Which Omnislash do you think is better? The on in FF7 or the one in Advent Children.

I think the one in AC looks real cool, but the one in FF7 looks like it hits harder (and more times). So my pick is the Omnislash from FF7.

Oh? Considering Sephiroth's remaining stamina during the final stage of their fight (assuming he wasn't tolled, like he expressed), AC's Omnislash seemed far more devastating. Granted, you can use Omnislash to the same effect in FF7 at the end of the game (mmm, spoilers), but I still stand by the Omnislash in AC being stronger.

More visually impressive too.
 
I liked the original omnislash a lot more. It was Cloud just going absolutely crazy on his enemy. His back and forth stance stops, he hardens his position, the fucking bright red glow around him, then it just explodes in a white whirlwind, holds his sword above his head, starts to glow and beam, the camera slowly pans over to your victim, and then you just see Cloud go goddamn apeshit on him... and after he's done slashing and stabbing, one last final blow. Cloud jumps waaaay above his victim, throws his sword way behind his head, sword glows even brighter, and then drops down on his foe for one last destructive blow. God I love that move!

I like the original omnislash as well, but it also states in Maiden Who Travels the Planet that the original is Zack's technique.
"Hey Aerith, did you see Cloud's finishing?"
Zack guided his energy into the second wave as Meteor was thrown back losing its force. "That was one my sword techniques too.

So I really much prefer Omni in the Advent Children movie. I feel that this one was more of Cloud's own technique and I personally loved the devastating attack it put forth during that scene. Using all of those swords was just wicked cool.
 
i prefered the original cause it had way more hits and each hit was really powerful
 
Definantly FF7's spiffy original Omnislash hits like crazy heck kicking butt loads! The one in AC, in my opinion, shouldnt even have been there in the first place. Should have kept the original.

Saix, you can use Omni Slash in other places beside Sephiroth. All you have to do is earn it in the battle square, at the secret battle. After that you can use as much as you want, and still do as much damage :peace:
 
I really liked both. The one in the game was longer and seemed to put down the bith-slapping very nicely. But the one in AC had all those swords, which was also very cool. If the two were combined that would be the ultimate! :woot: But for me it's a tie.
 
The one in AC was more visually impressive, in my opinion, because the graphics were better... and the swords, my god the swords! On the other hand, Cloud just loses it in FF7, and psycho attacks are awesome.

I'm going to have to vote for the omnislash in FF7.
 
Which one is better? Ughhh...another one of these? What does better mean? Trying to sneak in a "Versus Topic"...grrrr.

If you mean by which one looks better, it's teh modified Omnislash from Advent Children. If it comes down to which one probably does more damage...that's a tough one. If it comes down to which one has more sentimental value, then FFVII's original Omnislash is better; personally.

I don't know which one to vote for. Better could mean numerous things.
 
Simply which one you like better, BustaMo. I'm not asking which one you think would get the gold medal in the olympics, I'm asking which one you think is better looking.

Alot of people say that the one in AC is LOOKS better, but IMO, I really like the original. It looks like Cloud goes into a trance and becomes hack happy on his opponent.

Maybe I like the original Omnislash better because of how it looks when he uses it on Sephiroth at the end of FF7.
 
The original Omnislash will always reign supreme. I loved using that attack. I also had it set up so that Cloud did a slow version of Omnislash with just a regular attack. 4xCut is an awesome materia ability. 10k damage every hit. ^_^
 
I agree...the original was much better (and a lot more satisfying towards the end...beat sephiroth up even though he was my fav character)

the AC one was stunning as visuals go, but it wasn't that impressive damage wise. You didn't see Sephy bust into a ball of light, now did you?
 
The AC one looks better, but the original looks more powerful. I'll have to go for the AC one.
 
I have to go with the original just becuase it had that sentimental tie with beating sephiroth to it, and it was so freekin awesome looking.
 
duznt omni mean 12???? in ac cloud only slashes him 7 times i think. But it does look cooler in ac tho.
