BACKGROUND


The world is in chaos due to famines, wars, and public distrust. It wasn't always like this, it used to be peaceful and relative calm. Until the major war of the races and this led to the famines and distrust.

It is 50 years into the wars, three mysterious warriors have appeared giving hope to all. This isn't true they leave all in ruins and commanding the once hopefuls as immortals. Immortals are the ruthless warriors changed by these mysterious warriors.

Now one is outside the town of Gesal. What will the citizens do? Bow to the warrior or be slaughtered by him? Time will tell.

I have a question...can we use magic and encantaded weapons? Or do we have to keep weapons more realistic?
 
Weapons can be enchanted. Magic is allowed as well.

All I meant no futuristic weapons like Lazerz and light sabers.

Appearance: A well built young man, with red hair and brown eyes, he as short hair. And as lost his left eye, having a long red ribbon covering the scar.

Clothes: Mikhail uses black boots and a dark green vest which goes from the neck to his knees, he wears a brown belt around his waist and as a golden bracelet in the shape of a dragons head in his right fist

Personality: Quiet and calm, he does not enjoy being around others because he fears he might lose all those that he cares about. Some say he is very enigmatic and mysterious since he does not talk much about his troubled past.

Class: Red Mage/Monk

Weapon:

Dragon Bracelet: this bracelet allows Mikhail to gain a boost in streght giving him a streght very times above normal, it also allows him to get faster, more agile and with better reflexes. The bracelet is attached to his right arm and it does not come off like a cursed item. It also allows Mikhail to block attacks working as a shield.

History: Mikhail was a normal child with a rich family, his father was a famous merchant who possesed a lot of antic items. One day when he was at his father store he found an old bracelet and placed it on, the bracelet attached itself to Mikhails arm. When he told his father that he could not remove it, he was told that the bracelet was cursed and it would stick to it's owner forever, although he was shocked to know this, as the years passed he understood the powers that the bracelet possesed.
He traveled the world trying to discover a way to remove it until he found an old temple, there he learned from an old monk that the bracelet once belonged to a God of the old age and that if the person was not worthy of it, the bracelet would consume the owner sould killing him. After spending a few years in the temple Mikhail learned to fully control the bracelet and all it's powers hoping he could use it to stop the menace of the immortal warriors.

Attacks:

1) Sonic Rush: Mikhail moves at the speed of sound and launches a combo of punches which are very hard to avoid since they are very fast.

2) Tombstone:
Mikhail concentrates all of his energy on his right hand launching a yellowish orb against his opponents which explodes after contact. Leaving a small crater in the place it explodes.

3) Mirror Image: Mikhail moves very fast leaving a shadow of his image in the place which he stood confusing his opponents, this way they do not know which image corresponds to the real Mikhail and are caught off guard.

Magic skills

1) Fire Breath: An ancient magic taught to Mikhail by a monk which allows him to cast a sea of flames from his mouth. The flames sometimes take forms such as a serpent, a dragon or a phoenix.

2)
Cyclone: Mikhail creates a tornado which launches his opponents high into the skies and then sends them crashing down.

3) Manipulate: His eyes glow with such intensity that he ends up hypnotizing those with a low spirit.

4) Aquatic prison: Mikhail creates a wave of water which surrounds and imprisons his opponents asfixiating them.

5) Meteor: This ancient magic takes a lot of energy from Mikhail but it's very effective against a single opponent or against a small army, a dark mark appears in the sky opening a small black hole which sends small meteors crashing down against his opponents, good reflexes and speed are essential to escape being hit.

Weight: 11 stone<o:p></o:p>
Complexion: Virtually unblemished apart from a small, near invisible scar under his chin.<o:p></o:p>
Build: He has strong leg muscles from his training in swordplay which also makes him agile. His physical build however is not great so he is not as strong with his hand to hand or other actions involving his arms.<o:p></o:p>
Noteworthy features: Only the scar under his chin.<o:p></o:p>
Attire<o:p></o:p>
Shirt: Wears a tight, white shirt which is zipped up from the side. This reaches from his neck to the bottom of his lower torso.<o:p></o:p>
Trousers: He wears slightly tight black trousers which are held by a red belt.<o:p></o:p>
Boots: semi-large well worn travelling boots, they are dark brown in appearance and have cuts along the bottom.<o:p></o:p>
Hat: wears a western hat which is light brown in colour and has a black 3cm long line surrounding the base of the hat.<o:p></o:p>

Personality: Quite a calm and patient man, he enjoys reading and discovering new things. Always eager to learn and enthusiastic about exploring new places. He is often likely to taunt his opponents in duels and hates to fight someone he does not consider a challenge. Despite his calm personality, in combat he may transform into an aggressive warrior if angered or just under stress. When it comes to books he favours history, geography and fantasy books.<o:p></o:p>
First impression: Friendly to anyone he meets, he often tries to talk out of a fight if that is the person’s intention. He often tries to become friendly with new people new to develop a bond with them. If a person knows something he does not he may become slightly more cold towards them if they are not open about the information.<o:p></o:p>

Weapons<o:p></o:p>
Shifter blade: A unique weapon to him which can change into different forms, it starts out as two identical shortswords but can become one giant greatsword or a long and thin rapier-like weapon.<o:p></o:p>

Shortswords: The shortsword form of the shifter blade is two identical blades, they are light brown in colour and are single edged, the blade part is only sharp on one end and is also collapsible to change to either the greatsword or rapier form. The blades are 3 feet long and 1 foot wide.

Greatsword: the greatsword form is formed when the shortswords are placed together, it is slightly longer and weighs twice as much as the shortswords. The blade is also twice as long as the individual shortswords and has a few indecipherable runes which glow red when the blade is used. It is believed they have some kind of magical effect on the sword’s power. The greatsword is 6 foot long and 3 foot wide.<o:p></o:p>

Rapier: The rapier form is made when the shortswords are placed together and collapsed, it is as long as the greatsword but much lighter, this only has the point of it’s end as a dangerous part, it is also easy to handle and obviously lightweight. The rapier is 6 foot long and 2 inches wide.<o:p></o:p>

Crossbow boltgun: Gilga’s ranged weapon is a crossover of a crossbow and a gun. It has 2 bows at the end which are stuck together with a small cannon in the center which fires a high speed arrow. There is also a small light which targets in a straight line and has a zoom in lens just above it for more accuracy.<o:p></o:p>

Weapon holders
Shifter blade: The shifter blade is set to rapier form when sheathed so it only has a thin lightweight sheathe on his left side, the sheathe is decorated with very small rubies and emeralds down the sheathe.

Crossbow boltgun holder: The crossbow boltgun is held over the back, a small backpack holds the top half of it making it easily drawn and ready for use upon needing it. The backpack is dark brown and has no pockets, the straps are jet black.

Abilities
Shortsword abilities<o:p></o:p>
Whirlwind fury: Performing a high speed spinning action with both arms outstretched he starts to levitate slightly and also sends an enemy in the air if his blades can reach them.<o:p></o:p>
Blade to leg smash: Performs two quick head slashes before kicking the enemy in the torso to force them back.<o:p></o:p>
Eternal judgement: Jumps off a nearby structure like a small cliff and slams his blades into the ground causing a fissure to chase an enemy.<o:p></o:p>

Greatsword abilities<o:p></o:p>
Mighty blow: Performs an overhead smash into the ground causing the very earth to tremble.<o:p></o:p>
True nature: Using the full extent of the rune’s power Gilga charges with his blade in a stabbing motion into an enemy. Speed is increased during this attack to make it harder to dodge.<o:p></o:p>
Mega burden: Using the runes he transfers the weight of his greatsword into the enemy’s weapon making the greatsword as light as a feather.<o:p></o:p>

Rapier abilities<o:p></o:p>
Swift skill: boosting his speed he performs a flurry of slashes finishing with a powerful lunge at the enemy’s heart.<o:p></o:p>
Quick reflexes: become more manouverable he leaps over his opponent and becomes more evasive to melee weapons.<o:p></o:p>
Hell blast: Stabs his blade into the ground and creates a large blast of magma which circles Gilga for one second.<o:p></o:p>

Crossbow boltgun abilities<o:p></o:p>
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide: Upon firing a bolt Gilga can then control the direction it travels in while it retains it’s speed.<o:p></o:p>
Firepower: If an arrow is fired through a lantern or another source of fire the arrow will be enveloped in flames but will not burn out if it is being controlled.<o:p></o:p>
Arrowblock: If an arrow is controlled it can deflect one projectile from hitting him or an ally.<o:p></o:p>

Magic<o:p></o:p>

Protective spells<o:p></o:p>
Inferno of eternity: Envelops his body in flames causing weapons to dull if they enter the flame.<o:p></o:p>
Icy sanctuary: Envelops the body in crystallised ice which can parry any weapon blow.<o:p></o:p>
Lightning barrier: Magnetises any metal weapon towards him and rendering it’s weilder unable to control it, though it pulls metal weapons towards it this does not place him in damger, leaving a 2cm pocket of static which holds the weapon in place. When the power is removed this forces any weapon currently held in the pocket of static to be forced back at great speed in a small shockwave. While this shield is active Gilga cannot use his sword but his crossbow boltgun can be used, the distance to his target however stops him using it while his enemy is held in the static.
Earthly shield: Creates a large boulder which levitates above Gilga and can be controlled with ease.
Healing spells<o:p></o:p>
Greater life: Heals skin wounds on the body.
Return consciousness: Makes an ally regain consciousness.<o:p></o:p>
Remove wound: If a piece of a weapon has entered the body such as a spearhead or a shard of a sword it can be pulled from the entry wound.<o:p></o:p>

Magic costs<o:p></o:p>
Protection spells do not take much to use depending on the ferocity of the attack it is protecting from.
Healing spells are dependant on the greatness of healing that is required and can be controlled to minimise fatigue. This does not however stop it from straining his body muscles, making him more sluggish and not able to parry blows as effectively.

Quick history<o:p></o:p>
His father was a scholar and his mother worked at home, raising Gilga. Both died from the war leaving a certain emptiness inside which desperately needed to be filled. He created a mental block to minimise the pain and led a new life, he had a natural curiosity for the unknown and joined his first expedition at the age of 17. After a few successful digs he first encountered trouble at 19 where all his men were killed in a collapsing cave leaving him in a small shrine which was holding the shifter blade, a weapon that can be used for greater good or great evil. He only managed to decipher one phrase, “A day will come when the *unknown phrase* will be used, the weilder will determine the fate of the world, he will not however achieve this alone.” Before he had time to finish deciphering the text the wall collapsed condemning it to dust.


During the time trying to escape from the ruin he discovered the abilities in the blade, by surprise he discovered ways to shift the blade to a different form, considering the era it existed in it was a technologically advanced weapon, it even had slight elemental properties. He kept it in his bag in it's shortswords form and managed to find a strong pick-like piece of metal, upon exploring the cave further he found a small ray of light just across a lake. When he tried to walk through he discovered one fatal error, in caves water is not what it seemed, he nearly drowned getting across and managed to cut his chin on the rocky surface of the cave, which bled greatly from the large edge of the rocks. When he arrived struggled to the other end, after a large struggle with the water's wretching grasp, he arrived at the light. With the 'pick' in hand he struck at the wall various times, eventually freeing the light to envelop the cave, Gilga then climbed through the hole he had made and met the sunlight. He held on tight to his chin to avoid losing too much blood and began to look for medical aid.


After a few days trek he encountered a village 20 miles away, after a trek down to it he collapsed, the loss of blood was too great for his body to withstand any longer. When he awoke he was in the house of a skilled swordmaster. After a long negotiation he agreed to help him train for the ‘coming doom’ and to get him a supply of blood to replace what he had lost on condition that he would help him gather herbs for the villagers, a fair deal it seemed. Life seemed to be looking up for Gilga until his master fell to illness, taking what he knew he left the villagers after many farewells and set off for the unknown, he needed answers before the world would need him and he began to explore the world outside the quiet village, he encountered a small monastery of monks who upon gaining each other's trust he gained access to their extensive library where he learnt some arcane lore, his time however was cut short when the monks were slaughtered by a group of bandits.

Cursing himself for his inability to protect the weak he abandoned the monastery, leaving his arcane learning at a standstill, he left here and proceeded to find a place to live a quiet life and remain unknown to the world, he only lasted a few months before he had a vision from the skilled swordmaster who had taught him how to use his sword. "The time has come for your skills to be used, go now to Gesal and gain your allies. The world shall not be safe until you reach here. Once you have unleashed the true power of your weapon, you shall have to accomplish your destiny". Leaving no time for a reply he disappeared, leaving Gilga in a state of confusion. he pondered his thoughts and encountered a merchant on a passing day. He purchased a crossbow and a bowgun and for some more money he got some information on the location of Gesal.

As the crossbow and bowgun were not very effective as they were, with his limited arcane teaching he managed to merge them together, taking the strong parts of both. Unfortunately the strength of the spell gave him slight amnesia, making him forget the stronger spells he once knew. Luckily he still remembered his mission and set off for Gesal. Setting off for the unknown, he knew not of what to expect in Gesal.
 
I don't think so, if Vextra thinks he is too overpowered he is free to say so and I will edit it.

I just started making more powerful characters, I may have made them too powerful, so if I have then I can change it. If it does bother you Vextra that I don't have an energy cost for my skills I can add that too.
 
What would you reccomend I do then Vextra? Take the power down in my attacks? Make larger fatigue occur from spells? Remove some spells?

Or do you think something should be added in?
 
Take a view spells out and reduce the power of others.

The null shield looks a bit strong and one of the healing ones does as well.
 
Alright, I will see what I can do.

EDIT: I took out null shield and I downgraded my healing spell. I also removed my level 2 attack spells as I can't think of anything good to replace it currently. How is it now?

A normal person, or an not normal for that sake.
cant have a GREAT SWORD, a rapier, a crossbow, AND 2 short swords.
I mean, common. how strong is this dude..

If it where me,
Id nag about the weapons.

if you had to have the greatsowrd, you had to get rid of ALL the otehrs.

if you choose to get rid of the great sword.
Id say you could have the crossbow, and EIGHTER the rapier, OR the short swords.

then, you mind explaining how he can wield the great sword?
and carry all those weapons?

this is my opinion.
or a normal opinion from any balanced players state.

Be it known, the great sword normally EXCEEDS 2 metres, that is around 9 or 10 feet.

Lol. you do know, if this is activated, your enemy can just chug a sword at you, and you will kill yourself ^^

also, why does your char have all the elements?
And, where did he get those?

I think it is too much, to have command over every element, without a good reason.

Well as I stated by my shifter blade they transform into one another, the crossbow can just be over the back or something. I can edit this in later, as for the greatsword, just because I don't have the physical strength to use it with ease doesn't mean I can't use it at all. It could just be a slow weapon due to my physical drawback.

And for the greatsword's length, since it can change to shortswords and a rapier I can't have a 10ft greatsword without boosting the length of the shortswords, effectively making them longswords.

The lightning barier is under my control, as I control your weapon rendering you unable to control it so you wouldn't necessarily be able to kill me just because i magnetise it, again this can be edited later today.

Since my character reads books he can pick up magic this way, I can just edit the history to make more sense of his skills and magic.

Does that answer your nagging so to speak?

and the crossbow is ok.
since you will technically only be carrying 1 sword, and 1 crossbow.

Don't worry about it, I will go over it and make it more understandable if I can.

Is there anything else you find confusing? I would find it helpful if you could spot these errors, if any. I will have to say where these weapons are sheathed too.

This is also the reason, to why I let the RP mods, reek havoc on my char.
cause when they are done, it is better then it initially was.
 
Yeah, it is just unfortunate however that I can't have access to msn during school. I might see if I can catch you in a few weeks, I go home for the weekend in two weeks so I will try to talk to you then.
