I have come to notice, after playing many of the Final Fantasy games, that most of the female, generally the lead character, all look alike in some way or another.
Mainly, I'm talking about Tifa, Rinoa, Garnet, Yuna, Ashe and now Lightning.
I can't help but notice, how simalar these characters look.
Maybe I'm just crazy, but has anyone else noticed similarities in looks?
Maybe it's just the hair... or something more.
 
I can see the similarities in Tifa, Rinoa and Garnet. Not really in the last three though... Actually Yuna and Ashe look the same.
Lightning just looks like a dude, cloud to be precise.

So you're not completely crazy, some characters look the same as each other and some dont :)
 
Rinoa looks nothing like Tifa. :/ I kinda don't get where people see the resemblances other than their hair is the same color and their eyes are both brown. :wacky: Garnet and Rinoa maybe look the same. But Tifa kinda has her own look in the FF titles. If anything, she looks like Lulu('cept prettier and less gothic)

If anything, Aerith, Terra, Rosa, and Stella all look the same :wacky:
Aerith, Aerith <---> Stella
Aerith <---> Rosa, Rosa

Garnet and Rinoa... definitely a resemblance. Yuna looks like none if the other FF woman 'cept maybe Aerith or Rosa. Aerith and Stella... definitely.

And Lightning looks nothing like a dude. :hmph:

The women always look different to me, so I don't get it. :griin:
 
First off, Tifa isn't really the main of FFVII...like at all...:gasp:

Ashelia...look like Tifa? I don't know about that, other than hair style Tifa, Garnet and Rinoa have absolutely nothing similar to the other both physically and personality. They act different, speak different and dress different.

Yuna looks nothing like Tifa, down to the hair and personality. Tifa has a longer chin, thinner cheeks, and shorter forehead then Yuna.

Rinoa, she has more slanted eyes and a shorter nose, and cupped chin contrast to Tifas muchly.

Tifa and Lightning look nothing alike, point blanca.

Garnet looks much more like Rinoa that's my stand point there.
 
Well Tifa= Rinoa= Garnet............Ashe=Yuna
Rinoa just looks like Tifa's younger sister and Garnet just looks like an even younger sister.
As for Ashe and Yuna..........well they do look simaler but the FFX-2 Yuna looks more alike Ashe than the FFX one. (maybe its just the outfit).

Oh yeah and Lightning is just Lightning.........I don't think she looks like anyone probably Stella (only the hair) at the closest. Aint it funny how the PS1 FF characters look like the PS1 FF characters, same story for the PS2 and possibly PS3. :hmmm:

:ness: No she doesn't.........she just acts like one and probably has the physical capabilities of one.........Really I don't think there is a stronger female lead than Lightning.
 
First of all Tifa doesn't have much of a face in the game. Garnet and Rinoa look similar facewise as do Yuna and Ashe. Lightning doesn't look like any of em. I don't even see her cloud resemblance. But any way they could have been inspired by each other :hmmm:

Tifa in the cutscenes had an anime face and a disproportionate body as opposed to Rinoa. Her hair being the same color doesn't just link her to the other two...

But it's Tifa's original design and concept the others could have been based off if they even are connected. I'd say her in the game would most likely be the basis to Garnet since she had long brown hair. And even so in those cutscenes/movie she still doesn't look like Rinoa or Garnet in the face. Her hair is brown yes but face? - I just don't see it. ...:hmmm:...
 
I think Tifa and Dagger look similar. I also think that Ashe and Yuna almost look like identical twins. Rikku and that girl from FFXII kind of look a like too. So I get what you are saying but they all don't look like each other for example Yuna looks nothing like Dagger.
 
Later female designs in the series do seem to look more alike, though I think that's true for a lot of character models these days. Everyone's pretty and slender, so swapping a few hair sets and clothing around and you may well pass one character off as another.

The faces of Cecil, Kuja and Sephiroth seem to look alike - particularly so in Dissidia.
