The Rain on the Plains...

So I got a little tired of the main storyline and decided to run a couple of the sidequests and hunts...cheater that i am, I've got the Brady Games strategy guide and all, and it tells me that some of these sidequests (i.e., the sick guy in the little village and some others) can only be completed when it's raining on the Giza Plains.
The problem is...I've just come down off Mt Bur Omisace, and now when I go back to the plains, it's dry again.
The book does make a reference (regarding one of the hunts, involving the ring of the toad) that the plains DO in fact dry up, and then eventually, it starts to rain again.
My question, then, is when does that happen? Is it based on the completion of certain game events, or is it a matter of playing time, or the level of my characters???
Please help, I don't want to repeat 10 hours of looting, leveling, and wandering if I don't have to...
 
It dependent on the game timer. If it's an even number it's raining, if it's an odd number then it's dry. (If this is wrong, switch even and odd).

what about the game timer, though? do you mean in terms of hours, or minutes, or what?

like i said, i can just go figure it out for myself...but as long as i'm online looking for video of that aqua teen press conference (which by the way, was an utterly brilliant reversal of the joke which is the American media), I figured i'd ask again...

I KNOW I KNOW!! Maybe you can go out and by more cheat books and ask everyone you DONT know how to play the games you've already invested money on. Then you could thank them by "hooking them up" with some worthless link!! OH you've already done that.... k well keep trying!! lol:P

so i tried what's his face's time plan, and it is an utter failure, much like mmkay's attempt to be humorous or witty or insulting, or appear intelligent in any fashion.

anybody else got any other ideas?
 
There's a seeq at Southgate who,if you ask,will tell you whether it's raining or not,instead of running all the way there to find out.I think he's the one across from the teleport crystal.Hope it helps.

since you're already at the southgate, you could just look to the plains and you can tell if it's raining or not. :cool:

It even brought about those really pesky elementals!

lets try and keep your politcal ramblings to the other forums you are obviously part of.

good tips did come out of it though. . . so thanks to the mature audience that does an excellent job of answering questions.... and not feeling obligated to "reward" the other party w/ some crappy link.
