The Omniverse : An Introduction

I believe many of the others here arguing against it's existence understand the concept as well

Perhaps I was mistaken. FF, the point of the omniverse, is that it is simply a way to tie everything within the forum together. In essence: Every thread that exists in this RP forum, IS the omniverse, and therefor every character that exists within these threads is consequentially apart of it.

If you were simply issuing a formal challenge in order to settle the implementation (or not) of this concept, please clarify. Otherwise, your statement of 'outside the omniverse' makes little sense. It's up to the mods to decide, regardless.

Because that is the concept that this site uses in its RPG. To that, I say "live with it". If you don't like the setting, don't RP :/

Did you as RP mod or one of the admins state this was a mandatory thing because I can't really find it. Nor do I think Rise Against ever said it was.

Now back to the term Omniverse, Omni or all is rather subjective in the terms of RPG. Gods can in an RP be Omnipotent (all power), still according to this theory they wouldn't be able to make themselves not part of the Omniverse because the Omniverse is supposed to include all.
So there we have two Omni-words that can't coexist together, ergo the words Omniverse and Omnipotent aren't abosolute.

Now if I make a character that I as player claim from that it isn't from the Omniverse it's not because that's how I as creator dictate it.

And I personally never said that the post should be deleted or anything, I just wanted to know if this was going to be made a rule (so far I don't think it is), and if it was I would like to oppose to it.

Apparently, Drachon and Firefrenzy have good points here. Introducing an omniverse is one thing. Saying, "Hey, you HAVE to play in a realm which complies to the omiverse," is quite another. (If someone tries to wave the current RP rules in front of me saying "Well, we have to play to these things!", hell I didn't write the majority of it.)

How about we settle this with a "trial by combat"? you (Gatepkr) and whom ever you want to invite with the best your omniverse has to offer (i am talking demigods here) versus the best of the stuff thats "not from the omniverese" (also talking demigods here) who ever wins is right That sound okay to you?

Bring all your friends i am quite sure me (and mine) will be able to take them on...

I don't see how this would settle it. Also, it isn't 'His' or 'My' Omniverse. It is Our Omniverse. You as well as everyone else come into the catagory of 'our'. On top of that, why would you battling him affect what would happen to this 'idea'? Anyway.. I'm okay with deleting these posts as well. I'm also okay however, with leaving them. By deleting them, you might eliminate the chance at this all being an example. If challenged again, we'd have to explain ourselves, All. Over. Again. So, either one is fine with me. Not that anyone cares what is and what is not fine with me. xD

Eh, I never said it was mandatory. I just pinned it up 'cause it'd be a shame if it was pushed to the bottom of the page and overlooked.

I am glad you figured out the word was false using that. Any other person would know straight off the bat. XD.

Now, back into context. They can exist because,like I said before, Gods and such are on another 'plain' of existence. You seem to not understand that at all. And yes, they can become "omnipotent", but that would be considering the use of all the plains and the like. XD.

Also, I never noticed that RA actually said, "OMG! YOU HAVE TO USE THIS". In fact, it was an introduction to what the Omniverse actually is. Also, it is hard to ignore something that is, in fact, surrounding everything no matter what. It's sort of...an expansion on everything? Allowing for unique things to take place? Yea, those sound right.

I am glad I can shed some light on an already dim topic. However, like I have said in another thread, if people aren't open to ideas, then everything will die where it stands.

I really don't see how having or not having this Omniverse thing will affect anything.

Personally, I am not jumping to believe it. You have to first believe that there are other universes, believe that energy and matter are able to jump from universe to universe through vacuums, and then believe the Big Bang theory.

For this forum though, the presence or absence of the Omniverse theory will have no affect on the RPs, since I have yet to see one that deals with other planes that couldn't be explained with 'magic'. It's more fun to just jump from plane to plane, making them up as we go, instead of discussing the scientific theories behind it all.
