Playstation The Last Of Us by NAUGHTY DOG

I don't know why, but to me, the change made her look like she doesn't fit in with the rest of her surroundings. I'm not saying it is bad looking, but the change was drastic in graphics I think. But she still kinda looks like Ellen Page, just a bit more chubby in the face. Also...they should have just kept the old model. It was cooling. :(

The screenshots are amazing, too. I can't wait to get this game. It will be fantastic. :inlove:

Hmmm This game is something I am keeping my eye out for, it is not exactly the game I want this year. Not doubting how great it looks, but I have many other franchise games coming out in which I need to put first!! *cough*Halo 4*cough* so yes I will consider it in the near future.

It is a little bit weird as to why they decided to just change her model and like the above post says, she looks still like Ellen Page. Oh well eh? it's just a character they wont sue each other for having very similar characters. There is a difference between a character that looks like Ellen Page and a character that is Ellen Page through motion capture. Both games will be good.

Not sure if they're including a co-op, but I think co-op would be more suitable. Can't wait for this game.

Now THIS is good news. Been really excited for this game, and to hear that multiplayer has been confirmed is friggin' awesome. Like Mits said, co-op seems way more suitable for this game, so I don't know how they'd make it PvP only if anything. Fingers crossed for co-op!

:tori:

IMO Third person multiplayer is shit, so I am not excited about that. Sigh.....Co-Op is something I would embrace though.

wow. this game actually looks really cool :hmmm:

it would definitely appeal to me if the multiplayer was co-op as opposed to pvp :hmmm:

Okay that is all fine with me. I am a little aggravated they are putting the dlc focus on multiplayer though. It looks a bit longer than Tomb Raider so it should take me about 3-5 days to finish it once I get it. I will probably play about 3-4 hours the first day and progress like that from there. Just like what I did with Tomb Raider. I never touched the multiplayer till I finished the main story. For TLOU, I will probably be hooked on the multiplayer if it is similar to UC cause I love UC multiplayer. I will hope for some differences though and that naughty dog do not make it unbalanced like TR. So TLOU is getting one final concrete ending. Just like the UC games that never had any single player DLC.

I am fine with this. I just hope they dont ruin single player because there was too much requests for multiplayer. They did delay the game to polish single player so it should all be good. I cannot wait.

So like... no co-op in mp? That is a letdown.

Bit pricy though. :hmmm: I might buy one if its also for NL. :griin: TLOU will last a bit longer than BTS.

I really cannot wait till next month for this(I keep on saying that). I think the Post Pandemic edition would make a really good graduation gift for me. It is a lot of money but I see myself being a fan of this game for a really long time. I heard that Sony already registered TLOU 2 and 3 domains. Does that mean we will not be seeing UC4 for awhile?

^ It looks so awesome! I would honestly love that statue. I dunno.. I like collecting that stuff. One thing I do not like is that it does not come with the art book like the survival edition.

I don't know. This one looks really appealing to me.

Normally I do not get excited over limited editions, but this is an exception.

I probably see myself getting the 80 bucks one(Survival edition) instead due to the price tag, but who knows.

In the end I may think all I find appealing is the art book :lew:

I have been waiting awhile for this game. It better be worth the wait and live up to the title of my most anticipated game of the year.

:ohoho:

The Last of Us first review appears online.

The Last of Us 'an easy contender for best game of the generation', says first review

thelastofusnew.jpg

First review deems the Last of Us to be gaming's finest moment ever. Empire magazine called it a possible contender for best game of this entire generation. The Last of us also wins the title of best game by Naughty Dog ever, and it proves to be a masterpiece in its own regard. Empire are calling it "a game that will be remembered for ages"

Empire have given the game full marks before the review was taken down. 5/5

I am not even one bit surprised. Reviews of Uncharted 3 and 2 might have been phenomenal, but I see The Last of Us surpassing them. This is actually really exciting to see and I cannot wait till this game releases in the next 2 weeks. Right after E3 is just perfect. I wonder though.. does Single player and multiplayer make the game "perfect" or just single player?

It is too bad the review was taken down.

[h=2]The Last of Us players report a bug which keeps the game from auto-saving[/h] It seems as though The Last of Us players have run into a bug which keeps the game from auto-saving. This causes all progress can be lost if it’s not manually saved. IGN reports the bug has something to do with day-one patch 1.01 and its connection to PSN. Some users have found that the auto-save works fine when playing it offline, others report that staying offline with the patch installed solves the problem. Others stayed offline and deleted the patch to get auto-save to work. Sony has yet to confirm the issue as of press time, so we’ll keep you updated if we hear more.

The Last of Us is out today in the UK.

I have not been updating this thread at all. :(

Oh god that could be totally annoying. That better not happen to me while I am enjoying this game. I have been waiting too long for it. :hmph:

I do not plan to rush the game and pass it in a day.

Thanks for the update Ohri-Jin. I pick my copy up tonight, so it looks like I'll be staying offline when I start playing it. I'd hate to run into a freezing bug or forget to save and lose all of my progress :O
