The Great Gatsby

I just saw it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had only read the book fairly recently and I felt that the film did it justice. I'll agree though that the truth about Gatsby was leaked a bit too early, but it didn't bother me too much. I particularly thought the ending was executed really well and I found it quite moving. My friend thought that some of the motifs were portrayed too obviously, but I didn't have a problem with that. I particularly liked the way the green light was portrayed.

The soundtrack actually made a lot of sense to me. As a way of making the film more relatable and saying that the themes in the film are still applicable to today's world.

It was certainly one of the better films I've seen in a while.
