Oooh. Yep, Saevitians would probably look to create something as advanced and more portable than a smartphone, but since they don't favour non-combat related technology, it makes sense that something like this will still be relatively backwards.
I'll make a call to the Wild Card soon! I'm pretty sure Marko spent his time in Saevitia growing up after the incident with Ralph before moving to politics for his grand plan. Naturally they may have mocked him for it, but I dont know their reaction now xD.

Well, then I guess some things you oughta know about this Wild Card.
Although he's powerful, he's rather wilful. He's got a sort of childish humour and does many things to his fancy (e.g. making the "Joker" tier, bringing Rosetta in). Whether out of pure curiosity, mild hedonistic tendencies, or some sinister motivations, no one really knows
Guess that's something I'll leave to you to play around with.
But he does share the intense hatred of humanity, so they'll still be mocking Marko for it, at least on the surface. Though no doubt they'll be impressed and very amused that an Arc became the leader of humanity. Amused enough to keep it secret just to see how everything will play out once it's discovered.

This I wish to play out with his relations to his people and his plan to balance the scales with humanity by causing their end. I am unsure of Marko's place in Saevitia before his ambition went on but his powers of
must have earned him some tier in the country before eventually leaving. I'm pretty sure he calls in from time to time since his election 3 years back to check on Saevitia in general and crack a joke or two with the current Wild Card. 8)

Since it's three years back (or more) when he decided to leave, I suppose a Shuffle would have happened in that time (if not a Reshuffle) so either way, whatever seat he previously had, it would already be taken by someone. So it's up to you really, of course, I suppose it'll be one of the Suite Aces, maybe the Ace of Spades?
And of course, I'll assume immediately he trumps the current Ace of Spades in combat strength, given the fact my character bested the Ace of Spades in a Duel (which caught the Wild Card's eye). It is a stony grey in colour- although, the dye is quite noticeably faded. A similarly coloured bag-flush against his back. Wears scabbard on the waist, which is made of cheapish leader.
Noteworthy Features: None particularly. Scar from splitting his head as a kid. That's about it.

Highly stylised sword. Wielded with a single hand. Somewhat Celtic/middle-eastern in design. Photo will below to aid description.
No particular history to the sword. It was simply a decorative piece to his house. Has some significance to Nexus due to an obvious connection. Using his Lightning manipilation, Nexus has resharpened the edge to make it a viable weapon.
Magic: “Matter distortion”.
- Drawback: Potential for self-harm if over used; not very suited for long range battle. Nexus' skill with the ability is not refined, so there is some time and power wastage between matter shift.

Born to your average Crysta family. His mother was a nurse; his fact a simple government office worker. Has two siblings: A younger sister and brother. Both are only in their late childhood- 9-12 years of age.
Nexus lived in a generally happy family. No large strife or conflict- except for, perhaps, some teenage angst and rebellion. This is actually how he gets infected.
While he didn't have many close friends, those he did were generally older. As such, he decides to go on a road trip to one of the more “dangerous” infected areas. Stupid ideas from a stupid gang of adults.
When they move closer to the quarantined zone, Nexus's wanders a bit too closely and is infected.
He doesn't realise till he gets home. A week after this trip, the power manifests. Nexus panics and- through lack of control- shorts out the fuses of the electrical machines in the house.
Following this one incident, Nexus decides to move on. Even though Crysta was a peaceful city, the capital was always growing in strength. It didn't help that his mother wasn't particularly fond of Arcane Gifted either. He becomes a wanderer, deciding to head towards any sort of safe haven for Gifted.

Explanation
Nexus can utilise your average Lightning manipulator abilities. However, compared to the average Lightning manipulator, Nexus is truly gifted. His bolts are quite powerful, he can use the ability for extended periods of time. It's literally like electricity has become a part of him. He, however, has very little in the aptitude to dabble in other elements. In return, Nexus has access to some more... unique abilities.
Using Lightning as a base, Nexus is able to distort the matter in the element itself. While not sure of the specifics, it's thought that this ability utilises the static already present in the air-hence the time-out to gather energy. As such he considers the natural electrical element his“Gas” state.
His unique abilities come from the ability to switch “states”. States are simply how Nexus refines his magical lightning. Through some form of transmutation, Nexus possesses the ability to actually alter the matter of his lightning to give it a physical shape. The following are his two other options for matter manipulation.
"Semi-solid" .
luminous blue in colour(Liquid isn't exactly correct when explaining this;much more correct when referring to the movement style) This allows Nexus to grip objects and fling them around. The spell itself causes the magical lightning to form tendril-like appendages. My character can use these to grip projectiles, weapons and simply attack with them. Have a very maximum spread of between 10-20 metres(Depending on what's considered normal range). The tendrils can be extended from any of the limbs, or the shoulder blades. They can be used for acrobatics and general travel. As of his intro to the roleplay, the most my character can create is two at a time.
"Crystalline/Solid:"
Green in colour. This allows my character to crystallise the lightning he's manipulating, creating a material which is tough, sturdy and suitable for shielding and weaponry. The most draining form to create, but the magic itself is static, so the items created could- technically- wear on for a long time. Nexis will use this both for defence and offence. (Weaponry begins to disintegrate when it leaves the 10-20 metre buffer zone).
When switching from semi-solid and crystalline, there's a buffer zone wherein the magic is unusable: 4 seconds for semi-solid, and 8 for crystalline(Again, can be scaled accordingly). Since gaseous is the original state of the magic(And the base from which my character will create the other two forms), its transformation into the others is relatively quick(1-3 seconds).

Hot damn this is the fastest RP I've ever seen grown in the shortest span of 2 days! I applaud all those who participated, thanks so much for helping me in reviving Ralph Faiz and bringing Science and Magic together.
