Something FFF’s cat-lovers might like. Maybe. A game where you play as a cat and slink about, claw at furniture, etc. With a few twists.

I know nothing else about this game or its development history beyond what is in this trailer, but I thought it was cool. While they've added weird robots, etc, to it (so that it isn't just a cat simulator), at least the cats aren't singing and have human faces, etc.

I remember when they revealed it last year my first thought was ".hack//G.U. did it first :mokken:"

(the cat is so cute though)

I completed this recently and really enjoyed it.

I'm not the sort of person who goes wild over cats specifically, but I like any good animal, cats included. Being able to play as a cat in a relatively realistic manner is quite a fun experience. Being able to slink through narrow gaps, climb fences, knock over paint, ruin the board games of robots, and so on, is something I will not forget in a while.

And meowing on command, of course. I unlocked the trophy for meowing (50 times? I cannot recall the exact number) within twenty minutes of play.

Despite playing a cat, a friendly robot is able to translate the robot language so that the player can understand what is going on. The cat itself just picks up the vibes, I guess.

The sci-fi twist to this kept me interested and while the plot was predictable, this is one of those games where it really didn't matter. A cat probably wouldn't care about a predictable plot, so why should we? We should just enjoy tripping robots up and purring at them.

Oh I forgot this thread existed. I loved Stray! So did my cats, as indicated by the amount of times I had to scream at them to stop trying to attack my TV. I loved every little detail, I wish there was even more options for mischief! B-12 was also freaking cute, we ended up getting a plushie of him! I was hoping it would be small like him but it was actually quite large - I was wanting to hang him to make him look like he was floating. Oh well, still cute! Maybe I'll just try and figure out how to get a 3D printing of him (which is equally as funny if you think about it)

Lmao I totally was expecting a different outcome in the plot to be honest with you. With the security in the upper level with the robots I initially thought that the robots were the ones that ended up killing the human race. But the last section you explore where the humans last were was kind of satisfying with how clean it seemed vs the slums you trek through the majority of the game. I was kinda sad that your buddy sacrifices himself in the end though :sad2:

Anyway, I loved this game. It wasn't too hard, it was kinda creepy but still fun to play. My kid enjoys watching me play it and even likes to play just to be able to run around as the cat. Every time I make the cat meow my cats are always perking up trying to figure out where the other cat is. And the scratching on the rugs, walls, doors, etc is really satisfying.

Plus one of the robots is named after me :smartass:

I stole this from Liv lmao

I really enjoyed stray, it was a nice change of pace from the usual kind of game and obviously playing as a cat is always gunna appeal to me. Annoying my own cats with the on demamd meowing was good too. The ending was sad though wasn't really expecting that!
