I heard a rumor there's a surprise guest that comes in at the start of week 2 and basically makes the Survivor participants' lives a living Hell...

I guess to have that kind of impact they'd have to have some kind of military training. But I doubt people in the military would have time to play some online game of Finaru Fantaji forum. So it would have to be a General, or someone who just left. However, it could be like most rumours, that is, factually inaccurate.

What are the rules regarding flaming and trolling and racism and sexism and all that?
As you know I am close to being banned so I would like to know.

i am not too worried about this person who will come and make life a living hell. i will just avoid the site.

Also, by signing up. What exactly have I gotten into? :hmmm:

You are basically going be on a team and try to get as many points as possible for your team in a series of competitions. What you signed up for is exactly that, and like Jim and Hal have said, this game usually gets a little bit more flamed and trolled, so really don't take anything anyone says personal.

You are also locked out of the rest of the forum for as long as you are still in the competition.

Team based work for the most part. You can see how they worked in the past by looking through the archives.

can we please not have the awful post coordination challenge this year? we've had it every year and every year it's always been a disaster that no one has enjoyed

I like post coordination. It involves forcing your stupid members to not fuck up, a hard task.

By stupid I mean ones who can't read good. Or write good either.

Glad to see you're in The Welsh Paddy ! With that said, we're probably gonna end up on different teams. Either way, it's gonna be a unique experience. I hope my luxury items are good picks! XD Anyway, I'm looking forward to Survivor (Series ;) )

also, for teams can we not be put into teams with people we're not supposed to get along with? how about teams of friends, or do teams by join date? that way you get people together who get along, which means stronger teams and stronger competition between them. the whole thing of trying to create drama between team members by having people together who aren't supposed to get along is old and doesn't work at all

im curious to know what it is that survivor participants do in the privacy of their bedrooms.

there is this thing they do called "posting" where one man types an electronic letter which is then digitally placed into de otha man's electronic hand.

:jim:

That hasn't really been the case the past few years, though it might seem that way. Agreed, the 'getting along' stuff is old.

There's a few criteria in how teams are divided, mostly has to do with seniority (they're a lot more competitive and usually more active) and members doing it for the first time. It wouldn't work too well if all veterans are put together in one team, with the Survivor newbies on the other. Not that we're doubting their capabilities with the challenges, but not knowing how Survivor operates... it'd be disastrous. You have to understand that hosts want to see this whole thing work, and nothing is more frustrating than challenges not going through until the end like you planned for weeks because a few didn't have anyone who's familiar with the challenges, to lead them. Sure, it's all about fun for all the participants, and hosts will try to give them that. I don't know how the teams are being divided, but that's up to the three hosts. Maybe they'll do something different this year.

Tia and I will be around to do whatever needs to be done in the acp, but if there's any questions or misunderstandings about the challenges, we can try to clear things up. For the most part though, we're hands off with this one. We don't know what the plans are for challenges, but I'm sure it'll be awesome!
