Things That Tick You Off about gaming

I mostly hate the pay for playing an online game, like FFXI, and like 1 dollar a month and I don't even have allowance? Oh god, I wish it's free cause alot of gaming with paying fees can ruin the game, since its "expensive-looking" graphics are not that reliable to play on, since it stops and takes a long time to load.

Tediousness.
Sure lengthy quests can be challenging and to an extent fun, but why drag them out? Why BORE us before we've even got far into the game at all? Bah.

Beginnings of games (primarily RPGs)
Again, wtf is with the longevity? OKAY SO YOU HAVE A NEED TO INTRODUCE A FEW PEOPLE... but we can easily get that as we, oh I don't know, play them?

Dialogue errors.

What
The
Fuck
Do the developers just hire the cheapest tester/script writer/translator they can find? There's noooooooo excuuuuuuuse for mistranslations or bad fucking spelling/grammar in dialogue.

Glitches
Again, bad testers much? Developers also. A key example of this is in FFIX - Thunder Slash. How the flying fuck did you not test out each and every character skill out thoroughly to see this? God dammit you suck!

Theres only a few things that really tick me off :\
- When Im far into a game and im almost at a save or at a boss battle, then my game freezes up. I hate that so much >.>
- When my disk says DISK ERROR over and over and over again.
- When a cut-scence goes on an on when my moms calling me. I just want it to be over so that i dont get into any trouble.
- When i cant find a save in time when i have to leave my house... I like games where you can save anywhere ^^

Ones from the top of my head:

- Europe being a low priority region for, but not limited to, RPG companies.

- Fanboyism. Particularly those disturbingly devoted Halo followers who jizz their pants at every new screenshot of Master Chief that is unveiled once in a while.

- Incompetent lame-assed gamers who resort to cheating online with the aid of aimbots and wall hacks etc.

- Spawn Point/Door blockers in online FPSs. F*ckin titw*nks!!!

- Discontinuation of classic games. Prices in marketplaces become overly inflated (understandably) and some become rarer than even hen's teeth.

Ah yes online fee's what a joke....but I still pay them >.>

I hate being nudged on msn it makes me want to climb inside mt pc and break things

I hate it when my discs die on my old games and I have to buy yet another copy

People making out that the graphics on the 360 are so much better than the PS2. NO SHIT. Funnily enough I buy games because I want to PLAY them, not because I want to WATCH them. Good graphics are an added bonus. If the game is crap I just won't play it regardless of how ''pretty'' it looks

on online games, people defend their ego like they'll die if they get proven wrong. (although it makes it more pleasurable to kill them)

oh and when the developers decide to make things easy on purpose, or insanely hard for no reason at all, I don't appreciate that

Online fee's... Here's my take... You don't 'OWN' a copy of the game, you're renting or leasing it... >-<

I hate the discs thing, too... My first disc of FFVIII no longer works... So I have to find me another working copy of the game... Annoying. >-< They should have a lifetime warranty on CDs, as long as you can prove you've got the game.

The last one... I agree. I love my PS2 games. Though I'd also like to play games on the 360, I love the PS2 as well... I've got like 3 times as many games for PS2 than for my Xbox. I don't see why you should IMMEDIATELY go to a next gen console... I still have games I want to get for my PS2, thanks... I'll settle for getting a 360 later...

Main thing I hate is the Whiney little bitches who think they own the world because their mommy or daddy bought then a game to shut them up so they can go have some "alone" time.

The other big gripe is camera angles. That single feature can make a game rock or suck testicles.

I hate random changes in a character's voice actor. Capcom are the worst offenders (RE4's Leon, DMC's Dante, etc). Though, luckily, the different actors, somehow, sound similar to the previous ones. Lucky for Capcom.

1. I hate when people complain at the repetition found in many action games when just about any type of game has a large degree of repetition involved, including rpg's. Very much so with rpg's actually.

Golden Axe had bugger all variety and it was ( and still is ) absolutely awesome.

2. When story seems to take presidence over gameplay ( I'm looking at you, Xenosaga... ). Sure, you might have an awesome backstory, but if I get just a couple of on-rails battles in return for who-knows how many consecutive 5-minute cut scenes then I think I'd rather just read a text file on GameFAQ's in my own time.

1) Making bosses hard for the sake of being hard.
2) having to level up a trillion times to beat said boss.
3) IMPOSSIBLE FREAKING JUMPS YOU MUST MAKE TO FINISH THE LEVEL *angry face*
4) shatty voice actors
5) NO MAP! Every game should have a map. I lurve maps.
6) Not enough ammo. (Like fighting Flood in the Library. -.-)
7) Long ways without a save point/checkpoint.
8) Getting clusterfucked by monsters
9) having to leave your vehicle and go on foot.
10) Terrible lighting! (Doom 3)
11) An uncannily smart foe that thwarts your attack no matter how many different ways you try it.
12) Terrible music. I was more exicted riding the elevator.
13) REALLY. BAD. DIALOUGE. (FF X)
14) Weak female characters that aren't worth the crap they dispose of.
15) Utterly senseless 'clothing' for female main chars. Clothes that don't clothe much, if you catch my drift.
16) Really promising, badass female chars, then they just get PWND for no frigging reason. *angry face*
17) glitches/bugs in the game that get you stuck.
18) authorities. the bloody guards are too good in some games. -.-
19) Storylines that are so linear I knew what was going to happen in the first five minutes.
20) Where the key reason behind some major plot twist completely defies the laws of physics and makes it sound like it's true when it ISN'T!!!!!
21) Timed boss battles
yeah, that's about it.

1) Voice actors.

Let's look at a few games; Final Fantasy X and X-2, Samurai Legend Musashi, Shining Force Neo...who the fuck hired these people? I can't stand listening to them. x_x

2) No Subtitle option.

No, I don't mean subtitles to the English speech. I mean subtitles to the original Japanese speech. For one, the originals are usually better than the English actors. For another, it makes more sense with the FMVs (if any). Finally, I just prefer it.

3) Excessively long dialogue or movie sequences.

The game I have that's especially guilty for this; Shining Force Neo. Seriously, there's a fifteen minute segment where it's nothing but dialogue and fancy videos! I could've made and eaten Ramen in that time! And in FFIX with Ark? The first time you use any summon, they give you the entire summon...meaning you have to sit there and watch a buncha fancy stuff for five minutes before you see the damage that's been done.

4) Repetitive speech.

Yes, it's one thing to make sure the player knows what they need to do...but if they have three different characters repeating the same lines over and over, it's annoying. x_x

Some more things that tick me off:

Gamers that are obviously jealous of a particular game and the attention it gets instead of the gamers' favorite game in the series, and therefore either bash the fans of that particular game and or, game developer.

Gamers that bash a game company for trying to please their fans by releasing sequels. Just because the fans wanted to see more of the characers/story.

Gamers that bash a game company that re-releases their old games that came out over 12 years prior with new, or improved graphics, on handhelds so gamers that never got a chance to play them can. But these gamers see this as a bad thing because the company is making money off it.

1. Hyprocrisy within every part of the gaming industry.

2. How gaming has become a pissing contest between companies and fanboys. I don't give a shit about how I'm wrong and that console/game A is better than console/game B or vice versa, I can make my own fucking mind up thanks.

3. People bitching how SE/Nintendo/EA/other random company is being boring by just releasing the same old hash, you aren't forced to pay for those games so what's the issue?

1. Consol wars. I want them to die

2. People at conventions that claim to be big fans of a certain video game even though they've never even played it. Why do they love said video game? Because the main character is so hawt!

3. People who claim to be big FFVII fans when all they have seen is Advent Children.

4. People that call themselves gamers but they refuse to play any game released before the PS2 because of ZOMG Graphics!

I wonder who the first two were directed at... You seem to be one of few people that hat have a perpetual problem with me... but, wtf ever...

I fekkin lol'd. I know that was directed at me and WolfBlack :wacky: By the way, we NEVER bashed them for making remakes, only their reliance on remakes and how everything else they make is halfassed.

Anyhoo, things that tick me off about gaming:

1. Sony fanboys. You can stfu about how your PS3 has super 1337 technology, that doesn't help the fact that atm it's FAILING because it costs developers and consumers too much. Oh and don't get me started on the PSP.

2. When I see a trailer for an awesome looking game, only to see that when it comes out it's been halfassed and the potential went to waste (this doesn't just apply to SE).

3. RPGs losing turn-based and random battles and going to action-RPGs. If I want an action game I'll play Devil May Cry damnit, give me back my oldschool system.

4. Graphics whores.

Let's see...

I already mentioned Halo fanboys and poor connection on Xbox Live.

I hate ANY game that has a time limit. I refuse to play 'em. I don't like feeling rushed.

Probably to increase the difficulty. It certainly makes games more difficult, as you have to think more quickly and make hasty decisions. The probability of making a mistake is greater.
