THERE IS A REMAKE OF FFVII COMING IN LATE 2012

I think we've had enough of Final Fantasy VII the past 14 years :mokken:

I remember when I was like eight or seven years old. I got my first playstation around that age, and I was so happy and so excited. In this system came a demo CD featuring several of the sony games (at the time they were limited). I played the Final Fantasy VII demo and it was a blast, probably the best game sony had ever created at the time.

I was young and naive and did not even realize that the game was only a demo, and when I saw that the game was actually three discs... it blew my mind. I was sooo excited. I thought that maybe the game would revolve around blowing up all of the reactors... because thats what the demo was.

After I got the game, and played it through, I told myself that this was the greatest video game ever created in this era. The story and characters and playability was a remarkable acheivement for its time, and it took my mind in places that I did not think it could go. Needless to say. This game made me fall in love with the final fantasy saga.

Hell I am only 24 years old, its not like I played the old school games when I was a kid, they were before my time. When they were around it was too complicated for a child to understand. Number VII opened the portal that made me want to play them ALL, old and new. Because of FF VII, I have now played them all.

I know a lot of people think the game is over rated, but there are a lot of people who opened up to FF because of this game. I know that they have improved and adjusted these games to the growing age and ever changing technology, but that does not mean I will ever forget and lose faith in what a great game this was for its time.

This game was a blast to me. Among all of the others FF games, this one in comparison took the boldest step towards change, and started a legacy of new born styles. I Remember playing FF titles that were better then VII, but I never remember having as much fun. I am aware of growing older, becoming more skeptical, and more picky about games. This game I have promised myself, I will never lose the warmth and enjoyment I once felt.

IMO, I think this game deserves a remake more then any of the final fantasy titles. If we remake the old ones, we will not recognize the characters or the places, because they were so primative looking. This game features a perfect ground for a remade adaption. We know what the characters look like, as well as the places. When we were young, this game was beautiful. The only reason its not so beautiful anymore is because it has been trumped by change. I say lets see that change, and make it beautiful once more.

It will either happen one day or not. Either way, I will welcome it into my home and my system.

Isn't the youtube 'remake' just the ending of Crisis Core. Anywhow, I agree, a lot of success and more importantly continual success is based on how the game was received at the time and for the people involved/ appealed to.

Best put this remake at the backburner and deliver us FF vs XIII and KH III first before thinking of such nonsense such as a 'remake'

They have a few similarities. The intro is the same (minus the logo part), but the train was different at the end of Crisis Core. It didn't do the Final Fantasy VII part where it stops and he jumps off it; it just keeps going and he keeps standing on it.

Is that so. Ah, SE is such a tease with that video anyway. I wouldn't be bothered too much until I see the game in my hands.
