Snow, Zell?

Okay besides the fact that the both of them use their fists for fighting, don't you think their personalities are similar? Do you think the makers of the game wanted to make these characters seem alike?
 
Maybe a little bit, just the "hard-headed" part and heroic part as well with no fear and much courage willing to take on the whole world by themselves. So then yea it seems so they are the same almost, only thing is leadership, Zell isn't much of a leader like Snow I think....
 
So-so. I love Zell, he reminds me of a little puppy, full of energy. Snow on the other hand is abit too loud and in your face for me. Gets annoying pretty fast also.
 
I loved Zell even if he was a lil....ugm not quite mentally advanced? I disslike Snow imensley If snow was based off of Zell they killed his charecter to smithereens because instead of being childish/hyper/endearing-Zell they made him,Snow, Whiney/annoying/TERRIBLY IRKSOME
 
Well they do sort of seem alike however, I personally like Zell better i dunno what it is about Snow but I don't nearly like him as much as I do with Zell. Though, I would've liked it better if Snow was more on his own. Now, i'm not saying they're exactly the same but ah idk what im saying xD. It could be truue that SE took ideas from Zell as a character and put it into Snow and its most likely true.
 
Yeah they are very similar and I've always though of this as soon as I was first introduced to Snow in the game. Zell is a lot cooler as the image of him suits him so much better. Seriously, Snow is this giant who is always full of energy and cocky, wears a beanie and a giant jacket...you would expect totally different, while Zell, who is more regular size to short, is full of energy and cocky, has tattoo's, spiked hair, always jumping around, and that's how you would expect someone with that type of personality.
 
I'm not real far into the game, I did notice this though. I prefer Zell over what I've seen of Snow so far. Was never a huge fan of Zell either, but still. :P

I can't really say anything besides that. I don't really know how people see qualities like this. If anything, he reminds me of Seifer.
 
I've always thought that Snow is a combination of Zell, Seifer and Irvine. He acts little like a ladies' man (Irvine), his clothes remind me of Seifer and personality is similar to Zell's. But yes, he reminds me most of Zell. I wonder if anyone else has thought this the way I do :)
 
Well, they both had blonde hair and a tattoo (zell=face and snow= L'cie mark)
But i cant really tell a similarity in personality. zell is wild etc and Snow is a hero. I cant really think of anything else to say to this.
 
a couple of FF13 characters remind me of older characters..
snow did remind me of zell at first i have to admit, and hope reminded me of a young tidus....
in a way its sloppy that they look too much like older favorites.

Hmm i feel like an idiot for not even thinking of this "whiney kid who clings to his mom" isnt something like that what Jeht said to Tidus?
Ah one day if we HOPE enough mabey they might make orriginal charecters again...cause the remake ones are killing me...............
 
I don't really see them as alike to be honest. Zell is immature in a childish way, whereas Snow is immature in a naive, altruistic kind of way. Zell is all about the fight for the fights sake, whereas Snow is all about the fight for the sake of saving everyone. Zell is a typical sidekick, and Snow is a typical hero. Zell needs direction and leadership, and Snow is a natural leader.

yes he is not that similar to zell

lead post says "excluding that they fights with fists"

but i feel that most of the post here are based on just that...
if uv played ff8, at least to disk 2, ud know that Snow is not like zell.

that said does Sazh remind any one of Laguna?
i think of a scene in ff8 when Laguna escapes from estar and tries to climb down a cliff but falls into the sea...
Sazh does the same thing in chapter 1 (lightning catches him in that anti gravity thing)
even get the fatherly vibe- ellone and dajh?
 
I don't see Snow similar to Zell at all. He is fighting with his fists, that is only similar to Zell. I don't see anything more that can be said that Snow has in common with Zell.
