KH The Platinum Match

um.... i just hit him alot =). actually, ultima keyblade, hi-pots (for when he drains your energy and mp) and practice. i was able to own him on normal or hard. (i have kh2 now, so i cant even get kh1 sephiroth onto yellow health bar now)
 
My first strategy was to level up, that way Sora could last more damage, deal greater damage, and simply because of experience. Of course, this did not happen until several attempts to defeat him failed.

A Keyblade type did not matter to me most, as I used Oathkeeper or Oblivion often for their strength. Oathkeeper mostly for its increase in magic bar.
 
I packed his pockets with Elixers, which I rarely had to even look at. :/

Oblivion for me. Probably because I just like the way it looks......and I didn't have Ultima Keyblade at the time...I found good use in Strike Raid for when I didn't think I could quite hit him otherwise during the process of him casting Sin Harvest Angel. Stupid move...

I ended up jumping at him for the most part, to his left. At least that way, his increase in swing couldn't catch me in mid-air.


And locking on, of course.
 
well i was level 100 ,equipped ultima weapon,packed with ethers i use to heal myself with curaga
 
meh i equipped ultima and full inventory of hi potions or elixers or mega ethers
i also equipped all mp boosts and the ability that increases your mp after you get hit.
then get 1 combo plus and 1 air combo plus
if i had ethers with me i would spam arcanum a few times then use ether then spam it again.
when his hp is down to the last few bars i just use arcanum or sonic to finish him
when he uses decend heartless angel i use strike raid
 
I have beaten him at least 40 times by now because I use him to level me up after lv 80 for both my game file.{and I fight him for fun now}

My stradegy is to be at least lv 75 with Metal chocobo,Oblivion or Ultima weapon{I used the oblivion}. I used to equip omega arts and something else{it was ages ago and now I have 3 gaia bangles}. I use hi potion if he manage to hit me with sin harvest{which he never does anymore}

Recommended abilities:
Second chance
dodge roll
strike raid


His moves are really predictable for the first few bars of health he would just slash at you with his masamune all I do is dodge roll to his shadow so he miss me with his swing attack him with a 4 hit combo he disappear and I dodge roll to the opposite way I'm facing {if he doesn't teleport back after the dodge roll immediately do another dodge roll or he will hit you}

After taking down the bluff bar and the first bar of health he will do a long jump and starts to use move such as sinharvest,fire move and that crazy slash move he use.{he is also now way harder to hit}

After a while he would temporarily turn invincible
and use meteor. After the meteor he will be invincible for a few seconds so dodge his shadow balls and tornado attack.{there's less chance of sinharvest attacks now}

If you don't finish him quick he will use meteor again.

Tips to avoid sinharvest: Turn on your volume for this fight when he teleports and started saying something lock on to him and use strike raid on him to prevent sin harvest .if you do get hit with it quickly use an item on yourself{I use hi potion} but that's only the case if you have second chance otherwise you'll die.
 
I was in the 90s when I beat him Ultama Keyblade, Crystal Crown and something to decrease dark damage. I use the ability I dont no what it is called but you get hit and you gain MP. I found Strike raid useful. Pack elexers a lot of elexers. when he uses Sin Harvest use them fast.

Just if you wanted to know. When Sephiroth casts that spell he says "Descend, Heartless Angel" he doesn't say "Sin Harvest". Some players may be confused because of the bad voice acting of the one that was doing Sephiroth's voice at KH and KH 2.
Also I know that in the strategy guide says "Sin Harvest", but believe me when I tell you that it's "Descend, Heartless Angel".
 
Yeah I found out that in some other faq.

The voice actor of kh1 really sucked.It was Lance bass {the guy who announced that he was gay not so long ago}<{note not saying anything bad about gays just saying a fact}
 
It's elixers and I never really use Glide apart from avoiding him while he's invincible. I don't really like wasting elixers on him if I ever get hit by descend heartless angels I'll just use a hi potion and let him hit me so my mp will recharge{mp rage{ and then just cast cure and I'll have full health and slowly I'll recover all my mp.
 
well in kh1 cure is so easy to use you hardly have to use elixers at all{I haven't used a single one yet}
 
I have ann accumulative strategy to beat Sephiroth, including Ultima blade, approx level 80, second chance, elixers, dodge roll, and Ars Archanium (??? or was it the Ragnarok -it's were you swipe repediately under a brief moment of invincibility).

The real strategy is to memorize Sephiroth's attack motions. Know when to run back then jump into the fray. I recommend deflecting his attacks b/c it sets him back too.

And follow him across teh arena -esp for the sin harvestign attck -an dby the way, IT IS "Sin Harvesting" because it even says so in the official strategy guide to KH1.

Just basically beat him into submission!!!!
Then ownage!

Unfortunately, you read wrong, AND heard wrong XD The Guide says "Sin Harvest", but the actual character, Lance Bass, says "Descend Heartless Angel". For extra clarification, listen to good ol' George Newbern ;)
