~+Tales of FFF+~The Role Play

Zeria tried to dodge, but her ankles gave out.

"Damnit! Not now!"

She grabbed hold of her Hellfire Blade and swung upwards, and trying to push herself away from Lucious. Her body was too exhausted. Was she going to fail Julius? Was she going to die here and now? No...she couldn't die, not yet. Zeria brought up her left hand and aimed it at Lucious, charging most of her remaining strength and letting in blast towards him through the palm of her hand.

"DIE!"

((o_O I'm standing right at the stairs, Julius, you goose!))

The young woman stood nearby, away from the heat of the battle. Her head was bowed, her face cast in the shadow of her dark hair. She was trembling, her thoughts and morals clashing against each other in her heart and mind and leaving her indecisive.

Shenorai had come all this way to rescue Julius from the clutches of his brother. Yet now, the safety of her comrades was in jeopardy as they were being slashed at and beaten down by the very fiend they had come to defeat.

Yet there was something dwelling in her heart that didn't want Lucius to be harmed. She would've died if it wasn't for him. Even if it was likely his dark magic that caused her harm, he still saved her from it all. There was a horrible feeling in her chest, as though something was trying to crush her heart every time one of her friends tried to attack him. She wanted to at least return the favor, but...

Shen, what the hell are you waiting for?! He's gonna kill off everyone if we don't do something!
Shenorai's heart was crushed again. ...but...he-
Saving one life does not redeem him of all his sins, Shen! the ghost snapped. If you don't draw a sword and go after him, I'll do it for you!
Tears splashed against the stone at her feet. Both Shen's chest and head were aching. Leondra, please...

Suddenly, she realized Lucius was counting down to a devastating attack. With a shuddering gasp, her gaze snapped up at him. Her vision was beginning to blur again thanks to her tears. This had to end. She had to stop this madness!

"Stop this, Lucius! Please!" she begged once again, finally mustering the strength to raise her voice.

With naught but the staff in her hands, Shenorai ran to Lucius. Her heart pounded louder in her ears with every step she took. She had to go to him.

(I didn't notice Shen :P)

Lucius' movements halted as soon as he heard Shenorai. He ended his relentless pursuit on Zeria by deflecting her last attacks and stepping backwards away from her. Lucius was in shock, for the first time it seemed that something was beginning to affect him deeply.

"Shen...Shenorai....what are you doing here?"

He saw how Shenorai ran towards him and he didn't took any action to stop her. Instead he walked slowly towards here, the swords around him slowly fading away like ashes scattered by the wind. Suddenly, memories flashed through his mind as he fell on his knees screaming in agony. For an instance, the true schemer of this tragedy was making himself known.

"Lucius you pathetic child....Do as I say and kill her!!"

"NO"

"I say kill her or I'll destroy you!"

"Do as you please!!"

"So be it. I don't need you anymore..."

Lucius fell on the ground twisting in agony as shadows began to enveloped his body. "Shenorai!!!!!! RUN!!! I can't hold him much longer!!! Escape and leave me here!!"- It was too late, an invisible force lifted his body in the air and from within his chest a dark matter burst and took the form of a shadowy figure. The fiend was 7 feet tall and weighted over 500 pounds. It wore an armor similar to Lucius' that had skulls are over it. His head was replaced by a skull with red eyes and dark flames surrounding it. The demon wielded a gigantic double edge sword slightly similar to Lucius' Revenge Blade.

The demon grabbed a younger Lucius by the neck and stabbed his chest with a sword. Lucius began to cough blood and convulse as his remaining strength were drained and used to feed the new monster that stood before them. As soon as he finished, the demon removed the sword from Lucius' chest and tossed the body near Shenorai. He then brought his blade to mouth and tasted Lucius' blood with his tongue, slowly while staring at Shenorai.

"Delicious. Now you will face my wrath. I am Armageddon, Lord of the Element of Darkness and King of Oblivion. This twisted child serve his purpose and I released him from his misery. There Shenorai, witnessed the doomed fate you chose for your dearest Lucius."

Zeria was horrified. But then, she noticed that Shenorai was in danger.

"Shen!"

She ran out and placed herself in front of Shenorai.

"You will not harm her you monster! You manipulated Lucious, didn't you?! Bent him to your will and forced him to do things he didn't want to! I'll never forgive you. You've brought pain and suffering upon so many people! I'm going to rid the world of you, even if I have to drag you down to hell with me!"

Zeria dashed at this new beast and swung her blades with a newfound anger. No one seemed to notice that her eyes were almost black.

The monster charged towards Zeria and parried her attacks. He swung his blade madly, their blades could be seen crashing down against each other. Fragments of metal and sparks of light surrounded them as they released an unbelievable amount of hatred. Out of the sudden, Armageddon deflected Zeria's attack to the right and brought his huge claw towards Zeria's neck in an attempt to grab her.

Meanwhile Julius remained next to Arthvader and told him about a plan that would surely bring down the demon. By channeling the energy of Arthvader and Julius inside a weapon, they would be able to unleash a power so great that would strike the monster down, if not, weaken it significantly.

"Zeria keep him busy! Arthvader come on! We need to gather enough energy and combine our forces to strike him down!"

Zeria put up her blade just in time to stop the claw from grasping her, but it sent her Hellfire Blade flying across the room out of reach. She took the chance to leapt behind Armageddon and bring down the Lion Heart towards it's shoulder.

"I'll hold him off as long as I can! Just hurry up! I don't know how much longer I can keep myself conscious and strong enough to keep up with him!"

She brought down the Lion Heart. She just had to strike him down...for Shen and for Julius...

Arthvader "ok, Julius. I'm with you all the way to the end."

Both Julius And Arthvader started Charging their energies together. At the same time, Arthvader gave his phoenix and Gilgamesh orders.

Arthvader "Phoenix, Gilgamesh, I want you to assist Zeria in any way you can, ok? Now, go."

Gilgamesh "Ok. Let's go, Phoenix."

As Gilgamesh and the phoenix assist Zeria, Arthvader continued charging his light energy towards the holy sword that he created earlier, as well as combining his energy with Julius's.

Shenorai's eyes widened in disbelief, watching almost in slow-motion as Lucious' limp body was cast to the ground. Her free hand was clapped over her mouth, her head shaking slowly.

...this...no, this can't be happening...
Shen...you can't do anything now...

Despite what her ghost had advised, the bounty hunter ran over to Lucious and knelt down at his side, pulling his shoulder until he was laying upon his back. Her fingers brushed his hair away from his eyes, though she was soon overcome with sorrow. Lucious' eyes were...lifeless. As was the rest of him.

Shenorai's tears grew cold in grief. This pain growing in her heart was making her ignore everything around her. She quickly blamed herself for not seeing the hidden monster earlier. Blamed herself for not being able to act sooner. But the pain in her heart soon burned to one of sheer fury. She could have saved Lucius, yet here he lay. His life had been stolen. He had been taken away from her.

"...you...you BASTARD!"

Shenorai suddenly stood up, a new sort of fire in her eyes. Her pupils grew into cat-like orbs and nearly swallowed her irises, they were so wide. Translucent masses formed upon her back, quickly forming golden feathers that emitted a faint lavender glow. With the staff clutched in her left hand, her free hand reached over to her left waist, grasping at the air just above the sword she had at her belt. Her palm glowed as she 'unsheathed' another sword, this one bearing a glowing blade and was much lighter than the other two swords. A sword that could cut into souls themselves.

With a rush of pure anger and hatred, the young woman ran forth, giving herself a running start before lifting herself off of the ground with a few beats of her great wings. Shenorai's sword swiftly swung towards the beast before them, her rage clouding her usual logic and encouraging her to battle dead-on. Her grief made itself known through a battle cry shouted not for the sake of battle...

...but for vengeance.

Hejaloki saw the demon appear out of the body of Lucious.

He glowed so bright that it lit up every part of the room.

Hejaloki yelled to the demon, " Come demon leave these mortals be. Face the champion of light and the gatekeeper of the heavens."

He yelled to the mortals, " Run he is too strong for any of you."

With that he readied his sword and shield against the demon.

"Arthvader at my signal, unleash your most devastating attack! Then I'll use mine!"

Julius stared at the demon who was attacking Zeria. He soon noticed Loki telling them to leave but refused to do so and remained on the battlefield. Julius held his sword tightly as if became surrounded by holy flames, just like Arthvader and his weapons.

"Loki! Help Zeria! I know you are strong but if we want to get out of here alive we can't risk being beaten by that fiend! If we win, we will as a team!"

The aura around Arthvader and Julius intensified. Meanwhile the demon continued his relentless pursuit on Zeria. He was getting cornered by another warrior as well, Shenorai Eterna. Flames sprouted from Armageddon's demonic eyes as barely managed to defend himself against the non stopping attacks.

Hearing what Julius just said, Arthvader continues to charge up his energy. During that time, He called his phoenix over.

Arthvader "Phoenix, I want you to charge up you energy as well. When I say so, I want you to use Ultima, ok? Now, go ahead and get ready.

The Phoenix then started charging it's energy as well, revealing a turquoise color around it. In meer seconds, the phoenix's energy has reached to the same point as that of both Arthvader and Julius.

Zeria roared with anger and continued her onslaught of attacks. She never ceased to swing the Lion Heart at Armageddon, aiming for vital areas and openings in his defense.

"I'LL NEVER LET YOU DEFEAT ME!"

She charged up energy into the gunblade and slammed it against the ground.

"FULL FORCE CRUSHER!"

At that, the ground began to tear up and come hurtling towards Armageddon with the energy charging it. Then, Zeria went at him once more, bringing an even tougher onslaught.

Hejaloki's shield and sword glowed with bright energy. He let loose 3 bolts of energy from his shield at the demon. Then he slashed the ground sending a massive energy beam at the demon from the sword.

"Come demon tell me how you survived our last battle, an eon ago? You will fail this time." Hejaloki said after sending his attacks at the demon.

__

Hejaloki communicated within the mind of Julius, " I will be able to save your brother if you wish. Once we dispatch this demon."

As the floor seemed to erupt and beams were sent towards Armageddon, Shenorai beat her wings and flew several meters away to allow the attacks of her comrades to land. Even with the rage that burst from her heart, she still knew better than to become caught in a crossfire.

The possessed bounty hunter glanced about at the battlefield. As though her own and Zeria's attacks weren't enough, now there was a sort of angel fighting with them as well. She couldn't quite see where FFGuy had gotten to, though Shen could spot Julius and Arthvader working together in an attempt of a joint attack.

Shenorai waited for the attacks of her comrades to land before diving at Armageddon once again with her sword before her.

Faith had settled into the bridge of the giant airship. In the company of busy militants, who oversaw and stabilized it, the black mage felt out of place among the uniformed. Who was she after all? She was no commander. She had no military training. No leadership skills. All she had to boast was her mastery in the arts of black magic. At least that, to her relief, would prove useful to this mission.

The strategy wasn't new to her. Master Julius Argexis had done this in the past; and so it saved Admiral Geraldo the time needed to explain the plan. Faith was very familiar with it, having participated in such during skirmishes with the Master. It required the use of exceptionally powerful mages, but fortune favored the Silverwing Armada once again with Faith present.

Every ten minutes a status report was in check at the behest of the admiral. "Steady as she goes," was his reply. "The Akdamut is a pricey one. Not a scratch, ya hear?"

The Akdamut, Faith mused. A flying behemoth of tremendous proportions, capable of housing a fleet of two score. Armed with the latest cannon technology it alone was a force to be reckoned with. The mage had only heard rumors of this ship involving the many features of its design. For example, she heard the Admiral brag about its many uses, including it being an "anti-flagship" craft. She wouldn't have doubted that, considering that it was practically armed to the teeth. But could it match the power of the flying Fortress?

They were flying in dangerous skies, in the heat of battle. The late night sky was the stage the for reincarnation of Lucifer's rebellion, when angels took sides and turned heaven into a warzone. Strangely enough, the idea wasn't so farfetched. A portal to hell was opened, and it was the only reason why they were fighting demons of tremendous power. With hides so thick and an instinct so relentless, it would take twice as much barrages of lead to take them down compared to a typical fighter craft. Thankfully, there they were protected escorted by a brave number of fighter pilots who shot down every winged reptilian that dared laid its eyes on the Akdamut.

Initially thay had planned to force their way in. A shield was detected upon their radars, and a potent one according to their data. It was not a shield of conventional technology. Indeed, Lucious was behind it. When firing volleys didn't work, and when all hope seemed lost, the unthinkable happened.

It was if the the gate of hell beckoned them. With the impenetrable forcefield--that deactivated without warning--that guarded the fortress was an elite guard of higher demons, larger in size and more fierce in power. With their two-story sized lances they directed the Akdamut to their destination: The highest tower.

"The 'Final Showdown'," Admiral Geraldo scoffed. "He sure is a confident bastard. Does he really intend to make the top brass do the dirty work too? He must think we high-ranks weaken over time. Well, I'll show him."

"I don't know," Faith expressed her doubt a little too loudly, watching anxiously through the windows as they neared the Fortress's highest point. "There's got to be something he's planning. We've already got our rescue team in there. Unless they've perished so soon. . . ."

"Dear sister, didn't I tell you not to underestimate the bouny hunter?"

Faith looked back, recognizing the voice of her sister. Vegnya strided proudly to her sister's and the Admiral's side. Despite the occassion, she kept her formal duchess wear, which she still frowned upon for its revealing design. She had to clench onto her slim robe to keep her exposed hips, and ample chest from view.

"I see you've fully recovered, Your Grace." The Admiral grinned. "Not a sign of injury. You amaze me."

"It would take more than a punctured skull and tremendous bloodloss to stop me from dispensing justice," the white mage said sternly. "As long as someone has power they will use it. How rude of them to attempt to deprive me of that right."

"We've created a tunnel passageway to the Fortress," said one of the operators on the bridge. "It will lead you to the highest point, where all the activity appears to be."

"Shall we?" Geraldo waved to the exit.

"It's considered extremely rude to drop in unnoticed." Vegnya warned. Geraldo was immediately put on a loudspeaker, so everyone in the Fortress could hear. Especially Lucious. "Go ahead, Admiral." She smiled.

"This is Fleet Admiral Nestor Geraldo, commander of the Silverwing Armada of the Third District's united armed forces. We are taking this vessel into custody. Do not resist, or we will use deadly force.

"Now?" Geraldo prodded.

Vegnya nodded smugly and led the way into the Fortress, with Faith and Geraldo following after.

ooc: sorry I wasn't on yesterday

ic: FFGuy flew past Lucius, his attack almost ghosted through Lucius, when enough distance had passed he summoned up a firaga attack, the armour he was wearing enhanced his power so the spell would be faster, and more destructive. When he unleashed the spell his angel arm and wing started to radiate a dark aura, like the evil side of him was urging to take over his body.

FFGuy: argh! no!..... you won't take over me!

FFGuy plummeted to the ground with a large thud, the armour made it sound much louder, his wings started to act on their own, involuntarily flying him up to shield Lucius.

FFGuy: help me! I am not doing this! Lucius must have done something to me!

FFGuy involuntarily raised his sword and charged at Arthvader.

FFGuy: Arthvader! stop me!

Julius suddenly stopped gathering energy, realizing that it would take a greater effort to take Armageddon down. Julius' eyes turned to Arthvader, and the young knight saw that Arthvader was near using his full power.

"Arthvader, save your energy. You'll need it to take our friends out of here. Let me finish it...."

Julius Argexis summoned an unknown force from within, one that he knew very well for it was the power that once tempted his brother's soul and plunged him into the madness that cost Lucius his life. If he were to defeat or at least, attempt to weaken Armageddon, Julius would have to take the risk of become tainted by that poisonous power, the power of the Dark Blood that ran through his veins. He tightened his left fist, his right hand still holding the handle of the sword firmly.

"Must concentrate on not losing control...."

He breathed heavily, his heart began to beat faster and faster, and his body temperature was increasing significantly. "Arthvader, after unleashing everything I have, you will attack me if that is what it takes to bring me back to normal."

As Armageddon continued his relentless pursuit on Shenorai and the others, the demon never noticed Julius and what the young knight was doing.
Argexis finally gets out of control, unleashing his rage mindlessly ending up being consumed by his sorrow. He suddenly falls on his knees and pierces the ground with his sword. His tears flow from his eyes combining both emotions of hatred and love in a desperate effort to maintain his sanity. In the end, one of the tears falls on the ground and everything seems to slow down all around Argexis. His heart beats faster than ever and memories of his lost love flash through his mind. Hoping to regain control of his self, Argexis unleashes powerful battle cry and all his surroundings go back to normal. Suddenly he notices that the area is surrounded by pitch black darkness and, in order to release all his power, Argexis pulls his sword of the ground and swings it fiercely downwardly with all his might unleashing every feeling inside his heart in this single, yet powerful, final blow. If the attack is successful, the opponent won’t only feel the physical damage but will also feel Argexis hatred deep inside his heart. After the attack, Julius fell on his knees once again exhausted, his sight was clouded and it appears he would soon faint. Unfortunately, Armageddon was still there, greatly weakened and bathed in his own dark blood.

"Finish him...now is your only chance...."

Arthvader "Got it. Phoenix, Use it now. ULTIMA!"

the phoenix released all of it's power and sent forth a dome of overwhelming energy around Julius and Armageddon. As the dome increases in size, The power of the attack increased. As that time, Arthvader began his ultimate spell.

Arthvader "Remember this, Julius? This is the combo I used against you back at the training grounds. This time around, I'm using all of my power in this. Prepare yourself for the worse, Julius, As I'm going to get rid of that evil creature once and for all. GRANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Arthvader then unleashed all of his power into the beam of holy light that covered the whole ultima dome, destroying anything inside the beam. As the powerful combination continues, Arthvader has started to worry for Julius's life.

'What in God's name have I done? with this much power, Julius might not survive. Have I caused his death?'

Arthvader "JULIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hejaloki soon realized to much power would be released. He feared the demon will survive the attack. For it took much more energy to defeat him before.

Also Hejaloki hoped the mortals knew they needed love to kill this demon not revenge or hatred. He realized how the demon survived he had revenge in his mind when he defeated him before.

"Come demon we will end your power or should I say Brother." With that Hejiloki let loose a powerful holy beam.

OOC: Just to let you know, my attack is still in effect. let's just say that Hjaloki's attack in the last post has combined with my attack.

IC:
As he continues to worry about Julius's safety, Arthvader noticed another beam of holy light coming from Hejaloki. The beam collided with his own combination spell, increasing the power of the attack. Then, suddenly, Arthvader's sword started to glow more brightly then usual.

Arthvader "W.What's going on here? Why is my sword acting like this"

He then noticed a small spot of darkness emanating from the attack. As the darkness continues to shine through the attack, Arthvader has begun his charge towards the dark light.

Arthvader "Thanks for what you did, Hejaloki, but, now it's time for me to finish this. Tell everyone else around here to leave ASAP, ok. So Long."

And with those final words, Arthvader entered the powerful spell, knowing that he might lose his life in the process. Inside, he launched himself high above Armageddon.

Arthvader "Ugh. TAKE THIS. MY LOVE, MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW. The is the end of you. SAY GOODBYE."

He aimed his sword downward and pierced Armageddon through the skull. The blow was so fatal that the creature has started to vanish with the light.
