hey all

im not sure if this thread is elsewhere, i serachd it with the search function but couldnt find

what im asking is:

standard sphere grid or expert sphere grid

whats the difference? i remember using both and they were different.

why is the expert one expert? what makes it harder?

and in your opinion which one is best with advantages and disadvantages taken into account

The Help Desk is for site-related issues. The Help Booth is for Final Fantasy-related issues. As such:

EDIT:
To answer your question, the Expert Sphere Grid offers more diversity for players - you can alter the course of your characters more easily and have Tidus as your Black Mage and Lulu as your main Warrior, if you desired. In the Standard Sphere Grid, the course is more linear and it is more difficult, but not impossible, to stray from the characters' default path (you'll need a good few Key Spheres if you wanted to expand).

oh soz, it being christmas eve i was a bit distracted with the flashy lights.

soz ill make sure ill check next time

no harm done, dnt spose you know which one is best to use?

It's completely up to you. I find that it's easier to advance more quickly with the Expert Grid but that's partly down to the fact that I have a firmer idea of which path to take, since I'm now a more adept player. Overall, if you do the same number of battles, your characters will advance very similarly to how they would upon using the Standard Grid.

Personally myself I just started taking my characters wherever all over the board. I saw something I wanted them to learn, and I aimed for it. In the end though as Vayne said, most of your characters were learn the same things as everyone else. Your stats will be pretty high, your abilities will be owned by multiple characters in your party and such.

Sure Yuna's a White Mage, Lulu's a Black, Rikku's a thief, etc...but i say maybe try and learn their main spells first, and then go of course a bit and mix things up across the Sphere Grid.

The standard grid is easier. The characters go in their set paths and basically it keeps them as one class.
The Expert grid is more fun, it allows for unusual character development, such as Auron as the white mage etc.

thanks guys, i always wondered.

it sbeen a while since iv plaid, my disc broke, bad times

but got new one for xmas, good times

so im gonna start playing now XD, its been a year since i last plaid so ill probs use the standard sphere for now.

thanks again

I am trying to unlock the entire spheregrid for each character. So that way they learn all the abilities and will be uberpowerfull xD. I'm doing this because I want this game 100% completed
