Federer is in good form at the moment, and Nadal may have not yet wholly shrugged off his injury. I think Federer might bag another Grand Slam. As for the women's, best bet is to just put money on a Williams sister!

Anyone watching the US Open? Who do you think will win?
Heading into the R16 is when we'll really be able to gauge that. These early matches thus far haven't showed much about any top players' form other than Djokovic and maybe Nadal.

Then again, Fed played a tough opponent in Hewitt the other day, and it was good that he pulled it off when he did (especially given how the second set was up for grabs). Murray on the other hand, dropped a set playing cat and mouse against his opponent, so that didn't say much. Del Potro's just kind of playing the course. And Nadal has been getting sucked in to a pretty bland match vs Almagro.

Djokovic vs Witton the other day is where real speculation kicks in. That was not a great match for him, and his chances aren't looking too hot. He's very lucky to have Roddick out of his quarter, or I think that would've been the end of the line for him in that match up.

Right now, I suppose the best bet would be on Federer, but that's not necessarily saying much, as he does look beatable. Murray's not far behind, and I wouldn't be surprised if we have a guy like Tsonga or Verdasco sneak into the final.

On the women's side, I'm really rooting for Kim Clijsters to take it. I love her, and it's great to see her playing again. Hopefully she can pull through against Venus.

EDIT: Also, I saw the whole thing with Nadal's abdominal strain... It's a shame. I kind of hope he retires or loses next round rather than risking further injury.
