So, what's inside the PS3 FFXIII bundle in Japan?

Prepare to be very jealous. In less than a week, Japanese gamers will be able to buy the special edition FFXIII PS3 bundle. What they will get is leaked recently.

Why there are 2 covers of the game is not entirely clear to me either. It could be that there may be two different variations of the boxart in Japan- your guess is as good as mine.

Not a big fan of the white PS3... I know that it has Final Fantasy XIII on it, but still. That PS3 is an eyesore to me. Everything else is pretty sweet though.

Too bad it's way too expensive for me. It's 250 GB also, I just noticed that. That's probably another reason for the price. I would never use that much space anyway, I think I'll even have trouble using up the 120 GB. I'll be pleased looking at my new slim anyway, when I finally get it

By the way, for a box, that one is pretty nice. I think I'd have trouble throwing it out.

i have an idea on the two boxes. i read i think on the ff wikia that ffxiii has at least 3 or 4 discs to play the game. can you say flashback? anyway thats just an idea. could be a disc of extra content or making-of stuff. guess we wont find out for a little while

Do you mean the game will comprise of 3 or 4 discs? As Japan has FFXIII on the PS3 exclusively, it will come only in one Blu-Ray disc. Only the international Xbox 360 version may come in a total of 3 (dual-layer?) DVDs.

The second box could have some developer content- but nothing on the box seems to indicate that, so I assume both have the same game disk but only with different boxart.

i'm not sure. i read it on the wikia. but yes, from what i understand, the game itself will comprise of multiple discs, like ff7-9. but i'm not 100% sure. i just read it and it hasn't been confirmed yet. but we will soon find out

Just be critical what you read on Wikia. Like Wikipedia, it isn't always accurate and may be misleading sometimes.

The Xbox 360 will come in multiple discs (about 3 as stated by Square Enix) and the PS3 version will come in only one. That's the power of gigabytes of storage space on a Blu-Ray disc!

Man I love the boxart, it looks awesome! I can't say I'm a fan of the white PS3 though, the pink lightning on it throws me off. But I must say that the controller looks pretty cool in white.

Wait... There's a pink Lightning on it? Man, sometimes it motherfucking sucks to be color blind. In that case though, I'd have to agree, the white PS3 is totally worth it.

Heh, the box art with Lightning on it has what I think discouraging plain text instead of the logo that was with it in the European cover, but then I think they'll receive the traditional cover - which is looking good! As far as the PS3 goes, I think this is one of the times that I've seen a PS3 in white colour, I've seen the white controller but the PS3 looks really nice and would stand out near the TV, but then I'm a fan of white.

Though I already have a 60gb version, capable of playing PS2 games, so wouldn't sacrifice it for design and memory size (which can be upgraded mind you).
