The Unsent

Well, no fiends are touching Valefor for a long time while Auron 'touches' DZ for 10 years therefore he ages.

I've heard a theory that only unsent summoners (Seymour, Yunalesca, Belgemine) can change their appearance since summoners are able to manipulate pyreflies. Maybe Yunalesca and Belgemine manipulate their appearance so they won't look like 1000 years old corpses while Auron can't?
Is Maester Mika a summoner? If he isn't then this theory is out of the question too.

That theory is indeed plausible.

Yeah, but I also don't remember Maechen ever being said to be thousands of years old, or even unsent at all... I could be wrong though.

Maechen said it in FFX-2

He also shook Lenne's hand a 1000 years in the past

His memory did take a hit with time, though

Bah, FFX-2 creates plotholes for X! If Maechen never said that he's 1000 years old, than we'd have an explanation. I still can't figure out how
Tidus could come back
in X-2! Doesn't make any sense! So the fayths
got enough rest for 2 years and are ready to start dreaming again or did they gather Tidus's memories.
Sorry I got a little off-topic there.:eek:uttahere:

I'm not sure of the exact mechanics, but he was brought back as a real person, not an aeon again. Therefore, they'd probably have to dream him up once, but they wouldn't have to keep doing so long-term.

Never really thought about it... But it is interesting.
Guess it is really because he was in DZ. Tidus is unsent too, right? Or at least something very similar to being one. I don't think there is much difference between being a dream or an unsent, as they both don't belong to the real world.
If there is a difference between them, then maybe is that dreams can age.
So maybe Auron, when he was in DZ, became a dream (he was in a dream world after all) and thus aged like other in that dream.

Don't know how much truth in all this anyway...
Still, it is what I want to think. For me, those kind of missing things in the FFs like "believe in whatever makes the game better" or so :busta:
