-_- I'll try from time to time. Can there be a mid week reminder though? I've meant to enter a few in the past but I just forgotten about them completely until the voting came up.

We will be skipping SOTW 50 due to no entries this week.
 
Sorry for the delay. Lost my laptop last week due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. HDD died). Ordered a computer immediately and it just arrived and is working fine.

Now, since I was not here on Sunday to post up SoTW Guidelines, is anyone inclined at all to do one for this week even with the late start? If not, we could probably skip it.
 
I'm fine with skipping it. It's been a bit quiet. Might be better to start off with a fresh start in a week or two?

so apparently there are three constants in life- death, taxes, and the oversaturated, filter heavy abstract tribute style of the entries being submitted for these art contests. I understand you all have your personal tastes, but come on now, can't we push the boundaries a bit? like literally nothing has changed since I last entered one of these contests three years ago

tell you what why don't you post a contest and I'll whip up an animated sig in GIMP unlike anything you've ever seen here

For those of you who are interested in graphic design... and putting your work out there... :ryan: As you all know we took a short break from SOTW. We're back now. Let me fill you in on a few things...

CMS and SOTW:

Some might think, what the hell is a news front page gonna do for SOTW and us as graphic artist. Well, quite a lot. I'll be taking it up on myself to put out some nice articles here in a while, and trust me, they're worth the read if you're interested in the graphic artists on this forum. Signature of the week will be shown on CMS to promote the current guidelines, any votings, and of course to display your images on the front page! (If you have any concerns about this, please PM me personally.)

SOTW Winners:

You guys already received gil, but I also managed to put in a nifty little SOTW winner button that is wearable for the person winning that week's SOTW. I do wanna ask you guys to promote and encourage fellow graphic artists to enter. This is a free for all competition each week, meaning everyone with a bit of GIMP/Photoshop knowledge can enter.

What do you guys think of this idea? A lot of people, I noticed, asked for a mid week reminder? Are any of you up for this?

Please do not hesitate to request themes, give your input or ideas. If you wish to not display this publicly, feel free to send the Spira Moderators a PM about it and we'll get back to ASAP. Your input is more than welcome, and if you have any suggestions concerning themes, or just one you'd really like to see, avatar of the week pop in once in a while, see something wrong with the voting, etc etc. Let us know!

I'll try to get one in if possible, kinda in a rut atm so my Ideas are kinda cruddy ~_~ (omg I hate auto update -.- laggy as hell atm)

Anywho I'm all for the mailing list cause I for one always overlook the SOTW a PM reminder would help me out more honestly
 
A bit late with SOTW on my end guys, new guidelines will be up this friday, so that Jay can continue Jusu 27th again. ;) Morgalodia (Sorry Jay!!)
 
Is the SoTW #58 still open or will that be voted on this Saturaday too?
 
Galadín SOTW 58 is over it's due date. There were no entries. The new guidelines should've been up this saturday, but I was a bit late, so they will be up this weekend. Every saturday is what we aim for. :D

Sotw 59 guidelines will go up Saturday the 20th. Thats the only one currently running. (Not yet, but you get it... right? :wacky:)
