Did you open your copy or kept it sealed to make a investment and sell it for a higher price in the near future. I see the book as gone up in price already and sold out at website's like Amazon already. I just got my copy this morning and was thinking of keeping it sealed.

I opened mine before I was even home. If I'm not going to use it, why bother buying it? I mean, its what a guide is for! No games shops around here will accept second-hand guides whether they're sealed or not, and selling on eBay is far too much hassle for me. I'll invest in something a tad more lucrative than a guide if I'm out to make some profits.

I keep regretting not shelling out the extra money to get this guide. I'm happy with my standard edition guide, but that hardcover and extra pages make me think it would've been worth it anyways >_<

For me, I buy things for myself, not to make a profit, so I'd open it and enjoy it myself.

open it! I did mine. I love how each one is numbered. only 210,000 were made! I forget which number I have but it's somewhere in the middle. I would have loved to get number 1 or number 210,000. lol I'm a nerd.

I was actually happy to get the hardcover guide at GS. I saw it on Amazon but didn't preorder and they sold out. When I went to pick up my copy of XIII, they had one hardcover guide left and with my Edge card, I got 20% off. It was only a little more than paying for the soft cover guide. xD

I haven't opened mine yet but that's just because I haven't gotten around to it. I usually don't bother with guides unless I'm really stuck or until my second playthrough. I will open it eventually though.

Mine has been open since I finished the game almost a week ago.

It's been a massive help with several things and I planned on using it for all not story related bits, as, after all that IS what guides are for. And I love the hard back covers and extra pages in the back, just something a bit special isn't it :ryan:

i opend mine, havnt used it yet... Im giving ff13 a break i think... giving this boss one last go

I have the Collector's Edition, as well. After obtaining 8's, 9's, 10's, 10-2's, 12's in the past - another fantastic guide for FFXIII. With all the effort, tips and artwork from Piggyback, it's worth it.

I opened mine as soon as I got home also. No point paying £20 if Im not going to use it >_> I didnt notice the number inside for a few days lol.

Say.......what's the difference between the normal edition and the limited 1??
i have the limited edition but since i havent seen the standard one, i dont see the difference.......extra pages/info n' stuff??

I think it might be the "extras" big on the back that recaps over the storyline and stuff. I was talking to Mits on MSN before about weapon upgrading and the limited edition was page-for-page the same as the standard version. So I can only imagine it's the last section, I'll have to ask her if hers has the "extras" bit. :hmmm:

if you guys are still looking for them. Check GameStops, one local to me still had quite a few last night, so I picked one up.

Okay, I'm kind of embarrassed that I keep thinking about this, but to the people who have the collector's edition guide, those extra art pages, have you already seen them on the net, like in the wallpapers or whatever, or are there any images you've never seen before?

The hardcover, limited print number thing, high quality paper honestly didn't matter to me, but it was only after I bought the standard edition guide did I find out about the extra art pages, and I can't find scans of them anywhere, but I just wanna know what the pics are! :gasp:

I collect everything of Final Fantasy, I bought the collector guide and the normal one so I use the normal and save the collector edition I love the hardcover at last one guide that is worth 35 bucks.
