I'm a proper text -a-holic, prefer it to phone calls most of the time unless I'm feeling really lazy, but what really pecks my head, that makes me wish texting had never been invented is when I get this off the mothership

'phone me'

-__-

Or them stupid bloody chain text efforts, they well peck my head, my mate rachel sends them me all the time, Im sure she does it on purpose because she knows I hate them xD

I can't stand the effort required for texting; I'd much prefer to talk over the phone or meet in person. On average, I'd say I make about 2 texts per month, though I don't really use my phone much at all except in emergencies; being why I got it in the first place.

Will probably indulge during work hours though. Lord knows it's far more interesting. -__-

I text quite a lot these days, although it's 99% to the same person. >_> I hardly ever used to text at all though, my rate would be about the same as saix's.

I don't really phone people that much though and if I NEED to ask them something then I'll usually send a text if I'm not online, or they aren't.

i used to text 24/7 over the summer i hardly texted though. I prefer phone calls. Now that im back in school im sure ill get ALOT more texts.

I text a lot of different people...a lot. :wacky:
Like that time I came out of the cinemas and I switched my phone on there was about 40 unread texts...but that was the same month I used all 10,000 x_x

I'll probably text more now that I'm at college with the whole "Where the fuck are you?" and "Do you have a free period now?" :cassy:

I got my phone specifically for texting (two-way flip/qwerty keypad), and although I text quite a bit (with unlimited text), there are times when I'd much prefer to speak on the phone with someone. I don't like to chit-chat, but when it's an emergency or I desperately need to get a hold of someone, I'd rather it be direct contact.

I hate chain texts, I prefer texting only because I get 300 each month when I top up £10.

Oh gosh, back in the Philippines a few years ago (during my summer vacation), I texted A LOT! I would stay up until 2 a.m texting friends and catching up the years we've lost. It sucks though coz' we had to buy a "load" just so we can do unlimited (for 3 days) texting and then buy another load. So worth it though.

But yeah, I find texting quite enjoyable than talking on the phone sometimes. I don't know why...

i just added texting to my phone this summer. I much rather talk on the phone just easier

I normally prefer texting someone to actually talking to them, be it in person or on the phone. That way no one else can overhear waht I'm saying, and I can just pretend that I don't get texts that I don't want to respond to.

I normally send so many texts that it worked out cheaper buying two phones.

I dont mind either txtin or callin, what i really hate is the whole

If iam you friend blah blah text to all your friends and see what they think

all that crap, does my head in!

am always texting ,friends, family, Random names in my phone book who i can't remember to check if i know them or they are somebody i asked for their number and never text them.

Most hated Texts are definitely chain messages and ones from the Parental unit telling me to phone one of them. which i hate doing but it hardly ever happens, my mum normally phones me and demands i put my life on hold to answer

Well I'm a text-a-holic too. Just now I deleted like 500 of em from my inbox.. an that's just the ones from today :monster:

I prefer messaging someone over calling them on the phone. It's a lot quicker and then if you have to do something, like say pee you can without having to say bye like you would on the phone xD

I must say I absolutely hate those chain mail ones though. I want to scream everytime I get one >_>

I love to text. I run about 200 texts a day, 300 on a good day. I text all day long at work, or when I'm at home. I even leave my phone outside the shower just in case I get a text. I'm addicted.

The amount of texting I do sometimes disgusts even myself. XD It's so bad, but I love it so much. :3 I always have to have a phone that has a legitimate keyboard on it because i text so much. I used to have the Wing but recently ot the Sidekick '08 because I was told it has faster messaging. >>

I can easily go through 400 - 500 texts a day. :3

Although, I do hate the chain text messages with a passion. D:

Generally, I prefer texting to talking on the phone. It depends on the nature of the call. I don't like chatting for extended periods of time, so I'd gladly exchange a few texts in lieu of that. I always feel like I'm interrupting something when I call people (same with IM, which is why I never IM people--just receive 'em), so I like being able to text instead. The message can be viewed and responded to at the leisure of the person who received it.

I don't text a whole lot in comparison to most people. I know plenty of people who can't even drive a car without texting. Idiotic move if you ask me. But yeah, I send and receive a handful each day.

im 50-50!! i text as much as i call.

Speaking of texting my mate crashed yesturday whilst checking his messages LOL his car got wreaked and the car he hit was preety much ok. LOL hes a prat!!

I text a decent amount I'd say. I usually do it when I'm around family members, or in a public place where talking on a phone wouldn't be appropriate. When I have the chance, I prefer to just call somebody to talk to them, even if it's just to tell them a short message. But most of the time I'm out and need to tell somebody something, it's at a restaurant or with family, so lately I've just been texting instead x_x

I've been texting alot mainly because I can't stand talking to people over a phone. Its just not the same as in person. But not as much as some people I know. My friend wakes up in the morning, sends a group message and then carrys on having seperate txt convo's with each one that replies. It's insane but then it makes sense as he spends alot of time travelling on buses and trains, and has the graveyard shifts at a local watering hole.

I text a hell of a lot. I emptied my inbox on Sunday, and already I have about another 150 texts in there. It's just so much more convenient than actually phoning, because you can quickly do it when you're in between things, and you're can do other things while you're texting quite easily, whereas phoning generally requires all of your attention.
Having said that, I do like to talk on the phone most of the time. It's just usually so much easier not to.
