This is the ultimate comparsion topic :P

Since most of them are like "cloud VS Sqaull" "Aeris VS Tifa" "Dagger VS Yuna" etc..im bored of seeing the boys bening pitted against each other and the girls pitted against each other so lets pit them together - and to make it more interesting lets include a "not identifiable" gender group too :P

So what you have to do is decide out of every FF game that you've played which gender is better in that game - Boys Girls or Genderless - then add up the scores at the end to see who wins ^_^

This is a list of every single Character in every FF to help you in your desicion of whos better - Guys Girls or Genderless - Note i didnt include FF1 because None of the characters there really have a gender, nor did i include FFX-2 or any other spin-offs - the characters there dont apply here.

*whew* that was quite a list to type out :lol: and now here is my opinion on the characters in thier respective games :

FF2 - Girls win, because i found Leila to be hilarious XD and the boys in FF2 were just *yawn*

FF3 - The Boys win this one, for the simple reason there is a ratio of 3:1

FF4 - The Boys win this one again - they just seem to be more developed and more influencial characters than the girls - who although very cool - none of the girls go through the stuff that Cecil and Kain go through.

FF5 - Girls win - because here comes the 3:1 ratio again ^_^ plus Faris is a badass!

FF6 - Girls win again - Terra and Celes are the most developed Characters and have the most interesting backgrounds and designs.

FF7 - Girls win - because Tifa-Aeris-Yuffie are like the charlies Angels of FF - there Memorable, powerful and No FF girl has EVER imo been able to match the impact they had.

FF8 - Boys win, because of Zell and Irvine - they each brought something unique to the game - and Zell was hilarious - i hate squall and Rinoa because they have the whole romance thing - which developed way too fast - Selphie needs to be given Ritalin and Quistis was boring, Edea PWNS all though ^_^

FF9 - Boys win - After Cloud and Squalls less-than-happy personalitys Zidane was a breath of fresh air, Vivi is an iconic FF figure brought to life and Steiner was hilarious XD Amarant is the weak link in their team.

FF10 - Girls win - Yuna goes through so much that you just have to love her - Lulu has an amazing design and personality, and Rikku is a peepy child but in a good way.

FF12 - Girls win - Ashe IS princess leia and i love star wars so her resemblance to her makes me Happy :lol: Fran just mesmorises me - her design her voice, her hair, everything XD Penelo and Vaan arn't even worth mentioning, and Balthier and Basch - while cool dont compare to Ashe and Fran.

Overall score

Boys - 4

Girls - 6

Genderless - 0

So my final overall vote over which gender is better in the FF games go's to the Girls XD

If you read through all of that your'e either Lieing or have too much free time on your hands or were extremly bored XD

I'm going to start with FFVII because the only FF game I've played from before that is FFI.

FFVII - Boys win. Cloud and Sephiroth are the ultimate characters. Vincent and Cid aren't exactly half bad themselves. Aeris makes it a very tough decision being one of the ultimate characters herself, but Yuffie and Tifa really aren't backing her up enough.

FFVIII - Boys win again. Irvine was really the only one that brought anything to the table for me though. Zell wasn't all that terrible either I guess. Steiner I guess should get some kind of honorable mention for being both funny and lovable.

FFIX - Boys once more, but only because of Vivi. Zidane is almost bad enough to make me pick girls just to be on the other side as him.

FFX - Boys four times running. While Tidus was kind of a crybaby, Auron, and Kamahri are complete badasses, and Wakka has a cool accent with some of the best voice acting in a video game of all time, in my opinion. Rikku makes a good run however, but Lulu comes off as bitchy, and Yuna, while lovable, still manages to score fairly low on my scale.

FFXII - Girls finally place! Only because of Fran though. She has a great personality, but maybe she should switch out of that thong o_O. Vaan and Penelo cancel each other out as equally useless. Balthier, while being a very close second just doesn't match up with Fran. Basch isn't a terrible character, I just feel something missing there, and the same thing goes for Ashe.

Poor girls. I don't think the games would be the same without them, but for one reason or another that I have listed, they just aren't seeming to compare with the boys. They all come in a very close second, and as for the genderless character, Quina, well, she apparantly was too busy eating to even take place in the running.
 
Boys hands down lol i mean no-one could beat cloud squall or tidus they were just simply amazing
 
Okie dokie, here we go %D

FFIII - Guys win. None of them exactly have great character development, but the guys seem to have a tad bit more. Even though I do like Refia.

FFIV - Guys win again. Rydia was awesome, and Rosa I only found essential when someone needed healing, and she wasn't the only character who could do that :/ Cecil, Kain and Edge alone, won the guys another point :P

FFVII - ....Guys xD Vincent, Cid, Red, they all rule. Tifa is my 2nd favorite character after Vincent, but I just didn't care about Aeris enough. And Yuffie...I dunno. I still don't know how I actually feel about her tbh. One minute I really like her, and the next I want to ring her neck xD

FFVIII - I'm gonna say guys but...that's not saying much really since I can't stand about any of the characters. I hate Rinoa, Selphie annoys the shit out of me, and Quistis......I just found her to be incredibly boring. Same for Edea. Squall I hate, and Irvine......blech. Pansy ass cowboy. Only reason the guys won is cause of Seifer and Zell.

FFIX - Girls win. Garnet and Freya are awesome <3 (and even though Beatrix wasn't exactly playable......come on. She rules xD)

FFX - .....Well...I hate Tidus and Wakka, and I don't give a shit about Kimahri. But I really liked Auron <33 Lulu I found very very boring. But I liked Rikku & Yuna. So, in terms of 2 girls vs. the one guy, Girls win.

FFXII - Guys win hands down. Balthier? FANTASTICO!!1 xDD Basch I liked a lot more than I thought I would. Vaan I didn't care about though. He can suck it xD Ashe bored me.....something about her personality was just...so damn boring. Penelo....Penelo was one of those characters I didn't love or hate. She was just sorta....there, so I don't care about her. Fran I loved though. She rules, Ashe & Penelo aren't even in the same league as Fran.

FF VII-Guys win, cloud vincent what more can i say??

FF VIII- Seifer and Squall, Guys win again

FF IX- Guys win mainly because of Vivi and Steiner, Zidane wasnt much

FF X- Seymor, Tidus Guys win

FF X-2 Yuna, Riku, Paine Girls win,

FF XII Ashe, Fran Girls win
 
Do girls ever win? hehe Seriously though, guys all the way. Honestly, even Final Fantasy X-2 wins for the guys. I like the girls of the FF series... but the stars are the boys. Besides, girls are stinkie. :D
 
FFIV - Guys. Kain alone wins it for them. He just kicks ass.
FFV - Girls. Being the only guy in the group essentially makes Bartz their bitch.
FFVI - Guys. Locke, Cyan and Shadow kick ass.
FFVII - Guys. Cid, Nanaki and Vincent are awesome.
FFVIII - Guys. I don't really like any of the main characters except Zell, so he alone wins it for the guys.
FFIX - It's a draw. I like all of the characters equally (except Quina).
FFX - Guys. Auron is just friggin' awesome.


Can't say anything about III or XII because i haven't played them.

Anyway, let's get this started. I'll just list the games that I've played, not including FFX-2.

FF7: I'd really have to go with guys here. There's too many of them! And plus they have Cloud and Vincent there. ;)

FF8: Again, guys win. They're too strong compared to Quistis, Rinoa, and Selphy. I honestly don't view those three girls as bad-ass.

FF9: Ahh, I'll have to go with the girls here! ^_^ Why? Because we have two of them who can summon! And then one, erm, Freya...who can...shoot, I forgot her attacks. Wasn't she some sort of dragon lancer or something?

FF10: Girls again! Yuna's an incredible summoner, and Lulu can deal major damage with her black magic. Riku's a great thief and can deal some blows too!

FF12: Guys here. Balthier and Basch are just way too strong. Sheesh, combine those two together and we have a killing machine! :blink:

So blah, I guess guys win, afterall.
 
OK I can only really do two:

FFIX: Gotta say the girls win here. Freya is just damn cool, with an actually good background story unlike the likes of Amarant, Quina, Steiner (to a degree0. Beatrix rocks the socks off everyone and Garnet is OK. On the Boys side Zidane just didn't appeal to me. Hated Amarant's character - he just seemed so pointless. Steiner was OK, but too clammy. Kuja was really a woman and Garland was just creepy. The only who who brought the side up was Vivi, who was just very likable.

FFX-2: Is there really any contest here? I'll give my thoughts on each character anyway. Yuna - I just think is too soppy. I like her new dress style, but I didn't like how she was always reminiscing of the past. Paine for me was a good charac to bring into the story, but on a personal level I didn't like how you don't find out anything abotu here. Rikku is my favourite character here by far since she is happy, funny and just so lovable.
 
I can only speak for the FFs that I've played:

FFXII - Tie, the only two characters that actually caught my attention in this game were Balthier & Fran. Therefor, it's a tie.

FFX - Girls win. Only Auron and Kimahri are strong male figures in the game, but Kimahri wasn't really developed, and was ahorrible character in a fight. Yuna was by far the strongest in this game, with Lulu being a distant second.

FFIX - Guys win here. EIko was an anchor weighing down on the story, Dagger was far too weak and needy, Freya was good, but not good enough to carry the girls to a victory here. Amarant was the coolest character in the game IMO, even though he did not really have a story to him. Steiner was a little annoying in the beggining of the game, but his comments, actions, and attacks made up for his behavior later in the game. Zidane was too G rated for me to like too much. Had he been a little more rough around the edges, his backround would've been more believable and his character would've been better.

FFVIII - Guys win again. It was pretty much a tie until I got to Squall and Rinoa. Neither one was likable, but Squall was alot more useful during battle. There for the guys win.

FFVII - Storyline wise, the only two characters that need to be mentioned here are Cloud and Aeris. Though the only character I disliked in this game was Cait Sith, all the characters in this game were amazing and likable. If Aeris would've lived, I would probably go with the girls, but she didn't, therefor the guys win this one.

FFVI - Girls win. Terra, need I say more? Her Esper form is f*cking awesome.

FFIV - Guys win here too. Cecil and Kain carried the whole story in this game IMO, and the only real female character that stood out was Rydia.

So the score was:

Guys 4-2-1

Girls 2-4-1

Do my eyes decieve me? They must be because from what i can see you've said the girls of FFVII win. it'll be a sad day in FF when that happens.
 
Vaan's last name is not Ratsbane...that's just a nickname he was given since he hunts rats in teh Waterway...

Genderless gendweer for the win! Quina and Gogo both rock!
 
Meh i put down Ratsbane as he doesnt actually have a last name :P and its his nickname so meh....

But yeah the Girls Of FFVII > All - They could whoop everyone ^_^
