A fan thread to Terra!! :jess:

I love FFVI so much! Poor Terra is mostly forgotten because of FFVII and the games succeeding it. Terra as a character is much deeper and more empathising than someone like Squall.

Terra is awesome! Anyone objecting to that will be an enemy of me -__-

Terra is kickass. Although everyone is still stuck on VII. At least we know VI (III at the time) won a stop as the world's third best SNES game ever, losing to The Legend of Zelda: Link to a Past and Super Metriod.

Its won awards for its greatness to, and in my eyes, Final Fantasy VI and Terra is the best FF title. But that's just me and I probably come off rabid... >.<

Anyway, welcome to the FC. Look forward to you posting, its always good to talk with Terra fans.
 
I think that goes for us all. Indeed, the "Greatest JRPG of All Times"-argument I usually see between Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, not VII. I completely sign that. And Terra is a biiig part of that (though I don't mind Celes, Locke and the rest of the main cast for that matter). The sweet, beautiful, innocent, magical Terra!
 
Now we have our Final Fantasies modeled to be exactly -- don't to character design -- like Final Fantasy VII. Okay, so Aerith died, so what? The villain wasn't even that good either >.>

I mean look at 13's Lightning. She looks like Cloud and has been said to be a female version of him. FFX was meant to be like VII (and in my opinion is a lot better...I dunno why).

The games should go back to what they were before; like FFVI. The characters should go back to what they were too -- Terra is a great example.
 
Magitek, i couldn't agree with you more. (yes, I'm not dead on here xD), the effect characters from Square had are just fading, they don't stand out or really reach the crowd. Sure there were some memorable ones, V, VI, VII, and X. But from what i know, they're all pretty much similar--story likewise. Square needs another VI, a story that really sticks with you even after you beat the game =) Believe me, when i beat VIII, I barely knew what the heck was going on >_< and XII was just a bad Star Wars rip off.

^^ I really love that image as well. Not only has it got me thinking how awesome it would be to have a Moogle plush doll - and a Terra doll looking like that - but it has me surprised at how it has made Kefka look nearly cute!

SE, forget a FFVII remake this instant. Consider a FFVI remake in any way, shape or form - like on the DS. We need FFVI's story in full 3D and another chance to see Terra in 3D as well.
 
I agree. Maybe even go for a DS remake and a PSP remake, so we may have serious graphics for such a serious, awesome game. I'd love to see Terra burst into Esper form to attack Kefka, or Edgar use Chainsaw, or Locke throwing his boomerang.

I wish SE would just stop milking FFVII long enough to remake VI, there are a lot of fans, they just are rabid and in your face. They prefer their peace and alone-ee-nee.
 
Hi, thread caught my attention, so thought I'd just jump in here :).

FFVI was a great game and Terra was always a big part of that; however, the art images that they put out for the game varied so much that it was hard to really go hardcore fan on the game or characters. The ingame character sprites were cute and could certainly be done better in a current day remake, even on handheld, but I never much cared for the odd, Asian styled images that Square included in the instruction manual and strategy guide. In those, Terra was never that interesting ( I realize that may be almost heresy to say here ;p ).

Having said that though, your sig is Gorgeous, and furthering that representation of Terra would be a complete success.

Terra is my second favorite FF character. (After Rydia XD)

I really feel that she is the best developed character in the series. She really grew as the story progressed, something that we usually do not really see in an FF game, or if we do it feels forced.

And I also love that she found love by taking care of children, not the cliched romantic way :)

Hi, may I please join? VI is one of my favorite FFs and I think Terra is an amazing lead for it, she's strong and anything but a cliche female character. And I love how she reacted when she realized
her father was an Esper
--she seemed really proud rather than thinking it was weird or creepy, and I really admired that about her :)

I thought I was the only one! I don't think you have to use spoilers, since this is a FC. People should know what they are signing up for by entering this thread. Just saying :kelly:

Ok, thanks :yay: And you're right, people would probably know the whole VI story anyway if they're here xD I just wanted to make sure.

Another thing that I love is Terra's musical theme, it's pretty and mysterious and I think it really fits her personality ^_^
