The Divided Factions

In the year 2014, the world was attacked by unknown entities, Earth was utterly beaten and almost crushed by this unknown force. Millions of millions of people were murdered, raped and pillaged. In one final attempt to defeat this enemy, the world's Government worked together to deliver one fatal blow. Every single nuclear bomb was directed towards the ship known as The Entity and severely crippled it. The ship crashed and the Earth's forces believed they won. However, they did not expect what happened next.

A mass force of humanoid creatures appeared from within the ship. They all looked human except for there exotic colours of skin and vivid hair, they were incredibly smart and physically fit and spoke all the dialects of the human race. They were known as the "Vast". They surrendered, but they were not exterminated, many countries wanted the aliens to live and let them thrive with us, due to this, war broke out between the two factions, the exiles, the small group who wished for the Vast to live with us, and the Liberators, the large amount of the population who despised the Vast and wanted to kill them.. Almost a hundred years passed as war continued, it began to settle, with only minor skirmishes in remote parts of the world.

On the eve of the 100th year of war, a truce was delegated between the factions, this is where our story begins. The Vast, who were forced from their homes, have thrived on Earth and become friends with many of the human natives. The Exiles, a kind group, wanting to live peacefully alongside the Vast. And the remaining Liberators, the haters of the Vast, wanting to crush them at all costs through acts of terrorism, not caring if anyone else is killed in the meantime. Will you seek to crush the Vast? Do you wish to live happily at all costs? Or do you want peace even if you must fight to gain it?

Rene Skylar - Sky City Barracks

The boy yawned as his sergeant ran him through the procedures of the day. His startling blue eyes wandered around the metal-plated barracks as many soldiers around him listened attentively.

"Today is an important day people!" The sergeant said joyously, he was pacing the room and noticed that Rene wasn't playing attention. "Captain Skylar! At attention!" He ordered, Rene snapped out of his daze and stood up speedily.

"Sir!" Rene said saluting, he was grinning slightly as the sergeant stared down on him.

"I would be most happy indeed if you paid attention Captain!" The sergeant shouted, despite having a slight smile on his face.

"Implants can be a bit of a bitch huh?" Rene smirked, the sergeant nodded, thinking of his own implants and their side-effects.

"Anyway! As you may have not heard, your job is to keep an eye out for any rebel Liberators and keep them from disturbing the peace." The sergeant told him of his mission. Rene frowned, something which the sergeant saw. "I know it's not your usual job kid, but with the war almost over, there ain't that much to do."

"I know, I know. It's just... Guard duty! Seriously! Boring as hell..." Rene muttered as he sat back down.

"Heh heh, right you lot! off to work! You know your sectors now keep it safe out there!" The sergeant shouted.

"Yes sir! Sergeant Anders sir!" The human and Vast replied, all except Rene. They all stood up in unison and began to file out of the room, Rene dawdling at the back. "What's wrong Skylar?"

"I dunno, I don't feel like somethings right. It feels like we're missing something." Rene told him, scratching the back of his head.

"I know how ya feel but best you get to your sector, if anything goes on I'll call you in. Deal?"

"Heh, you got it bro'!" Rene smirked as he gave a thumbs up and left the room.

Leon Leinhart - Sky City Slums

"Everything is ready sir." A raggedly clothed man said to Leon Leinhart. The man nodded his approval and lifted the large brown collar covering his mouth. The man ran off, to do other things Leon assumed. As soon as the man left, a woman, a lot smaller than Leon walked forwards.

"Hello there Leon." The woman said as she stood next to him and leaned against the wall. Leon's dark brown eyes flashed at the woman as he nodded in response. "Everything going to plan?"

"Yeah, everything's in place. It'll happen soon." Leon replied as several men went past them. He looked to the ground to keep them from seeing him.

"Still being searched for?" The woman asked.

"Yeah, why are you here Saab?" Leon asked, turning to the woman. She had long black hair and dark blue eyes. Leon could tell she was armed with a handgun but it was holstered.

"I'm Liberator as well you know." The woman named Saab replied. "Is Eagle Eye in place?"

"Yes, if you don't mind I have things to do." Leon told her as he re-lifted his collar and turned away. "You know where the rendezvous is. I'll meet you there with the others."

"Ha. See you later Leon." The woman smirked as the man walked away. "Foxy to Eagle Eye." The woman said as she pressed something in her ear. "Come in Eagle Eye."

"I'm meant to be maintaining radio silence Foxy." The man known as Eagle Eye replied over the radio. "What do you want?"

"Ooh cold as usual. You in place for the job?" Saab asked.

"Yeah and it's friggin cold up here. Winds not too bad, good day for an assassination."

Henrietta pushed her way through the crowd of the city slums. just farther up the street and as typically Marco, it was in a dingy side alley, behind General Lee's Chinese Restaurant. That damn idiot watches too many gangster movies she mutters to herself. The slum was packed full of thugs, thieves, scumbags and societies lowest. However, Henrietta brushed past through them, and they let her brush past them. Streamwater Lane... The signpost was greying and dented, but it was the place she was going to meet. For all safety reasons, Henrietta flicked the safeties off her pistols and walked into the lane.

Marco promised her a MP7 PDW set, but he was not unknown for backstabbing. Best to go in prepared. Further down the lane, a shadowy figure stood underneath the cover of the dim lighting at the back of the restaurant. It was not Marco. Marco was chubby and stumpy. This man was thin, stick-like and lanky. With careful steps towards the man, her right hand went to the butt if her pistol before calling out to the man. You. Who are you?

his toes hung over the side of the edge, the City limits were his favorite place, he could be 'calm' there. dressed in his black tracksuit bottoms and black hoodie he stood looking onto the horizon "hey man,it's time" a voice sounded from behind the young boy. he looked over his shoulder to see a boy of similar age "Black, It's time to go" the boy on the floor announced, he was dressed in white. "are red and blue in position?" the boy in black asked "yea man, they are" the other replied "then lets go" the boy in black announced as he lifted his hat off, pulled on a plain white mask and replaced the hat.

the boy in white, who had pulled on a black mask began running in the opposite direction "lets do this" muttered black. as he back flipped off of the wall and landed on the floor he spun around and glanced to check where White had gone. he then began following at a greater speed, and also instead of running around obstacles he jumped over them.

Zeria leaped down from the branch halfway up a tree, landing nimbly on the ground.

"So it seems that I have company..."

She pulled one blade from its sheath, drawing it in front of her in a defensive position.
~I don't get it.....what did I do to piss this guy off?~
Zeria laughed.

"So...you want to fight, Liberator? Bring it on!" she yelled out.

Seemed her dangerous personality was coming out. Ready to fight.

"Feh. I didn't expect you to find me here so quickly, you disgusting Vast", the liberator called out, coming from his hiding position.
"Calling me disgusting? You're the one whose a murderer!" she yelled back.

She charged at him, eyez blazing, blade drawn.

"I'll take you out for killing my kin!"

A bullet to the shoulder, but she ignored it, using her superior speed and zipping at the liberator, slicing his pathetic little pistol in half. The man was thrown to the ground, Zeria pointing her blade at his throat.

"Please don't kill me! I have a family!" the man begged.

Zeria growled.

"You lie....I can see it in your eyes....pathetic traitor!"

She kicked him hard enough that it broke several ribs and knocked him out as he hit a tree.
~I'm not a killer. Not of newbie recruit liberators like you.....I'm after one specific liberator.......the one who killed my family....~
She slid the blade back into its sheath, heading into the nearest town. She was a wanderer by nature, and was in search of the liberator who had taken away everything from her. And she wouldn't allow herself to die before the men were dead....

Hydra lied against a rail on his guarding spot. With the help of a pair of binoculars, he watched everything that happened in the slums of Sky City. Just the usual... the slums are full with people... all kind of people... from mere citizens who were just too poor to afford a house in another sector to the big baddies: Gangters, Drugdealers... all of 'em.

After a quick scan, Hydra saw something that caught his attention: a woman that appeared to be the liberator 'Saab', who had been on the lookout for a long time. Wow, must be my lucky day. I shall call in reinforcements... Hydra knelt down and touched his ear, initiating a radio call to HQ.

"HQ, target on my sights, 75% confirmation. There seems to be something going on. I'll initiate video transfer ASAP." As Hydra reported this, he tampered with his glasses, now he was sending over what he saw. Standing up again, Hydra relocated the woman.

"Send a few reinforcements, we don't want to attract too much attention."

Hydra kept his gaze fixed on the woman, who then started and blended with the great amount of people in the slums.

"Ending video transmission. Subject lost. Signing out" this said, Hydra waited for a response from the HQ.

Rene smiled as he heard his ally over the radiowaves. "Code in: Captain Skylar of the 13th Battalion to Hydra." Rene received the confirm tone and spoke once more. Yo Hydra." Rene said as he held two of his fingers to his ear. "You forgot to code in, that coulda easily been tapped." Rene smirked as he watched a bunch of kids running along playing tag. "Anyway, that Saab isn't of concern at the moment, she's a low risk target so don't worry about losing her."

Rene stood up from the bench he was sat in and closed his eyes slightly as sunshine covered his face. "Aren't you meant to be up on the surface for GD anyway? All senior officers have to. Let the Security Forces handle the slums." As Rene awaited his reply he walked towards the park, an area on the outskirts of town that allowed you to lean over the rails and stare down at the earth 100's of meters down.

As Alberto was walking down the street he saw what was usual in the slums, masses of people just walking around, never knowing if they could survive to see the next day. He thought, "I applaud these people for their survival, hoping to move up in their lives. But they had to start somewhere, just like I did." As always, Alberto was just checking out the sights, getting to know some of the people, even helping them in some point. But now wasn't the time to help. He just wanted to rest, so he took a stop in an alley behind Gen. Lee's Chinese Restaurant.

Al sat down on some barrels and opened his gym bag to get some gum inside. That was until a girl walked by, pistol drawn and threatened him. "You. Who are you?"
"Yo no soy una amenaza." Alberto said in Spanish, then said in a thick Spanish accent. "I am no threat young lady, but aren't you a bit too young to be carrying one of those?" He knew that if she did not back down, he would die, so he actually got his Colt Pistol ready for when she would strike.

Koffin stepped solemly into the Sky City Slums... His eyes drifted upwards mesmerized by the beauty of Sky City " So this is the world's most influential city?" Koffin asked himself as he still stared into the reflections of the light bouncing from the towering skyscrapers that looked as if they passed through clouds and made their mark in the heavens...

Suddenly though Koffin's day dreaming was interupted by a damp puddle he had wandered into whilst he was not paying attention... As the soaking feeling seeped into his shoes, he couldn't help but feel that all over as the contrast between Sky City and its slums took its hold on Koffin.

Koffin continued to walk through the dark streets as he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad could happen and very soon. The idea absorbed into his mind with the idea that this place he walked through was crawling with the scum of the earth... Looking in all directions did not matter, for every where Koffin turned was something disgusting that added into the distinguishing bad vibe the place gave off... To his left a dealer, to his right a thug, and just a few steps in front of him a prostitute. "Assume a virtue, if you have" Koffin mumbled to himself as he became sick to his stomach with the slums...

Koffin stepped down a dark alleyway that screamed of troubles to come, but Koffin kept a calm mind and carried through running his hand down the wall as to guide him to the other side... Yet before he could quite cross completley through the darkness he felt a cold breaze against his shoulder and suddenly he was cornerd by two men.

One man was a short man with a belly that stuck out from underneath his shirt, he stunk of something rotten and putrid and he carried a lead pipe in his hand ready to strike. Where as the other man was of an average height more skin and bones then anything else, and Koffin was ammused by the fact that he could even lift the knife he possesed... Surley these were low even among the status of criminals, carrying around weapons that could hardly be thought of as effective to todays standards... Koffin mapped out his surroundings and planned his actions ahead of time, but quickly became active when he saw the fat scumbag charge towards him with a lack of balance... Too easy Koffin thought to himself as he side stepped from the blow and grasped the fat mans by his arm. Then with a swift press of Koffin's hand he snapped the man's weak arm breaking the bone and forcing him to release the pipe...

Koffin looked around and noticed that the other man had since vanished, but with a quick servailence of his surroundings Koffin spotted the man running away. Then with a shocking quickness Koffin grasped the pipe and flung it at the man, hitting him the back of the leg shattering his bone and tripping him to the ground...

Koffin then approached the fallen man nad knelt down do grasp the knife from his hand... It would probly be safer to have some sort of protection Koffin thought to himself as he removed the knife from the fallen mans hand. Then Koffin spoke to the man "Let this be a lesson to you..." the man then whimpered in pain "What?" then Koffin replied "What you learn is up to you..."

Koffin then spotted as he exited from the alley way a small chinease resteraunt named General Lee's... Koffin approached the resteraunt an seeked whatver refuge he could in the building. He would surley want to dry his shoes before he entered into Sky City.......

Zeria had also entered Sky City, and was now perched up on a rooftop of a house.

"I wonder what information I can learn here. Perhaps that man will be here....and I can finally end my journey...and obtain my revenge...."

She leaned back, staring up at the sky.
~It's a beautiful night...~
She shook her head, standing up, then leaping from rooftop to rooftop, searching for a place she could stay, fiery red hair blowing wildly behind her...

Henrietta's eyes narrowed at the comment. For both a Vast and Human, she was small, age wise. However, after fighting for half her life, she had grown to use this misjudged thought to her advantage. Young or not, I am proficient with it. As she got closer to the man, Henrietta could see that his hand rested on something, most likely a pistol. It didn't bother her. Most people living in the slums were packing weapons. Not wishing for a fight and seeing that Marco wasn't here, then the man was nothing but a stranger. With a cock of the head, Henrietta twirled the M6D into the holster and scanned for Marco. Have you seen a fat short man around here? Before she had even finished, Marco emerged from the shadows as usual, carrying a case. Signorina Desiree, no need to be so...impatient. I have it right here. Marco patted the case in his hand as as Henrietta reached for it, Marco suddenly shrieked in pain as a round passed right through his chest. DIE!,YOU HALF BLOOD! Liberators blocked both ends of the alleyway. Escape up through the sky was impossible with flat walls on both sides. Both M6D flinged out of the holsters as bullets splattered into bins and garbage, the staccato of sub-machine guns whined in the air. Spanish! Get down! she shouted, grabbing him by the arm and tugging him behind the cover of a metal bin. In response to the small barrage of 9mm bullets, Henrietta shot back with her M6D, letting 12 powerful 50 caliber pistol rounds thunder back down at the Liberators.

Black and white arrived at the park and were met by two girls, one in red, one in blue "ladies" white announced confidently. Black on the other hand strode over to the climbing frame and climbed to the top within seconds. he pulled off his hat, his mask and his bag. revealing a face, no older than 18 years old his blond hair waved in the breeze. he sighed Deeply as the others removed their masks. "Steve, whats wrong?" asked the other boy, dressed in white.

Stephen looked at him as he placed the mask and the hat in the bag and pulled off his black hoodie and also placed that in the bag. he then removed a white T-shirt matching the one he had on from the bag and placed it on one of the bars of the frame. he removed his T-shirt revealing a heavily tattooed body. he placed the black T-shirt in the bag and pulled the white one on over his head "what are we doing guys?" he asked the other three as he zipped up the bag and hung it back over his shoulders. "we are passing the time as best we can, the wars below are to much, for children of our age to handle" Sarah, the girl in red, announced causing Stephen to let out a laugh "of course we are" he muttered as he flipped off of the frame and landed with grace.

Alberto was pulled aside by the young girl, when several Libs (a military term for Liberators) started shooting with their SMG fire. "Libertadores estúpidos, and I was only going to get some gum!!!" He pulls out his .45 M1911 from his gym bag, and started firing back at the enemy. When Al took cover again, he said, "Senorita, you better tell me what's going on here. Cause it looks like you did something that got you here."

Another burst of sub-machine gun forced Henrietta down behind the crates. "Senorita, you better tell me what's going on here. Cause it looks like you did something that got you here." Popping up, she took aim with the neural-link 2X smart-link scope, the Virtual HUD appearing before her eyes, and shot down a liberator, sending a powerful round hammering into his left chest, spinning him, before ducking down again. What I did? I'll tell you what i did. NOTHING! I'm just here for my gun. These bastards are after me because I'm a half-cast, half human half Vast.

Air City Slums.
Valcanya was standing in front of a small supermarket.''It's 5 o'clock, where the hell is he?''She murmured.A dark-skinned man wearing blue jeans,a black shirt and a light brown hat appeared''Hey Valcy I've got some great news.''Before he announce the news Valcanya cut him.''What took you so long Otto?'' ''You didn't let me explain,I was with Vaz and we stole the blueprints of the Cyrus Bank.'' Here take a look.''Otto handed her the blueprints.''Hmm, here the plan to steal it:The bank has got two entrances. The central entrance and an entrance from the parking. The first leads us to the reception and the other right to the place were the money are. This room has got 3 security cameras and many money in openings. To open them we must probably take the codes who are in the computers in the computers in the reception. The code to open the computers is written in the blueprints. We will need about 5 people for the robbery.''Valcanya said.

OOC: Just so people know, it's actually in the middle of the day and the slums are under the actual city and you can't see things like skyscrapers or the sky :) Also, everyone in the entire city will probably be celebrating due to the wars end so expect things like raging parties and shouts of cheer everywhere :P

Leon Leinhart - Sky City Slums - 5 Hours before the Treaty Ceremony

"Woooot!" A stranger shouted as he ran past Leon, he was a large, fat man holding a beer in one hand and what looked like a flag in the other. "We won the war! Ya stupid Libbys!" Leon carried on walking as the men and his several comrades ran through the slums screaming in joy.

"Pathetic," Leon muttered under his breath. "if only they knew what would happen in five hours time." The lone man walked down the streets as he listened to the remaining Liberator cells over the radio. He heard battles on one of the channels and became angry. He slipped into a dark alleyway and put a finger to his ear.

"This is Commander Leinhart!" The man shouted angrily at the men battling. "You're under specific orders not to attract attention dammit! We have a very delicate plan that needs to be kept hidden!" Leon lifted his collar slightly and frowned as he tapped into every single Liberators radio.

"This is an order to all of you. Cease all activities relating to battling the Vast and Half-Vast. NOW!" He let go of his ear and left the alleyway. As soon as he did so his cell phone began to ring. He flicked open the lid and placed it calmly next to his ear.

"Commencing Phone Scrambling." A voice said from the other end of the line. A loud beep was heard and Leon closed his eyes. "Scramble confirmed, we can speak freely sir."

"What is it Eagle Eye?" Leon asked calmly.

"I'm in position and ready for the job. Do I take out the primary target only or do I include secondary's?"

"If you can, do, but don't take any chances. The primary MUST be killed."

"Got it." The phone clicked off and Leon put the cell back in his pocket. He placed his hand on his collar and pulled it away, along with his brown poncho. His blue leather jacket could now be seen and his face was better to identify.

"Better get to the surface." He said simply as he pressed a button and waited for the lift to the surface to arrive.

Nok sat down near a cofee shop for a few seconds. He stood there for a bit and catched a glimpse of a small group of humans firing at a girl and a boy. Knowing this he didn't felt compulse to help the girl or the boy. He sat there watching their fight.

Some bullets passed right by his cheek but he didn't do nothing. When a bullet was going to hit him, he simply dodged it. He was amused by the lack of accuracy fo both the humans and the girl. He started wondering with she was bullied and the boy doing nothing. He was amused by it.

(Both Spartan and Tipsy.)

The Liberators suddenly stopped shooting for some reason, as if some order came through. Taking this opportunity, Henrietta leapt out of cover and shot down three of the six liberators in front of her, leaving the six behind her to the Spanish. Spanish! Take out those guys! At the third shot, the slid cocked back, empty. Mutha....she began cursing, tossing her gun to the floor before pulling out the twin chain rods. With a quick Fiizz, the rod materialised into a two metre long whip with energy blades along its length. The other three attackers froze for a split second, stuck between orders and their lives. In that second, Henrietta closed in within 2 meter of them. They were now at her mercy.

Henrietta specialised in CQC. Not many were capable of matching her, certainly not these liberator grunts. As one of the liberators raised his sub-machine gun, Henrietta whipped out one of the chain rods, slicing cleanly through, followed up by a side kick to the chest, cracking ribs. Now in amongst the enemy, their guns were useless. The chain rod whooshed down overhead towards the two. The quick one managed a side roll, barely scraping by while the other took the full brunt of the attack, a deep, long gash appearing from shoulder to hip. The final grunt, she finished him of with a front kick to the knee, shattering it, before a knee to the chest, cracking his ribs and finally a straight punch to the nose. Blood spurted out of his nose and his eyes turned white as he collapsed, unconscious.

Eric had been on the road for a couple days. When he had heard it has begun it's celebrations for the war's end, he decided to come in and join the festivities. On his way he had come accross a large group with the same idea as himself.
"Geeze mister you're shiny! Are you and angel?"
The sun had been shining on his skin making it sparkle for any who cared to look. The voice came from a little girl that stood next to him holding her mother's hand. She was staring at him with a look of curiosity. The girls mother gave a little tug on the her arm saying, "stop bothering the man. It's impolite to stare."
"It's no bother ma'am," Eric responded. "I'm actually quite flattered."
His smile showed his sincerity as he kneeled down to the level of the little girl. "Of the two of us, you're the angel."
The girl gave a little giggle. He then stood up and continued walking. In a short while the group had made it to the city. Cheers could be heard from every direction. At the edge, there was a shuttle waiting to bring passengers up. Eric was one of the lucky few to be brought up first. Within a few moments he was walking the streets of Sky City. This was his first trip ever to the big city and was curious as to what suprises were in store for him.

(OOC: Hey DK, if you've been on the road then that must mean you're out of the city right? Then try putting in your post that you got the shuttle up or the train which cirlcles around the pillars holding it up as it goes towards the city :) Thanks mate)

"S'up Rene?" Answered Hydra to the incoming call.

"You forgot to code in, that coulda easily been tapped."

"Well, not really... you're just paranoid... you know I have my way to prevent that."

"Anyway, that Saab isn't of concern at the moment, she's a low risk target so don't worry about losing her."

"Copied... she's out of sight anyway. but..." Hydra started to talk, but then saw some trouble back at the slums.

"There seems to be a kind of disturbance... a code 117, perhaps? By the likes of it, a Spanish looking guy and... I think a half-Breed... being assaulted by Libs... or something like that." Hydra was trying to focus on the battle going on.

"Get here, ASAP."

"Aren't you meant to be up on the surface for GD anyway? All senior officers have to. Let the Security Forces handle the slums."

"Hey, I made I nice find anyway... as they say... 'You wanna do something, do it yourself', heh. Anyways, I'm expecting you here... As soon as possible."

OOC: Sorry Danny, but I was dragged away. You may blame Ruka.
