I actually thought it was real until i seen ur reaction xD You werent going mad or anything really, neither was busta so i sorta figured itd be a joke after that
Its quite funny that bass fishing forums was real, merc even registered

lol I just didn't really react at all. I hardly posted at all during that whole thing. I was more concerned making sure SeaBass' tracks were covered and no hints were given away, so I hardly posted or shouted in the SB at all.

It was a pretty clever joke, and i have to admit it had me going for a while. I think theres only a few people who realised straight away it was a prank

Mitsuki nearly gave it away though, I asked her if it was a joke on msn and she took ages to reply xD

It had us on staff panicking, so it was a good joke xD

Lol well after that, I did manage to convince you by providing 'proofs' that it wasn't a prank. xD At least I thought so anyway. You sounded convinced. If not, you did one hell of a job acting like you were convinced.


And it wasn't ages. It was like 30 seconds to a minute.

As I said in SB last night,

they all played their sneaky, devious, little parts.

I said it was 85% a joke.. but here's why.. I give out 1 oscar!

Busta - "Who Created that forum?!" - and of course he couldn't keep a straight... um I would say face, but his writing seemed a tad bit on the joking side.

Shiva - She was outright acting as if the forum was ending and .. then some and then some. (no details) But I gotta say she threw me off the most, because she never denied it being a joke, so this is why I was hesitant to say it was a 100% joke. From getting upset at other members to outright having to "take her leave" I was like.. hmmmmm. It was almost like she wasn't in on it at first, but then after being informed it was a joke.. it was as if she calmed down. So .. I gotta say.. Here's your oscar Mandi ! =)

Mitsuki - Well she may act innocent but you know she's up to no good =). Even if Mits wasn't really on much .. if so I would have never known since i was a bit consumed in my work.. I thought she was oblivious. As soon I hopped on to check up on the forums last night.. I had heard they had planned it for 1 week.

Things that contributed it to being a Joke:

1) A free forum taking over a paid for forum.

2) Captain Seabass? I mean unless you are total Deuchebag (no offense) I don't expect anyone to have this name. It reminded me of a fraternity guy's nick name back in sophomore year of college. Hince the reason for my user note the day before all this began lol.

3) The other forum had no mention of taking over this forum.. so which lead to "great" speculation.

4) April 1st being 2 days away.. I just didn't know how long they could keep it up without actually upsetting the naive folks. I mean I had a feeling people might start making fake accounts on the other forum and blasting the members/staff of their stuff.

That is where you messed up. You should have shown one of these emotions: anger, annoyance, sad, or happy

Anger, because you were gonna lose your spot as admin
Annoyance, because you had just became an admin again within the last few months
Sad, because it was a fishing site for crying out loud.
Happy, because you might have liked fishing.

You instead showed indifference, which showed people that you were not worried. That also showed that you believed it not to be happening.

I'm a little disappointed this prank didn't go farther, but it's good that nothing actually bad came out of it. It was fun watching people overreact but watching every forum disappear over the next few days would have been fantastic. I was looking forward to it.

It did seem though, at the end of yesterday, that most people believed it to be a joke. Not sure if someone let something slip, or whether the group consensus just changed as the day progressed. At least the initial reaction was strong. Still to see each forum slowly disappear would have been hilarious.

And yea, Mandi... you did sell it well. When it started, I had no idea the admins were in on it. I personally just thought it was Busta. Mits never posted and you were going ballistic. So bravo to you.

See, that's not me. It it wasn't clear if it was a joke or not I would have taken to road Red Fox did mainly. Just wait it out. I usually don't get emotional about it, good or bad, I'm just mellow. I mean we each as Admin's had to act how we would have normally. I mean us 3 all would have been upset, but we had to balance it out. Mandi's been here the longest and said many times before that this is her second home, etc... I told her in an MSN convo had the prank gone longer, she needed to flip out later last night to add effect.

Mitsuki played more cautiously confused than anything. She was uncertain why things were going on, wondering why LG didn't mention it to us, why things were left unexplained, and all that.

I created the fake forum and moved Captain SeaBass into the New owner usergroup, but held my ground that I could not delete the new forum no matter how hard I tried, I just didn't have the permissions to do so, AND I didn't have the authority to make members new Site Owners. I just basically left it to the ideas that LG and SeaBass were the one's who were over-powering our actions. I think if I woulda flipped out, THAT woulda been more unbeleivable for others. Just outta character for me.

Also, Frisky fell for it. She was worried sick.

I knew it would have been just like the bloody Smith thing last year. It scared me at first but then i kinda figured it was just a prank. I thought it was funny after LG told me over PM that it was just a joke. Also when Busta said he couldn't delete the forum, i found that bullshit xD Good one, though the Smith one was definitley better

I really did wish we could have kept the joke going. We were even going to go as far as de-admining ourselves and the staff. (The three of us would still have our privileges even if we have a white-colored username). Now that would have been a blast to see...but damn Merc ruined it. I blame him. xD
