Sleeping With A Blanket

I always go to sleep with my favorite (and soft!) white and blue comforter. ^_^
I guess it's more to do with the fact that it's irresistably soft that I keep it on throughout the year though. When it's hot, I just poke my limbs out the side, put a fan on, and it will instantly be fine again so I never reach the point where it's just unbearably hot that I'll HAVE to sleep without it.

I always have to sleep with a blanket of somesort. Even when it's hot in my room. I just sleep with one half of my body in and the other half out of the cover with the fan on full blast. I guess it's just a comfort thing. =/.

If I try to sleep without it I just toss and turn all night.

im not really attatched to a particular blanket or anything, but i cant sleep without one usually

more often than not, considering the temperatures of late i just end up spooning it rather than covering up with it :monster:

I always go to sleep with a blanket / cover of sorts.

I sometimes find though that when I wake up I've rolled it up into a sausage and have started hugging it. :hmmm: Maybe I must dream of wrestling crocodiles, or perhaps it is the lack of a Mrs. Argor expressing itself from time to time. This happens more often in the summer, but since I've recently got a new bed I've yet to wake up like this.

Like others have said, it feels wrong to go to sleep without a cover, even if it is hot. There have been times when sleeping on couches or while travelling where I have had nothing covering me, and it is rarely comfortable, and I do not feel secure and safe without something covering me.

I have a hang up about things grabbing my toes while I'm sleeping so I always try to use at least a sheet, even when it's super hot. It does get really hot here in the summer sometimes and we don't have an AC, so when it's in excess of 100 degrees, I have to just sleep with the lights on and my toes exposed. XD

I have a down alternative comforter, a plush electric blanket (that I haven't actually turned on in weeks since it's been fairly warm here lately), and my fairly thin flowery shabby chic quilt on this winter. I need the electric blanket during the wintertime so I can turn it on for when it gets really cold at night.

During the summer I put a duvet cover over the comforter and just sleep with the sheet and that.

I'm a pretty finicky sleeper. During the summer I'll go back and forth between kicking the covers off and pulling them back up again...and I HAVE to sleep with a fan going. I find if I don't sleep with at least some sort of blanket on I have horrible nightmares at night :damon:

I hear you there! I hate when my covers are tucked in at the ends. I usually untuck one side for myself. As far as sleeping with things? Not exactly, unless you consider my special pillow. I have a condition where have I hate to have a cool pillow. If my pillow gets warm... I usually just don't use it. So I bought a pillow 3 years ago that has some synthetic material in it that cools it and stores the cool air. It went caput about a month ago, and I had to buy a temperpedic type.. which I have a hard time getting use to since I usually don't like my head elevated that high.

I have that thing where I feel exposed if I sleep without some form of cover on top of me similar thing with jackets and going outside, I use to be afraid of going outside without a full sleeve length jacket no matter what the weather. If it's hot now though I'll just rock out with my t-shirt and in bed I'll hang one leg out or move the cover half way down my body.

Well, for some odd reason, I have to keep my feet covered at all times or else I can't sleep or I'll wake up in the middle of the night. My feet get cold very easily so it's so annoying to me to not have them covered at night.

And yes, no matter what the temperature, I will sleep with a gigantic comforter. Luckily, our air conditioning at home is awesome and keeps the house between 60-65 during the summer, making it easy to sleep with such a huge blanket. :andry:

Most of the time, I find it difficult to sleep unless I'm wrapped up inside something. When it's hot enough, it can be as thin as a bedsheet, which goes just over the mattress - I'm not too fussed about that. I'm more fussed about what's covered; I like the covers to reach from the bottom of my bed to the tops of my shoulders. I feel protected, somehow.

I was about 9 years old when this started. Someone a little older than me decided to watch Jonathan Creek whilst looking after me and in this episode the bed was stabbed. From that night on, I feared someone lurking into my room, wanting to kill me. :wacky:

There are days when I can't stand being tangled in covers, though... :hmmm: If I'm far too hot or restless, I'll throw them away, lift them back up, get up to straighten them out, have them just over my feet, just under my feet... :lew:

I've always had an aversion to sleeping without a comforter, it's a definite need of mine. I have to be completely covered up with a comforter, no matter what the temperature is outside. It could be 65 degrees out and I'd still have to be wrapped up. I think it's because I fear getting bitten by a bug or stung by something ... I need my legs and toes covered.

A blanket is a must for me. Not just any blanket, but a quilt, all year. When we lived in New York, we had our air conditioner blasting non stop (even during winter!) So we either froze at night or had a quilt over our whole body. This trend has continued since then. Non stop AC and quilt all year. :)

If I'm burning up, I can use a sheet-- I need a blanket or sheet even when the weather is hot because I can't stand waking up cold :rage: No matter how hot-- I will either partially have it on or the sheet. When the body is asleep it will become cold and there's no worse feeling. If it's winter time i'll double up or wear heavy duty clothing. :griin:

I also fiddle with my feet i need at least one leg out to balance out my body heat :wacky:
