pretty much, it's basically a way to play various games on your computer that are normally on different consoles. course, i don't need one due to the fact that i have every console except an N64 and a PSP, and i'm planning to get a PSP sometime soon

Basically it's a program for playing games for PS1 PS2 etc on PC, However there are many emulators for each console
