Nintendo has recently released a new fighting game known as Super Smash Bros Ultimate at Nintendo E'3 2018 Conference. Here is the trailer of the game. Enjoy!

Really looking forward to this one honestly. Mainly for the fact that they're bringing back everyone. I've always been a fan of Smash and even though some are better than others they're all fun in their own way so I can't see this one disappointing us.

I guess I'm excited but also a little disappointed as having everyone back might mean less character slots. I predict that we will get at least 6 newcomers and the rest will be dlc maybe. The graphics and new animations really are great. They changed a few fighters too and this looks pretty competitive from what I have seen. I guess we will have to see. It's pretty amazing that they finally added Ridley but it is crazy to me to that really added Daisy out of all possible new Mario representatives. I hope that echo fighters will be their own thing though.

A few new information has been recently released about the upcoming fighting game Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Here they are:

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Has Transforming Stages

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate boasts a massive roster that's only growing bigger as we approach the release date. But it's not just in the character select screen where you'll be spoiled for choice. The game contains a ton of stages too, and they can actually transform in the middle of a match.

During a Smash Ultimate-themed Nintendo Direct, game director Masahiro Sakurai showed off the feature, in which a battle took place in a Metroid-themed stage. A flash of light appeared and then it became a stage themed after the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. You will be able to choose when to turn on the feature using the "Stage Morph" option.

Sakurai also addressed just how many stages will be available in the game. It has more than 100 in all, but counting stage variants he says it's more than 300. All stages can be selected from the very beginning, and they'll be listed in the order in which they appeared in the series.

Nintendo seems to be packing as much as it can into for this "Ultimate" iteration of Smash Bros. The roster itself includes every character to ever appear in the series along with a handful of new ones--Simon and Richter Belmont, King K. Rool, Chrom and Dark Samus Echo characters also debuted during today's presentation. It also has more than 800 songs, both original tracks and homages to classic music. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 7.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Castlevania's Simon And Richter Belmont

Nintendo kicked off today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct presentation by revealing not one, but two brand-new characters: Simon and Richter Belmont from the Castlevania series. The new fighters were introduced via a grim cinematic trailer, which began with Luigi exploring a dark castle filled with supernatural monsters.

Just as in Konami's classic series, Simon uses many of his signature items in battle, including his iconic whip. According to director Masahiro Sakurai, Simon's whip is a bit slow and leaves him vulnerable, but it has a longer average reach than other fighters and can be controlled freely. Simon can also throw axes and crosses, as well as use holy water in battle. His Final Smash, meanwhile, is the Grand Cross; it stuffs opponents into a coffin and launches them.

Simon's stage is Dracula's Castle, which Sakurai notes is the darkest stage in the game. Attacking candlesticks around the level will drop items. Iconic Castlevania bosses and enemies such as Medusa and Flea Man also appear on the stage, as will Dracula--although Nintendo is keeping the conditions that make him appear a mystery. The stage also features 34 new and classic music tracks.

Richter Belmont, meanwhile, is an Echo Fighter based on Simon. He has his own distinct voice, appearance, and animations, but his moveset is similar to his ancestor's. Another iconic Castlevania protagonist, Alucard, also appears in Ultimate as an Assist Trophy, and his moves are inspired by Symphony of the Night.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches for Nintendo Switch on December 7. We learned a ton of other details about the game during the new Direct presentation and got a look at several other new fighters, including Chrom, Dark Samus, and the much requested King K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country. You can catch up on all the news in our roundup of every announcement from today's Direct.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Chrom And Dark Samus As Echo Fighters, Here's How They Work

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct delivered a ton of new details about the upcoming fighting game, kicking off with the announcement of Simon and Richter Belmont as playable characters. Those weren't the only new fighters introduced during the broadcast, however; Nintendo also revealed that Fire Emblem Awakening's Chrom and Metroid Prime 3's Dark Samus are joining the roster.

Like Princess Daisy and Richter Belmont, both Chrom and Dark Samus are Echo Fighters--clones of other characters already on the roster with their own appearance and slightly tweaked moves. Chrom is based on Roy, while Dark Samus is, naturally, an Echo Fighter of Samus, boasting many of the same abilities as the bounty hunter.

Nintendo also revealed a few more details on how Echo Fighters work. Players have two different options for displaying the characters on the roster; they can either be laid out as separate fighters on the selection screen, or stacked atop the character they're based on. If the latter option is chosen, players will be able to change between the fighters simply by pressing a button.

That wasn't the extent of the new character reveals during the Smash Bros. Direct. Nintendo closed out the presentation by revealing one more new addition to the roster: Donkey Kong's much-requested nemesis, King K. Rool. The villainous croc is an entirely original fighter, boasting moves inspired by his appearances in the Donkey Kong Country series. He can throw his crown like a boomerang and deflect attacks with his...ample stomach.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches for Nintendo Switch on December 7. The game features the largest selection of playable characters and stages in the series to date, with nearly 70 announced fighters thus far and more than 100 stages. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Donkey Kong Villain King K. Rool As New Character

Nintendo released a Nintendo Direct presentation that focused on the upcoming Switch game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Among many other pieces of news, the company announced that Donkey Kong Country villain King K. Rool will be a playable character in the game--the croc's first appearance in the series.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to land on Nintendo Switch on December 7. In addition to many other characters announced in the Nintendo Direct, it will also feature every character who's ever appeared in the entire series, giving it by far the biggest roster of any Smash Bros. game in history.

King K. Rool made his first appearance in the 1994 Super Nintendo game Donkey Kong Country. He is the leader of a gang of crocodilian enemies known as Kremlings, and one of his eyes is veiny and bulging. He's a fairly goofy villain, using tactics like pretending to be defeated to get a leg up on the Kong crew. In Ultimate, he'll be able to throw his boomerang-like crown at opponents and use a blunderbuss that can fire cannonballs.

Other new characters appearing for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate include Castlevania's Simon Belmont and Richter, who will be Simon's echo, meaning he'll control similar to Simon. Also announced was Dark Samus, an echo character for Samus who first appeared in the Metroid Prime series.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Hero DLC Has Arrived

The Hero from Dragon Quest XI was released recently as a DLC character. His alternative costumes are the heroes from Dragon Quest III, IV, and VIII. Each of his special attacks are inspired by different spells from the Dragon Quest series. His neutral special fires off a Frizz that can be powered up to Frizzle or Kafrizz depending on how long you charge it; his side special unleashes Zap spells; and his up special unleashes Woosh spells. However, you won't be able to use these spells if your MP gauge is too low.

The Hero's down special, meanwhile, is the Command Selection. This pulls up a command menu just as you'd see in a true Dragon Quest game. The commands are randomized each match and allow you to select a spell or other move, such as Oomph, which buffs Hero's attack power for a limited time, or Kaclang, which will temporarily turn him metal. Between all of these possible attacks, Sakurai says the Hero has the highest number of moves of any character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Arriving alongside the Hero is a new stage called Yggdrasil's Altar, which is based on a location in Dragon Quest XI. Occasionally a chest will appear on the stage; if you open it, you may either receive an item or be attacked by a Mimic. Additionally, a handful of new Dragon Quest Spirits are being added to the Spirit Board. A couple of new Mii Fighter costumes based on the Dragon Quest series will be available for purchase as well; these will each run for 75 cents apiece.

The Hero is included as part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighters Pass, which costs $25 USD and grants owners access to five DLC characters as they're released, including the already available Joker from Persona 5 and the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie. Each DLC fighter can also be purchased individually for $6 USD and comes with a brand-new stage, an assortment of music tracks drawn from their series, and a handful of new unlockable Spirits.

The aforementioned Banjo-Kazooie are the next DLC characters coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The bear and bird duo are slated to arrive sometime this fall, although no release date has been announced just yet. Nintendo still has two other unannounced fighters on the way to the game by February 2020.

Releasing alongside the Hero today is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's 4.0 update, which adds a few new features to the game, including a Final Smash meter time limit and a Very Easy difficulty setting for the World of Light adventure mode. The patch also introduces an Online Tournament mode, which will occasionally host special event tournaments, as well as a new spectate mode that allows you to try to predict who will win a match; guess correctly and you'll earn tokens that you can then exchange for items. You can rewatch the Hero presentation above.

Terry Bogard Is Now Available On Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In a recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation, series creator Masahiro Sakurai revealed that DLC fighter Terry Bogard is out today. Terry Bogard joins Ultimate after originally appearing as the brawling protagonist in 1991's Fatal Fury for Neo Geo. Much like Street Fighter's Ryu, Terry fights a lot like a traditional fighting game character compared to the rest of Ultimate's roster. He always faces his opponent, and special moves like Burning Knuckle, Crack Shoot, and Rising Kick can even be performed using their original command inputs for greater strength, benefiting those who still maintain that muscle memory. The rest of Terry's moveset will be familiar to anyone who's ever played with the blonde fighter in any number of Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games before.

The Somersault Kick is a new move for Ultimate, but everything else will be instantly recognisable. He can even parry into a counter attacking uppercut, and cancel into special moves that lead to devastating combos. There's also a shorter range Power Wave that he can use when airborne. Terry's Final Smash begins with Triple Geyser before transitioning into Power Dunk and Buster Wolf, combining three special moves into one powerful attack. He also adopts a new mechanic for Ultimate, whereby a "Go!" icon will appear next to his attack damage once it rises above 100%, allowing him to use more powerful versions of Power Geyser and Buster Wolf as super special moves that are high risk, high return.

Terry Bogard's Challenger Pack launches today, November 6, for $6. He's also included as part of the $25 Fighter's Pass, which still has one more unrevealed fighter to add to the game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Byleth and new Mii Fighters

The fifth DLC character from the first fighters pass has finally been revealed. Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses joins the roster. The 35 minute presentation shared loads of details about Byleth's playstyle, along with a few surprises like new Mii costumes and even details on the next Fighters Pass. You can choose between male and female Byleth just like in Three Houses, and the Smash Bros. version of the character has access to a wide variety of Heroes Relics as weapons. Byleth will be available for $6 individually, or as part of the $25 Fighters Pass on January 28, 2020.

Naturally, the new character will come with a new stage as well. For Byleth, that means the Garreg Mach Monastery, the main setting of Three Houses. The stage features a number of familiar sights from the monastery, each populated by members of one of the titular three houses.

The Marketplace is occupied by Blue Lion House, the Reception Hall by Black Eagle House, and the Bridge by Golden Deer House. There's also a Cathedral setting that houses some non-House members. The locations cycle every few minutes, and there are new Fire Emblem music tracks to accompany the action. A new Spirit Board will also include House leaders and other popular Three Houses characters.

Alongside Byleth, a few set of new Mii fighter costumes will be added as well. The headliner is Cuphead, a new Gunner Mii Costume that changes the look of your Mii completely and includes a new Floral Fury music track. Other costumes include Altair (Swordfighter), Mega Man X and MegaMan.exe (Gunners), and a Rabbids hat. Each of the new costumes will be available for .75 cents each and will be releasing in the same date as Byleth.

New Fighters (Pass) Incoming!

With Byleth marking the end of the first Fighters Pass, a new fighters pass will be coming soon as director Masahiro Sakurai previously announced in the Terry Bogard character presentantion. The second fighter pass will include six characters instead of five and will have a cost $30. All six of the new characters will be released by December 31, 2021.
