutes. Any more than that would require continuous contact, and a 'renewal' of the manipulation. Of course, there will be that brief period when the person's sense is actually restored. If the person wishes to break free from her grasp, then that would be the perfect time.

Second Power: Personal Sensory Manipulation

If she is able to manipulate the senses of another, technically, she should be able to do so for herself, no?

Indeed, she can do so for herself, and in fact, is able to do this to herself for an unlimited period of time. Well, of course, this certainly doesn't sound useful at all, but really, the advantages of this ability lies in it's motivational effect.

Which is why I think this particular role play should be really interesting for me if they ever start fighting. ))

Third Power: Limited Precognition (Sixth Sense)

Lac occasionally has moments of foresight, in which she is able to see briefly ahead into the future. However, this foresight is usually less than 10 minutes ahead. It only happens when she is under tremendous stress.

The foresight is also usually less than 5 seconds long, is involuntary and provides a very clear picture of what is to happen.

Fourth Power: Emotional Sense Control

This is a power that Lac does not know she has. If she put her mind to it, she is able to release waves of energies that can compel a change in a non-mutant's emotions. For instance, if there were two strangers furious with each other and about to fight each other, and Lac were to feel strongly against the idea of the two fighting, her abilities might kick in to change the emotions of these two non-mutants. Their anger will fade away and they will suddenly make peace- which usually seems unnatural to people around. The emotional change to non-mutants is quite significant.

To mutants, the emotional manipulation happens at a very small extent. Because of the potential god-modding and all that rule-related issues, if I want to use this skill, I'll PM the person I'm influencing.

Rouge (With a strong aversion to both MERIT and the Black Hand)

She stands at a height of 1.69cm, and is often seen wearing this same dress- with only a variance in color on separate occasions. Her skin is naturally pale, her hair has been dyed a deep purple, and her nails are all painted black. Also, her irises are a natural black color.

Bio:
Lacrimosa was born to a family of Mutants. However, her parents aptly named her to describe their feelings of the situation in their family. At the time of Lac's birth, the two sides of the family, maternal and paternal, were undergoing a deep conflict with one another. Her parents were a ill-fated match.

Now, the father was born of a family of Mutants that went with the MERIT. The mother was born of a family that mostly sided the Black Hand. The two, while they had opposing views to the treatment of humans, saw past the perspective and fell deep in love with each other. Their love created Lac, a child out of wedlock. Now, both sides were pleased to have another Mutant join their ranks, and they certainly wanted Lac. They had no knowledge about Lac's abilities yet, but they just didn't want to let up a chance to have a Mutant that can potentially aid their cause.

Things were peaceful at first, with both sides opting for diplomacy. However, as soon as Lac was born, diplomacy became force. The two family clashed. Despite these, Lac's parents tried their best to raise Lac well.

Considering the situation of the families, it wasn't easy though. In Lac's childhood, she often had to deal with visits by her grandparents, who would fanatically pour out their perspective, and expect her to abide by them. Now, to a child, she couldn't be bothered much. In fact, to have two sides trying to force her to go with their sides, she got, instead, confused. This confusion caused her a lot of trouble, and she was often beaten as punishment.

Because of these bad memories, she never had a good opinions of Mutants in general. Neither did she have any positive thoughts when it came to the fight between the MERIT and the Black Hand.

As she grew, her abilities developed, and of course, both sides came to know of it. The moment it came to their notice, they were absolutely disappointed, thinking it to be useless. Thereafter, she was never bothered again. Her life became more quiet at that point, and she could live a peaceful life, at least up to the age of 16.

At the age, the two families got into a conflict again, this time over Lac's two parents. Now, after all those years when both sides tried their best to 'convert' Lac, they saw the uglier sides. Hence, they dropped their allegiance, and became rouge. Of course, the families were unwilling to let up two Mutants from their membership list.

Who knows if they would go over to the other side and betray them? The families opted to take preemptive measures. However, the Black Hand got to the family first, and coldly killed both Lac's parents. At the time, Lac's precognitive abilities kicked in, and she actually saw what was to happen, and even her own fate. Horrified by what she saw, she sprinted out of the house without any care.

Which saved her life. Her parents were startled by this move, but dismissed it as a sudden urge to meet a friend, and stayed home- thus leading on to their deaths. Meanwhile, Lac only remembered her parents when she was far off, far enough to see her house get raided by some unknown figures. Far off enough to see her parents running out of the house in an attempt to escape, only to get brutally slain.

This memory would stay to haunt Lac for a long time, though Lac later learned to suppress this memory with her abilities.

She spent a few months wandering on the streets, before a prostitute took her in- as a result of her fourth power. She was actually made to prostitute herself, but using her abilities, she never quite had to lose her virginity. All she did was just add the sensual pleasure into the person's senses. >.>

About a year or so later, her powers came to be known again when two Black Hand members observed and identified her to be a Mutant. They tried to recruit her, of course, and naturally, Lac refused. Following convention, they tried to kill her again, but only succeeded with the prostitute that took her in.

On the run again, she is on the verge of losing hope...

With everything slowing down, i can try this one out. Kinda reminds me of Hellboy. ill set up the profile template first.

Personality:
Cool and slick, just like an agent. Remington appears cool, collected, a slight bit cocky and somewhat sly, the type everyone wants to be. In work mode, she exudes authority and power as is with government agents. She has the ability to take on different airs and personalities, most useful in interrogation, but it is standard agent training. Truthfully, her real personality around those she is friends with is more playful and upbeat. Remington is nice for most of the time, but when it comes down to it, she can also be strict, stiff and a bit unmerciful

Power(s):
Power One: Regeneration
One thing that kept Remingtion alive was her ability to regenerate at extreme speed with very extreme damage. Amputated limbs, contusion and destroyed organs, compound fractures, punctured lungs, impaled, burst eyeballs, shot to hell, squashed, crushed, hollowed out abdomen..... she's experienced them all and lived through them all, even coming out as the victor. There is a limit to what she can recover. A blown head obviously is fatal, however, a stabbed heart can be recovered from if early on in the fight. She can die, its just ridiculously hard to. She also uses this as an advantage. Playing extremely realistic dead is pretty handy.

Power Two: Superhuman strength.
Since she does not have offensive abilities such as conjuring fire or expelling lightning and such, Remington makes do with conventional weaponry and pure skills in handling them. Her strength allows her to carry copious amount of weaponry around as if its nothing as well as allow the proper strength to wield certain weapons that arent as conventional. In addition to this, her melee and physical abilities are also greatly increased.

Power Three: Enhanced Eyesight.
Remington has the ability to zoom in her sights, so to speak. She is able to see things very far, very clearly, which is a plus when it is linked in with her fourth ability. This eyesight ability, when coupled with the right weapon and her shooting skills, can allow her to knock off targets from positions once thought safe.

Power Four: X-Ray Vision
Her second eyesight ability. Remington can sight through almost all kinds if walls except, though it differs from conventional x-rays. Firstly, its strength is much more stronger than conventional medical x-ray. Lead is still able to block it, but a substantially thick layer is needed. People can still wear a suit that can block her vision, but its weight and size would be clumsy (like a heavier EOD suit). Secondly, quality and sharpness does not deteriorate with range. A person just in her sight range will appear as a white dot, but will appear regardless. Lastly, she can still see the surroundings, but in a pulsing deep blue colour. The best description is that objects do appear in her sight, outlined a bit lighter than its body. So a table will appear as a table, but completely blue and a book on it will show up. This means that she will not be walking around blind and bumping into things, but be able to run around with ease. Details, such as printed writing and screens, will require her to disable her ability, either in one or both eyes.

Power Five: Acceleration Manipulation (later on)
Accelerator manipulation is the ability to manipulate an objects acceleration. This means by physically touching something, she can move it at whatever velocity she choose, no matter the size or weight, though it does becoming more difficult to move further the heavier it is. While having physical contact, she can alter its path as she wishes instantly
so she can zig zag at ease, but if she wants a smooth turn, she would turn the object in an arc via a lot of small, altered straight lines. Kind of like light. Its direction is changed with mirrors and when looked at closely enough, they are all straight lines. For non-touching small objects the above method is the only way to turn the object. So its slightly delayed in turning and needs to do so in an arc like a missile.

Remington is average with height, standing at around 176cm tall. She is tall, slender looking and rather graceful, but hidden under her suit and look is a trained body forged from the countless missions thrusted upon her from her job. Her hair is long, even though it is held up in a ponytail. It is a light brown in colour and when tied up, reaches down to the small of her back while her fringes are long. She crosses it from left to right with both bangs reaching down past her chin, framing her face. Remington's eyes are also light brown, kind of hazel in fact whilst her skin is somewhat pale.

Her clothing are very simple. It is a straight out, slim fit black suit. On the inside, she has a white suit shirt, buttoned up and tied up with a black slim tie with a platinum tie clip. She has a slim fit jacket on top which she buttons up with one of the two buttons. She wears black suit trousers followed by a pair of black leather loafers. On her hand, she wears a pair of black fingerless gloves. On her ears, she wear a pair of small dangling platinum earrings.


Weapons:
As an agent and not a soldier, Remington is not meant to be packed chock full of weapons. She carries with her a pair of pistols, a single hand cannon at all times and a sawn off shotgun. She has other weapons ready for her in her armoury, but that is what she carries always.

: Each holstered under each arm in a shoulder holster.

Custom M1911 Pistol redesigned to fire .454 Casull rounds
: Holstered behind her waist, horizontally with the grip pointing upwards to the right.

Sawn off Spaz 12 Shotgun: Holstered a bit below her M1911 Custom in a horizontal sling bag with a slight slant. This is open at both ends and somewhat rigid so that she can pull out the gun with ease. It is orientated similarly as her M1911, grip upwards and to the right.


Bio:
Remington was raised in a rather rich family. While hiding their ability's, her family flourished in normal society. Her parents were able to conceal their powers since they were internal, even when used. However, for Remington, her regeneration power was not so easy. Due to her rather energetic nature, Remington played sports with the boys and often injured herself. The rapid healing of relatively severe gashes and once a broken arm brought the attention of envious friends... and anti mutants.

It did not take long for the more violent factions to track down Remington's family and in an assault on the household, managed to murder the entire family. They showed absolutely no mercy in their methods and when cornered a cowering Remington, they released their hatred in a hail of bullets until their guns ran dry. Believing no one can survive that kind of shower, they left the house in a hurry as law enforcement closed in.

Most likely registered, MERIT came to the scene and while investigating, Remington stirred. Her regeneration had kicked in the moment she was perforated and was only lucky the perpetrators fled. Otherwise, they would have found her very much still alive. One agent saw the moving child and rushed over to her assistance. They knew they could not keep her there any longer, nor in this town, so they took her away back to MERIT and created a cover for the murder. They managed to retain Remington's inheritance, but due to her incident, Remington declined going back into a normal life, but instead, asked to help MERIT and to prevent another such incident from happening. As a result, Remington began again from MERIT, learning the usual curriculum as well as all there is to know of what was actually happening, skills as an agent, self defense and her powers. As soon as she was ready, Remington went to work instantly, even though she was still in her early teens. First off was observation and as she grew older, became more involved until the present time, where she is a highly respected and senior field agent.

Name: Dessa and Marina Fairwind

Age: 15 and 13

Gender: both are Female

Personality: Dessa is Extremely pragmatic with just a hint of rebellion, She has a sarcastic wit and prefers to wear masculine clothing. She serves as a sort of mentor to the her sister Marina. Marina is devoted to her sister, Dessa, towards whom she has strong feelings. She even gets jealous when she feels Dessa is paying attention to other People.


Power(s): Both of them have the same abilities, increased accuracy and weapons knowledge, increased intellignece and increased senses. This enables them to be better killers, they have great accuracy with their weaponry as well as enhanced sight, so many forms of camouflage dont work on them, even with camoufalge they could still probably hear your movements, but this is less likely in the middle of a gun-fight. Dessa has a better handle on her abilities than marina due to being older, marina suffers from headaches from toio much information in her head and her hearing is uncontrollably sensitive.

Weapons:
+Dessa: a shotgun with bayonet style attatchment
+Marina: a p90 with a Sig Sauer in backup

Bio: Cyborgs created for one thing only, killing, after escaping their conditioning camp they went on the run, dessa protecting marina everywhere they went. Now a few years on they have set up the gunner girls company and work as guns for hire, preferring not to have affiliation to none other than themselves and the highest bidder. but they do have a strong moral sense, Marina more than Dessa, so it would have to be a big sum of money to shut that moral sense up, everybody has their price after all.

Done with my character bio. It's above. Also, when I do start the role play, I'll definitely need someone to help me out, because following my character bio, her story would start with her being chased by the Black Hand. :D Can't wait for the role play to start now though. Seems really interesting.

My characters hunts down Black Hand operatives and helps those being chased by them so I can help ya out, we'll co-ordinate aye?
 
My character is a commander of the Black Hand, so she probably won't go into battle personally unless absolutely necessary. However, if you want, I can have her pursuing your character with a small battalion of soldiers, and Ezio's character can remove you while Amelia is distracted.

Wow, that would be really nice. I appreciate that. :D After all, my character really isn't cut out for any battles. Which only makes it more fun for me, I suppose. How am I going to survive an inevitable battle when I'm faced with one? ARGH. Anticipation! Monday! Come sooner!
 
My character's a bit like a hermit here, I suppose. He can fight, but he doesn't see it as need to. He pretty much just wants to do his own thing.

By the by, bad idea to ambush him in his own home. It will be costly.

Grah, being a hermit is going to be a pain unless I figure out an idea.... bleh. Now I have to actually work...

I'll edit this post after reviewing the templates. Tomorrow's not such a chaotic day and I can't sleep because of caffeine, so I may as well put my time to use. :wacky:
