Right, so we've all heard of the glitch where you can go back in the game to Home, with all your stuff and everything, and I was just wondering how it works. Some say only on PAL, some say not on PAL, and some say you have to fight Ifrit, some say don't touch him. Any ideas?

This wont work on the European version.......maybe?

I heard it only works on the Japanese version some time ago and if thats the case it should
also work on the US version if I have my regions correct?

Ive started a NEWGAME+ on FFX before it was not so convoluted as this way though.

Apparently this glitch is in some copies of FFX: International. Seeing as the PAL release of FFX is essentially the International version, I think that the glitch is possible if you have an earlier copy of a PAL FFX.

EDIT: Galaxy's link says it won't work unless you have the Japanese or Indonesian International versions, so ignore my above sentence then.

After defeating Yunalesca in Zanarkand, if you return to Bikanel, you will notice that two men are blocking your way to Home. If the game has the glitch, you can slip past the two guys and play through the whole Home story event again (with Yuna in your party). I'm not sure about Dark Ifrit though. I haven't touched the game for a while.

OK, thanks for all your help. I guess it won't work on my game, but I was more curious than anything

The version I saw on youtube I swear was in English- anyone?

I think as it said in that FAQ that it only works in the international versions, I'm sure one has the option of English/Japanese voices/text or something like that. (Don't quote me on that though)
I don't think it works on many versions anyway, and if it did it looks a bit fiddly too.
Then again, it doesn't really matter as there wouldn't be much to be gained from going back there, apart from the cutscenes.

To be honest, if I was to go back, it would be to keep me interested while I filled up the sphere grid. If it doesn't work on my version, it's not exactly the end of the world. I'd just have to train up more the next time I play :)

Yeah, but it's still worth a shot eh?
Then again, you'd get better AP in the later places anyway, so why you'd want to go back there and train is beyond me. xD

I think it's probably because i've seen the cutscenes so many times I always go off to do something else when they're playing now. They don't grab my attention as much as they used to. :8F:

Buy an exploder from ebay, with it you can reset the global scenario(story) and set a flag for where you want to start.

But as Vanille of the Dia clan from Oerba says you get better AP in the latter stages of the game........try the AP+ auto abilities 2x & 3x AP,overdrive to AP.

Yikes, how do you get those?
Yuna and Lulu have their celestials, so Yuna has double AP anyway, Tidus has an ascalon, but that's about it with the double AP thing so far

Dust is you have to bribe certain enemies..........I willell you the items and the enemies:

Overdrive>AP: Door to Tomorrow x 10
If you lucky you can steal 99 of these things from Ultima Weapon.
Bribe a Mech Leader for 2 @ 18,500 gil.
Triple AP:Wings to Discovery x 50
Your best bet is to Bribe a Great Malboro for 8 @ 320,000 gil(kinda steep)
Double AP: Megalixirs x 20
You can Bribe Varuna in the Omega dungeon for 20 @ 280,000 gil
That should help........if you dont have the funds try Gillionare Designer Wallet x 30 I thin you get these for completing 1 of he Monster arena bits?

Oh excellent! I've used most of my money paying Yojimbo, but I've got some weapon with gillionnaire for Auron, so I've got that. Does that work only when I've got Auron in the frontline or is it like No Encounters, which works no matter where your character is in the list?

Im not really sure Dust it could work on a character in your reserves?

If your short on cash try and overkill power ful enemies to get there best dropped weapons with high abilities also you can fight the Mimic enemies in the Omega Ruins for 100,000 gil
x2 if you defeat ti with character who has gillionare in your party,I think they only have to be in your party once and the effect is carried to the end result in victory?
