Soldier

I'd love to play it but i cant find a copy, and right now im preoccupied with FF12 and i hardly get the time to play that these days with work and stuff like that. The only other FF i played was FF10

But thanks for clearing up the Soldier 1st class info

I think the lowest rank in Soldier is 3rd class, then there´s 2nd class and finally 1st class soldier which only a few can reach.
 
And don't get caught up with the misinterpretation that the men in blue are SOLDIERs either. They are not members of SOLDIER, just a military for ShinRa. Cloud failed at getting into SOLDIER and ended up in there
 
In a nutshell, yes. SOLDIER are the elite fighters for SinRa, and the guys in blue are just the general, expendable military that they use. Then The Turks are the top-secret covert guys who do the dirty, under-the-table work
 
you do face members of soldier as wild encounters on the run up to the battle against Hojo after beating the Proud Clod, if you sense them they are called "1st SOLDIER"

You clearly have no idea how many people haven't played FFVII that go to an FF board. We call these people the ones who got caught into the series about when AC came out, and they are the only people who like the movie. Them, and Seph/Cloud fanboys. Bastards.

correct. The blue guys are just plain old military guys. They are not SOLDIER at all.

Now on a different note what does SOLDIER stand for seeing as how it's in all caps?

Also another question did anyone when they first played the game think Cloud was lying when he said to Aerith that he was SOLDIER first class? I honestly thought when he said first class that he was just making that up. Turns out first class is an actual rank lol.
 
im pretty sure they'll go through it more in detail in the upcoming game with Zack
 
do you reckon theyll have a spin off based on SOLDIER like what star wars did with clone commandos? or whatever they did? Hopefully they do go into more detail with SOLDIER... like training, eligibility etc... and they should show some scenes from the Wutai - midgar war, involvong SOLDIER
