Why doesn't Brother get the love he deserves!?

He's always been my favorite character in X-2 by MILES!!!

(I seriously hate Buddy though. He's boring and he fails.)

But really! Brother's cute when he tries to act all manly in front of Yuna.

I can only speak for myself, but in terms of FFX-2, it's a little hard to like a guy who blatantly hits on his blood related cousin; i.e. Yuna >_>
 
He's Annoying everytime he speaks i feel like muting the volume and his hair is another story!!!

I despise Brother. First off, he's a perv. On his COUSIN, and doesn't seem to have a good relationship with Rikku. Also, his character design would be OK if he wasn't rendered with completely no detail. When they zoom up on his face I want to throw my PS2 across the room.

Also he uses more nonesnical [gah. sp.] elaborate hand movements than Tidus.

Hahahaha ffs i thought this was gunna be a thread with someone saying they had feelings for their brother...phew.
Uhm the guy just annoyed me tbh, it wasnt really his personality or anything it was more the accent it just sounded terrible and everytime he spoke i just wanted to ram a cushion down his throat.
 
He annoyed me, but I found him quite funny too! I had a problem with him fancying his cousin (but then again in the UK at least, cousins are legal...but we won't go into that now...) but some of the things he said I thought were really humourous

I liked it when Brother, Buddy and Shinra were doing that Gullwing dance. That was pretty funny :)
 
1. He acts like a degenerate with all of his dancing.

2. Id rather watch hippos mate than hear his voice.

3. He wants to bang his niece.

4. He is a comedic experiment gone wrong, at least in my eyes.

5. For X-2, I wish they changed his appearance a bit, lazy ass designers.
 
:ed:why dont you cut him sum slack he is trying his best to learn english and talk 2 yuna whats so wong with that ;(
 
@Maximillian- Yuna is his cousin, not his niece

@crazylloyd99- yes, he is trying to learn English to talk to Yuna, but his intentions aren't strictly- honourable shall we say?
 
Gah, I can't stand Brother, his voice is the only voice in the FF series that gets on my nerves. I found his hyperactive personality incredibly annoying too. He is quite easily my least favourite character in the entire FF series. >_>
 
I meant cousin, I sometimes mix that shit up

He would have been nice for occasional comedic entertainment, but he was given more attention than he deserved IMO
 
Well yes, but I do think he is overhyped with his excitability and the way he is loud, noisy, and fancies his cousin...
He might not be in every cutscene and only on the ship (which he isn't- Luca and Mushroom Rock spring to mind off the top of my head...) but he's still given a lot more time in the story than a non-playable character who isn't integral to the storyline usually gets...
 
Yes, that's his way, but what has his way got to do with the main story, apart from his fancying Yuna, and even that wasn't totally integral to the plot. Also, he's different to the Brother we met in FFX- not that that's totally important either cos they are all a little different.

What I mean to say is, there are plenty of more interesting bitpart characters I would have liked to see more of instead of Brother- Elma and Lucil for instance, I would have liked to see more of a development of their characters. I know it wouldn't have happened what with the whole Youth League/New Yevon storyline, but they are more interesting characters to me than Brother

Seconded :monster:

It goes without saying that pining after your cousin is both disgusting and weird, so that's another reason I couldn't stand the guy. If that was the creators' attempt at comic relief, they failed miserably.
 
I really can't stand Brother. He's just so irritating and plain stupid. Plus the whole being in love with his cousin is just wrong. I know it's legal to marry your cousin and all that, but it's still bloody disgusting.
