~+Tales of FFF+~The Role Play

Zeria growled and touched up her appearance.

"I don't care what you say, I'm going to that masquerade"

She headed out for the door and moved through the shadows to get back to the masquerade. She arrived and smiled, heading inside and leaning against a wall, watching everyone dance.

Applause.

The White Mage curved her lips, concealing a proud grin for her master. He was doing well considering the recent events. Retrieving the Silverwing Castle was a victory for all, especially for Vegnya. It was because of Lord Argexis that her pride was spared, saving the mage a lifetime of shame and sorrow. She was truly grateful for the young man as he even made sure that she retained her position as one of his chief advisers.

"Sister!" Faith prodded. "Stop fantasizing, and make it happen."

Vegnya stepped back and watched her sister perform sensual movements with a masked dance partner. Amazingly, despite how non-aristocratic the dance was, it matched with the tone of the music. She wouldn't, however, express approval of Faith's mask. It had a black color as expected, but it looked too much like Vegnya's casual wear. Practically, a carbon copy.

"Come on, sister!" the black mage swooned, beckoning with a lazy finger. "We can make it a threesome." Even Vegnya could see it in the eyes of the dance partner. There was no way that she would please this man with incestuous displays of affection.

"Behave!" Vegnya finally snapped. Without another word, she stepped out of the dance floor and proceeded to the snack tables. Angrily she snatched a small wine glass and began taking small sips of the bitter-sweet red liquid, anxiously pacing back and forth. She mostly kept to herself, even while eliciting stares from many of the guests. After all, she was a young lady of aristocratic class. She was barely twenty years of age, blessed with silky white blond hair and fair skin. She had been busy acting like a middle-aged mother to her sister to even realize that she was a marvelous sight to behold.

"Oh, Faith," she sighed painfully after killing the rest of her drink in one gulp. "I'm only your sister." Vegnya took another glass after discarding her empty one. She was about to take a sip until she caught sight of a strange guest. A woman with red hair, someone she recognized. With nothing better to do, the white mage approached the guest and raised a hand to greet her.

No response, but Vegnya had been in situations like these before. Now for the next step:

"I'm quite happy for Master Argexis. Accomplishing so much at a very young age. My, doesn't he make a good dancer? You know, just between you and me, I think he and Lady Shenorai make an excellent couple. Don't you agree,. . .S-Class SeeD Zeria Iiyasei?"

Zeria looked at Julius and Shenorai dancing together, feeling a pang of jealousy.

"Why bother me with such nonsense? I don't care anymore. It's not like anyone needs me around here anyway. I'm useless"

She gave a "hmph", then her eyes drifted back to Julius and Shen. She was really bothered now, and had even just shed a tear.

"Damnit Zeria, get ahold of yourself!"

The White mage flinched. She studied the young SeeD, hoping the scrutiny would lead to clues on the cause of her foul behavior. Unfortunately, a mask made it more difficult to examine any facial features that could indicate the suspected emotions.

Vegnya considered the inferiority complex idea, but from an S-Class? Weren't the principles of leadership, self-esteem, and pride taught in the Gardens anymore?

"Forgive me, Miss Zeria. I do not mean to vex you with such trivial matters. Is something troubling you?"

"Please forgive me. There have been some troubling matters as of late that bother me from deep within. I'm sure you will know in due time, but right now, it is not something I wish to discuss"

Zeria was shaking as she watched Julius and Shen dance. It was really upsetting to watch them both so happy together, when Zeria could never make him smile like that.

"I'm not the person for him anyway...they'd be much happier without me..."

Seeing everyone begin to Dance FFGuy wished he could once more take his human form but remembering his curse he sighed and flew outside to the castle grounds to think and ponder over the change of events

Danny hadn't noticed that the masquerade was starting but when the music blared he grabbed a mask and thrust it on. He stuck to the edge of the room hoping not to be bothed but failed when a young beautiful girl of 14 asked him to dance

"Would you care to dance?" The girl asked him as Danny sipped a champayne he found.

"Umm I'm a bit busy right now sorry." He told her

"Yeaaah you sure do don't you. Just standing there sipping a bit of champayne!"

"Sorry...." The girl shrugged then grabbed his hand and dragged him into the middle of the room next to antoher couple he guessed were called Shenorai and Julius from what they were saying to each other. The girl grabbed Dannys right hand and put it on her waist and grabbed his other in her own.

"So what's you name?" She asked as they danced slowly together

"Danny... And yours?"

"Isabelle Vernet Clara Terraangel" She smiled "Do you have a last name?"

"Renet." He moved slightly and tripped into the other couple

I thought you were unconscious, then. I was worried about you..."

"Sorry" He said to them hoping he hadn't peeved them off

FFGuy emerged from the roof he previously smashed to gain entry and began to think when he landed in the garden

FFGuy: what is going on? why are so many surrendering to the darkness, I am a prime example that the dark is no place for those who fight for goodwill. Why Zeria, why did you betray Julius, you may think he needs you not but to fight him, could you bear your blade to your masters throat, could you slay your friend and lifelong ally?

knowing that dwindling in thought would not help things he began to clear his mind, hoping an answer would appear

Zeria smiled at Lord Samael, taking his hand and walking out to the dance floor with him.

"I warn you, I'm not the best dancer in the world. I can't do anything fancy"

Behind her mask, all of her jealousy towards Shen and Julius was hidden. Her eyes followed them, but snapped away for a moment, so she could look back at Lord Samael.

"Shall we dance then?"

FFGuy began to search his innermost thoughts to see if there was a way to find Zeria, give her one last chance to return.... he did not wish to fight a friend but his loyalty to Julius meant that any who ally to the dark must perish.... at least that was what he told himself

"Shall we dance then?"

FFGuy: What, that voice... it's Zeria's!

FFGuy heard no more speech but longed to find her... so near yet so very distant.... maybe she was with the man.... maybe he could end it!

'I wonder how the dance is going? I might as well enter since I didn't sense any evil here.'

Arthvader Went to put on his formal clothes and entered the Masquerade, where he saw many of his familiar friends. He even notices Shen and Julius, dancing. He then headed towards them.

Arthvader "Hey there, Shen, Julius, It's been a while. How are you two doing?"

Suddenly, Julius noticed that something was troubling Shenorai. After dancing for a few minutes, the song has ended and everyone stopped. Julius released Shenorai and the bowed respectfully, following this act of courtesy with a gentle smile.

"What's wrong Shenorai?"

Out of the sudden, Julius remembered that his own twin brother, Lucious fell in love with Shenorai on the very first day that they fought against each other. He felt jealous, seeing how his brother has taken everything from him. A deepening hatred aroused within his now tainted soul, something within him was born. Even though he felt that overwhelming storm of emotions, Julius remained as jovial and charming as usual.

"Well I leave you now Lady Eterna. There are some issues that I must attend to."

Julius bowed once again and turned around. Suddenly, something caught his attention; it was Zeria. A more powerful burst of emotions, greater than before, began to fill his body. He didn't knew if he should feel joy or hatred towards her, he was confused. Julius loved Zeria more than he could ever possibly hate her.

Without hesitating, Julius headed towards Zeria, avoiding the crowed that seemed to be ignorantly standing on his way. But something stopped him, he recognized another man requesting the honor of dancing with Zeria. It was Dark Fayte.

A deeper hatred engulfed Julius' heart and mind, the only thing he wanted now was to yell and ask Zeria why she betrayed him. He closed his fist with such an anger, that soon some of the guests noticed his sudden change.

"So she is with him.....she is with HIM.....argh..."

Julius felt his left arm like freezing, his blood pressure was way beyond normal levels and his heart was about to explode from all that infusion of hatred. He could barely breath, panting and covered in sweat. His mind was lost in confusion, Julius was jealous.

Noticing that his master was troubled, a young knight approached him.

"Lord Silverwing, is anything wrong?"

With a cold ominous air, his eyes changed from greenish blue to a deep red. He nodded, denying everything that could show his deteriorated state.

"I am fine. Take care of the guests for me. I must retire to my chambers ...I forgot... something.....yes....something."

Julius turned his back against the crowed and went upstairs; his fist closed tightly, his eyes burning with hatred and jealousy, and his heart consumed by all this burst of emotions.

Julius entered his room and slammed the door behind him. He was finally letting all his feelings that threatened to swallow him out of his body. He yelled and tossed things like a ferocious animal.

"WHY?!!!!!! Curse them!! I hate them all!!! Miserable bastards! Treacherous dogs!!!!!!"

He fell on his knees, crying.

Zeria had sensed Julius' presence for a moment, then watched him leave. She sighed at looked apologetically at Lord Samael.

"I'm afraid our dance will have to wait. I have some...matters, I must attend to"

She bowed and turned, making her way through the crowd. She easily slipped past everyone and headed towards Julius' room. She'd surely find him there. She wanted to ask him many things, to really find out if she'd made the right decision. She hated siding with Lucious. In fact, her heart still remained with Julius. If she'd known that Lord Samael was with Lucious, she might not have gone with him. She stopped outside Julius' door.

"Sir Julius...it's me...may I. May I please come in?"

Her tone of voice was sorrowful. She hated herself for doing this, but she needed to know...

"I'm afraid our dance will have to wait. I have some...matters, I must attend to"

FFGuy: dammit! I must make haste!

FFGuy approached the entrance and saw the man, as much as his death would satisfy him he had no time, instead he flew over the roof and entered the ballroom.

FFGuy: now where did she go....?

FFGuy saw a dark figure turn a corridor to Julius' room

FFGuy: damn! she is going to assasinate him!

FFGuy ran as fast as he could towards Julius' room, hoping to make it in time to stop Zeria from slaying her old master

Julius sadness and grief was suddenly halted by a gentle yet sorrowful voice, it was Zeria. He passed a handkerchief over his face, wiping the tears and trying to hide that he spent some hours crying.
"Who is it now?"

"Zeria?"

He doubted, then he sighed and acted as if nothing that happened really affected him. He stood up, holding his composure and invited Zeria to enter.

"Yes, you may come."

And here they were, destined to face each other for the first time as opposing forces. Julius, a man that was becoming twisted by his suffering and Zeria, a woman that was willing to sacrifice everything for him. Julius realized that he needed Zeria more that he could ever admit. Though this strange change of heart was too suspicious. Was Zeria really going to assassinate Julius on behalf of his new master, Lucious?

Hearing the door open FFGuy opened into a low glide, he flew straight through the door hoping to knock Zeria to the floor before she could plunge a cruel, cold dagger into the richeous heart of Julius

Zeria turned and send a powerful wave of energy back at FFGuy, blocking him out.

"I am not here to harm Julius. I merely wish to speak with him...alone. Kindly leave FFGuy. These matters concern you not"

She turned to Julius and shed a tear. Her steps toward him were slow...almost hesitant.

"Julius, I......I don't know what to say or do anymore. I believed what Lord Samael said, but I didn't realize he was going to lead me to Lucious. I never wanted to join him, but I thought that I was useless to you and the others. I could never do anything...and I was always left out of everything"

She went down on her knees and bowed.

"I never meant to betray you. I only wanted to feel like I had a purpose for existing.........please......"

She lowered her head, hiding the tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Please forgive my actions..."

FFGuy did not expect such a quick action and was knocked back, when she returned her gaze on Julius he silently hovered above her in Julius' room, if she were to slay him he would be the first to stop her.

"Please forgive my actions..."

FFGuy(thoughts): she is..... sorry? It could be a trap! I must stay focused!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Realizing The problem that Julius is having, Arthvader headed towards Julius's quarters to ask him what's going on. By the time he arrived, he noticed FFGuy there, outside the room.

Arthvader "Hey there, FFGuy. Can you tell me what's going on?"
