The Hunt for the Cluckatrice

Okay, this is starting to peeve me off! Okay its a side quest for the hunters guild.

According to the guide, you kill everything in the area, which I did, leave, than reappear and chickatrices are everywhere basically. It says to sleep each of the chickatrice chicks, then go for the mother. However if one sees you, it alerts the others.

Now Lord knows how many times Ive tried this and still either the damn things wont go to sleep or they alert the others, even though Im walking over to it and trying to cast sleep on it.

Sometimes Im no where near it and it goes running off to alert the other ones! Please help me cause I want to do every last thing in the game, but this side quest is starting to put me right off.

Well I just did this hunt

Can`t see your problem other then you making yourself one .

You dont need sleep ,and you want the other`s alerted cause you wanna kill em all.

Kill everything in the area ,leave,come back and when the chick`s were there.

I simply went in all guns blazing ,Killed one of the chicks, big momma comes all rather angry, kill her and after that kill the remaining chicks.

Unless im missing the point and your not quite at the point were your not strong enough beat her.(Then the dreaded training is the only option).

I was only level 24ish and had basic weapon`s equiped.Allthough I had all quickinings unlocked.

Yeah.. This hunt (along with pretty much the rest of the game) was easy and had one strategy: 2 tanks, 1 healer. Follow that basic rule of thumb and you should do fine.

Although when I did this hunt really early in the game, it was slightly annoying because of petrification.

Im sorry but I havent caused a problem myself, Im simply following the guide, where it mentions to kill everything in the area, which I did, and use sleep on each chick, kill chicks, then kill mum. Im in my early twenties with this quest and Ive come to the part of the guide that says you are more then ready enough to take it on.

I'll just go in all guns blazing.
 
Lol i remember doing the Cluckatrice i kept trying to find it and find it and eventually i just got so pissed off i massacred every single living thing in site leave the area came back and there it was i was like O_O then i just went mental and murdered the poor bastards
 
The guide is very very usefull but it only suggest doing sleep cause it does`nt think you can kill them all without a complex staratgy............................... dont live by the book do things ya own way
 
I just went in there and hacked them all to death, no tactics or anything haha. poor bastards...

dont forget you have to kill everything, even the little rabbit things... or is that another hunt, but you gotta kill the rabbits as well, even if u dont want to.
