Why does Tifa leave a 4 year old in charge of the bar when she joins Cloud and Barret?

Who controls that satellite for Barret's Satellite Beam?

Those 2 guards in the Sector 7 Slums: What do they guard? Is it that door Cloud and Aeris see Tifa emerge from in the Sector 5 park?

If only Sephiroth could use that sword, how was Tifa able to use it?

Why is the only entrance to the Gold Saucer in a run down slum called North Corel? Do rich people actually travel through North Corel to get there? And do they get mugged when they do?

I'm sure there's more to add. This is just what comes to mind now.

Hahaha. I always wondered the same thing. :wacky: Fortunately for all involved, there are no child protection services in fantasy worlds.

That's what I always thought. I could be wrong though.

You might want to check Dragon Mage's thread. I'm not sure if it's explained there but if there is a reasonable explanation, she'll likely have included it.

I guess the location was ideal for the cable car thing that takes you there. :hmmm: Or Dio just enjoys teasing poor people.

Well considering Tifa got her ass handed to her, it's safe to say she did not use the blade. They were probably referring to combat proficiency.

If you don't know how to mix drinks and hold down a bar by age four, you don't have what it takes to live in Midgar.

It controls him

Huh I don't even remember these guards.

Use it well. It's a pretty unwieldy weapon and it requires a lot of strength and skill. Tifa was probably just able to lift and try to use it out of fury, but wouldn't have any kind of proficiency with it. This proficiency might be required for killing Pres. Shinra.

That little shopping area of North Corel, plus the fact that an airship can fly over there, tells me people either just come in through the Corel entrance (where the campers are like the poor merchants trying to make money via proximity to a popular locale), or they live elsewhere around or at the Gold Saucer.

I started a new game of this last night and was thinking the exact same thing about marlene being left to mind the bar lol.

i thought that door was to the tunnel of the train track... when you jump off the train to go bomb sector 5 and walk back, theres guards tehre, i jut assumed it was teh same place.

Now Im not so sure lol

I like this answer best for the Marlene running the bar question.

And yes, I do think when Cloud said only Sephiroth could use that sword, he might have meant "use it well," but he killed some rich corporate dude (pres. Shinra), so I'm thinking lots of people could have used it against him. I also remember Tifa picked up that sword and in a fit of rage, slashed Sephiroth (I think it was... can't remember exactly how that played out). Then again, Cloud isn't the brightest of the bunch anyway, and had some memory problems, so I kinda chalk it up to Cloud's memory on that one.

I'd guess that rich people could simply afford to charter a plane to fly them there (much faster than a gondola) or fly in on their own planes, thus safely avoiding a mugging. If these rich people didn't have either option, a bodyguard is a likely possibility, thus saving them from further mugging. ^_^

I'll go with this answer and assume that any rich person could have hired a bodyguard, as the bodyguard business seems like a common profession in the world of FF7.

I like these questions! Make more!
I have a bunch from FF9, which I'm going through again, but when I go through FF7 again I'll make some more.

Also, one more question to add...

Why do shops sell gun arm attachments if Barret and Dyne are the only 2 to have such an operation?

Why does Tifa leave a 4 year old in charge of the bar when she joins Cloud and Barret?

This is the only one I can really honestly and truthfully answer: a leap yer birthday.

The 4-year old is actually 16. She was born on February 29th and has only celebrated this occurance 4 times in her life. She looks good and young for her age, but she is mature beyond her looks and years.

Actually, it just may have been the way things were in that area. Everyone knew and trusted each other so Tifa and Barrett thought they would only be gone temporarily til the job was complete so they could come back and relieve the girl from her duties.

Something I've always wondered...

Who opens Cloud's cell when Sephiroth attacks the Shinra HQ? The obvious answer would be Sephiroth but I don't really see that adding up.

Who controls that satellite for Barret's Satellite Beam

I'm guessing that if they're happy to let Marlene tend Seventh Heaven in the Slums, then they're probably happy to have her operate a deadly satellite as well...

I honestly can't understand why none of this has occurred to me before. But then, it has been a very long time since I've played this game. :wacky:

I was happy in my ignorance about these things, you have destroyed my childhood, but now come you mention it.......

How does the truck break through a foot thick glass in the motorcycle scene? Moreover, why are the two rear wheels near the middle of the truck instead of the edge?
