Does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy? I know about ebay and amazon and those places but does anyone know of any place else? Does this site have a place that does that sort of thing? Please some help?
 
Well you might wanna try www.gamefaqs.com or something along those lines, keep in mind it's not an actual strategy guide, but a written out one... But a lot of the people that tend to do those tend to put more effort than the typical guidebook though imo.
 
It's out of print, so you're going to need to get it either in a used book store, or an online shop. eBay is where I got mine, you've just got to watch out for the people who want $50 for it, only because it's out of print. There's also Borders Marketplace, just google it.

Otherwise, just play the game and if you run into trouble use the FFVIII Help Booth forum in here. I'm sure someone will be able to help you when you're stuck.
 
There is gamefaqs, if you type Final Fantasy VIII walkthrough you will get tons of guides, not actual strategy guides but it's just the same, also on youtube you can find complete video walktroughs for Final Fantasy VIII, they're awesome really i garantee you won't get stuck in the game if you follow them. Just type Final Fantasy VIII walktrough on youtube and select the part you need to watch.

Although if it's your first time playing i recommend you do it alone for the first time, and if you run into trouble you can also ask in the help booth;)

I actually have a Final Fantasy VIII strategy guide, and it does not cover as much as the walktroughs i found on the internet do.
 
Yeah the internets your only bet. Either Ebay to see if anyone is selling one. Or the thousands that are scattered throughout the internet.
 
I got my copy at a local Hastings store. I just got it last year, and I didn't really have to search that hard. I also know that Hastings does special order stuff too, in case you didn't want to buy it online. Might check into that. =)
 
That's not true at all. There's a copy of it at a Barnes and Noble in Elizabethtown, Kentucky that's been sitting there for the past three years. I've considered buying it before, but I never had. So, I would recommend you go to a backwater but large city, and look in their bookstore, and you might just find it. I'm not lying, I swear. Maybe you could ask the poeple at a Barnes and Noble near you if they could send it to you.

Because, honestly, if it's out of print, someone needs to buy it.

It's brand new, too.
 
I actually got mine years ago at GameStop, but the guide has been a lot harder to find now, so the internet is probably a better option. Gamefaqs is a good place to check out. Sometimes the ones posted there are better than the actual guide. If you want to buy it though, there's always eBay. Or Amazon if they still have it.
 
I got mine from game.co.uk, but I don't think that they do it anymore so you might want to try the square website as I think you can get one from there. If not then gameFAQ will be the best bet
 
I actually just bought a copy from Barnes and Noble online at their used and out of print store. I bought the copy for $2.75 and because it was so cheap I bought the express shipping for 6.99 so all together I paid $9.74. Everywhere else I looked everyone wanted basically the original price for it (including shipping). If I ever need to buy another strategy guide or something that's where I'm going to try first and that's where I would advise everyone else to look as well :)
 
GameStation are selling them at the moment for £4.99
and yes it's the FF8 guide, I only know cause I bought one myself didn't think they would still sell em,

Unless it's old stock from the back?
 
I bought mine at Barnes and Noble Just last year, and mine STILL has copies, so try looking there. It may be out of print, but some stores still have it in stock
